As someone who barely knew who this character was.... I gotta say, of all the DLC so far, I think I clicked with Terry the fastest. I even managed to get decent at using his command inputs.
His recovery is fairly predictable/gimpable and it feels like he can easily be kept out by anyone with a sword. Definitely feels high tier, but I don't see him in the top 20%.
Instead of finishing the jabstring, you should do jab1, jab 2 cancel into forward,down,down-forward b. Or into quartercircleforward b for kills. If you want to combo into final smash, do the full jabstring or jab 1,2 into qcf b and cancel into FS,

Dude Terry is insanely fun. I thought he was gonna be hard as hell, but the Shotos aren't too difficult to use. The only problem he has is recovery, but other than that, he's a BEAST at neutral game.
You don't understand the internal joy I felt when Sakurai said that Mai would not be making an appearance in any way, shape or form. WOMAN'S BEEN IN ENOUGH ALREADY.
What really helps him is not having to worry about how hard youre hitting the normal attack button, as well as not having the weird custom move set ups that ken and ryu like where jab just turns into strong up tilt at certain ranges for no reason.
I was one of those people that stayed with Smash 4 because my mains (Ryu, Cloud) got butchered so hard. Cloud, I will never get back but Sakurai made it up again with Terry. Nair strings and satisfying combos here I come :)
When Ryu came out in smash 4 he was like Jonathan. Like he was alright but he wasn't for me. Then Ultimate released with Ken. And he certainly was better. But then Terry comes out like Jotaro. Kicking your ass with style while rock music plays in the background

Cloud is so good in ultimate but not as good as smash 4. Still one of the best character imo
