- The following is a performance of various Hung Gar Kung Fu sets by YC Wong Lineage members: Wong Gar Kung Fu Family and Sifu Kurtis Fujita of Tiger Crane Kung Fu.
It was filmed during the Masters Demonstration of the 2016 Tempt One Martial Arts Tournament at East Los Angeles College.

Dude, fire bending and water bending got me into northern contemporary shalion and Japanese bujutsu arts. That cartoon was the shit and always the part of my inspiration to keep learning and going on.

You’re welcome. There are actually several combination styles of Hung Gar with other systems. Check out Hung Fut and Jow Gar for more information.

Also look up northern contemporary shalion gongfu(with hard and soft styles of neigong/qigong, sun and chen styles of both taijiquan, and baguazhang), japanese bujutsu, and choy li fut gongfu(21 different dummies, 150 different forms, single and dual sparring, empty hand and weapon forms). They're all effective and massive systems to be applied to western boxing, western and eastern wrestling, bujutsu's jujitsu umbrella term(judo, aikido, sumonojutsu).

Awesome 👏 I practice a village style of hung gar/fut gar and this is the first time I've seen a two-man form preformed fast and fierce like we do it. It has to be practiced @ real time speed.

Tiger Crane Kung Fu the first time i saw that iron wire set it was in the film master killer with rings , excellent job. its great to see young m/a keeping the traditional styles Alive.

Hung Gar is not like the sport of Wushu, it is meant for Self Defense so when you learn a Form you learn how to apply it. The form is a set of techniques and combinations strung together, basicly a encyclopedia of the favorite techniques of past masters.

Very Keen observation. The Pek Kwar system is performed by Megan Wong in the beginning of the video. While not a Southern Hung Gar form, it is part of the supplementary curriculum of the YC Wong lineage.

Yes you can fight with it. Just like you can fight with Taiji and Okinawan Karate. It is often not the style but the person who wields it. Styles are like languages. No language is superior to another, they are just a different way of expressing the same ideas.
