I have a manual ecoboost and it’s a blast driving it. It’s also a really good entry point to to the muscle car world considering how affordable it is to the GT and the amount of gas you save. Going to have this car for a couple more years before I get to the V8.

it’s horrible... i live in south texas about 30 minutes from the mexican border and we get 80-90 degree weather from february to mid november and winters weather here is like 50 degrees for maybe a few weeks at most and summer weather always right around 100 or above from june to september and it’s a nightmare, especially when you don’t have ac in your truck and only one window works 😅
That’s why I love Las Vegas....You’re in hell for 4 months out of the year and the rest of the year is great. It’s perfect right now and it will get a little colder but nothing that a light jacket won’t handle.
NY the best state to lived, perfect weather. Been living there for 13 years, 3 months of snow 3 month of spring and 3 months left of summer n the best season fall, sunny out while the temperature is around 60
I just traded my 2013 Focus ST in for a 2019 EcoBoost Premium with the 10R80. It’s just so damn smooth with the auto but I already miss the third pedal. The auto is also easier on my old knees, but it just doesn’t feel the same. Still, a huge upgrade over the ST and it’s much faster while still being stock. Let the mods begin! Cheers, Joe, and thanks for another great video. Keep ‘em coming and we’ll keep watching!
That first point you made is why I subscribe to your channel over other car reviewers. Keep it up! Love the videos. Helping me decide what car to get every day (literally, I watch these every day on various cars, not even in the market for like 4 weeks)!
Love my 2019 ecoboost performance pack such an underrated car and the manual is so much fun to drive. The Ford warrantied racing tune really wakes the car up and extends the power range and the torque. Ty Joe
That tune is great! The warranty is even better. I blew up and my dealer (who installed the tune) tried to deny warranty because it was tuned. Ford backed the dealer saying you could not floor the mustang gas pedal, Ford Performance made Ford buy me a new motor.

It's really about the manual. There's only a couple of cars left that come with a manual. You can count them on one hand! This looks like a very nice car for the right buyer.
@@calebniederhofer6529 Well, I wasn't citing data, I was just making a hyperbolic comment that seems applicable to the current state of the auto industry. The best reason to get a manual is so that when the crappy ford manual craps out over time, you can replace it with a getrag T-6. The factory trans slowly destroys itself over time to the point it won't shift anyone. But the point to any manual is the fun of driving it and the driving involvement it provides. All anybody seems to care about is acceleration. The 2.3 is great for low end torque. As you said, the light weight up front improves handling. So if you enjoy driving curves, the 2.3 is better than the 5.0. Thx for the review.
I got a 2020 Eco premium with the black accent package. That is the best bang for your buck package on this car and was a must have for me. The manuals are very rare so I got an automatic. There is also no remote start with the manual which I wanted.
As an owner of a 2018 Ecoboost for 18 months I'd recommend for a first mod get rid of the silent exhaust for a Borla ATAK catback and add an Afe dry filter and drive it in Sport+ when feeling like it. If you don't want to spend a lot (because the Borla is top quality) just the axle-back is good too.

Stay away from the manual ecoboosts.. I believe there are issues with the Getrag MT-82 transmission (2011-2017), MT-82-D4 (2018+). Problems arise after 5k miles. Not sure the 10 speed auto is built any better 🤧
Don’t know about that. My 18 ecoboost has almost 50K miles, and there are no issues with my MT82. I’m not slamming shifts on a drag strip though. It’s my daily driver, but also a fun car for the occasional canyon carving on weekends.
I get that they don’t want the EcoBoost to be faster than the GT. But after years in production, and still only 310 horse. That’s a bit disappointing. You’d think it would be up to 345 or so by now. Without having to buy the new performance package for 40k.

I’m in Canada... so I’m looking forward to my second season of winter driving (with winter tires of course) It’s serious FUN during the winter if you’re not afraid to dance with danger! 🤣🤣🤣
Before I got the mustang, a friend was sure that a civic si was the car for me. But I didn’t even test drive one though I’m sure it’s a fun car. I’ve always wanted a mustang and now I have one! I don’t regret it one bit.
@@jm9937 I always wanted a Mustang, but since I couldn't get one, I ended up getting the Civic Si instead and learned how to drive with a manual on it. It's a fun lightweight car, but it could use more power, and it's not very torquey. I'm in the talks with a dealership right now, and I'm debating if I should pull the trigger. It'll cost me more, but it is a fully loaded Ecoboost, with features I'd want to add if I keep my Civic for longer.
🐎🏁what I can say is the S550 has done the best in appearance with the 4 cylinder than previous generations. If you don’t need the authentic deep growl of a V8 the ecoboost will sit you well for less 💰💵💰

Dude.. I love the kiss comparison. Lol. Yeah. I got the manual ecoboost not for fun but for my needs. I still my Hyundai Elantra but had to go because she was dying. Anyway... manual trans are very fun. You are in command and control rather than just in command. However, I would get a automatic for GTs though. That’s recommendable
Can’t wait for you to get your hands on the Mach 1!
Same here!
Love my 2017 ecoboost manual gear 317 cv.
I picked up my 2015 Ecoboost just over a year ago. Its my only vehicle so I daily drive it everyday and every single day I enjoy my commute a helluva lot more than the other suckers on the road!! I’ve gone on cruises and roads trips and love just driving it. AND... I’m in Canada... so I’m looking forward to my second season of winter driving (with winter tires of course) It’s serious FUN during the winter if you’re not afraid to dance with danger! 🤣🤣🤣
Which car did you have before the Ecoboost 🤔
@@mistamaog a Kia Forte5
@@jm9937 Seems like a huge upgrade lol. I'm considering on getting an Ecoboost, coming from a Civic Si.
I was seriously considering the ecoboost until I saw the "on throttle" expression .....😄
Looks like GT 👍
Nice Mr Joe, 6 speed stick. 🔥
Thanks my friends!
awesome video. great car
🐎🏁what I can say is the S550 has done the best in appearance with the 4 cylinder than previous generations. If you don’t need the authentic deep growl of a V8 the ecoboost will sit you well for less 💰💵💰
I am so glad that you like this one.
@@RaitisRides I bought a 2020 🐎GT, but I’m glad the ecoboost is stylish too😎
Nice!!!😀its a fun mustang and not too excessive at the same time!!Maybe they should make that 4 ecoboost sound different but the rest of the package is a great choice.
Good stuff Joe, you had me LOL at the "making out all night and might get to home plate"😁😂👍👍
Looks like a great car that just needs a bigger intercooler and a good tune so you can rock it hard!
Thanks for letting share some laughs with you Tom! You are so very right about that!
Always a good review on the Mustang!
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Here's one I can sink my teeth into; not too much power, but it beats heck out of the 2 I used to own
@@adama047 I know how you feel!
Hey Joe, know you like the ego boost motor and you like Shelby American. I have a 2017 ego boost Shelby GT. It is one of one. Shelby discontinued this 2 weeks into my build.
ego boost motor LOL dont know if that was intentional or by accident but it was funny!
The 2.3L engine is great. It pulls very hard.
definitely comparable to a pre coyote 5.0/302, or the 4.6 gts prior to the coyote. From a pure power numbers standpoint. IDK about differential/powerband. But still to be able to get that power and the price offered for the 2.3 eco is nice to see
I come for the Mustang reviews!
Ford my favorite Mustang!
Nice!
Fun Review !
Thank you Joe!
The orange one in the back kept my attention honestly
Is this the only spoiler option available? Can’t I get a bigger and wider larger one on the eco boost premium?
Every Mustang gets better when you row your own gears!
Wide words!
I’d even proclaim Camaro driver’s tip their hat to manual Mustang drivers.
But the Chinese transmission ruins it, according to many.
Needs the Tremec for durability!
Nice video keep it going
Cool one Joe
7:20 test drive starts here
thank you Raiti
You are so very welcome!
In throwing the the gt 350 spoiler on my 2020 eco I got the kona blue with the black accent package with the active dually exhaust I love the car I will get a cobra in a few years used maybe new love the videos brother
I love the orange one, if I could find one for around 20 I'd buy
Any advice on making a TH-cam channel?
Just start filming content and see what your viewers want.
Yo Joe, please do a review on the new 2021 Highlander XSE PLEASE!!
New air intake, down-pipe and exhaust with a tune, you'll get over 400 hp no problem..
You are so very right about that Bill!
Which car do you recommend for first sport car starter??? I never had sport car.
