That definitely looks like a tricky park to skate, one that you’d need a few trips to get used too. Good job with the roll on grind, every session is progress.
Yeah I would have given the park more of a go to be honest, particularly the mini ramp bit but the 2 toddlers were launching their scooters down the ramps (without them being on them) whilst their mums paid absolutely no attention 🤣
Well done mate. Please go back though, now you know the lay of the land. Let’s see the no-comply shuv in a line soon. Pop to caveman> nc shuv> Ollie to 5050?
@ungracefulmovement Thanks, I will re-visit as it's only 10 mins away. Only downside is its over a toll bridge so costs me £4 a go 😂 I had been to the driving range for an hour before (Dad Leisure!), so if I'd have just gone straight to the park I reckon I'd have had a good hour to get stuck in before the kids arrived. I feel a 'Taming The Lizard' video coming on! Challenge accepted regarding the line... I haven't sussed out the pop to caveman yet though. My challenge to you is rolling shuv! (extra points for pop)
New skateparks are always a challenge man. Everytime I go to one I always feel like a fish out of water. Park looks a little rough but got plenty of potential!! Nice caveman!! 🤙
Thanks man yeah new parks are awkward but this one has potential like you say! The biggest thing affecting my session was the kids running loose 😆but I will go back because it's probably my best local outdoor park for trying transition tricks 🤟
Yeah bro it just threw me off with the kids and mums watching me, felt I couldn't try too much out of my comfort zone! Good one for us to do when you come up
Looks like a fun place even if it is a bit crusty! Nothing worse than parents letting their kids run riot and that's not just skateparks, I'm all for letting kids play and explore but there's a time and place for it! I get what you mean about the roll on grind, I did the same thing a while back, thought it would be a one and done but took me so long to feel comfortable enough to commit to it
Yeah it was a weird one. The kids were using the skatepark to ride around most of the time (not just playing on it) so felt I couldn't really say anything, they have as much right to be there as me but it just meant I couldn't film much or try anything too dangerous where they could get in the way.
@@DadLeisureSkateboarding it's a public place so you can film if there's kids about, it's not like you're going around following them with the camera! But I totally get it, I'm always worried I'm gonna run someone over so tend to stick to one area wherever it's quiet
@Fenfilms Haha thats mental! Great little park to be fair by our standards and I have been back since. I think I prefer it to Vicky Park. Not seen you post for a while mate you still getting out?
@@DadLeisureSkateboarding I still skate but not been filming much. I only get the odd short session in these days. Just seen your last video about your injury. Sorry to see that. Have a rest. Hope you can get back on your board. Maybe give up on ollying stair sets though!
😂 Yeah I think those days are gone now. Might set a 2 stair limit, 3 on a good day! Glad you still get out. Nice to not have the burden of filming sometimes but I did really enjoy what you put out there and they deffo helped me find my way around the local parks! Hopefully catch you at one soon if I come out of this OK 💪

Ah I hate that feeling when you don’t feel like you’ve had a good session. That park looks good though, a nice one to push the boundaries

I talk to the mums, everyone feels more comfortable then 😂. Yeah cool, we’ll set a date soon

The Lizard Bowl. Named after the day I broke my ankle trying to save a lizard that was stuck in the small bowl. I shit you not!
