If you think Mario Kart wrecks friendships, then you never played the forgotten PS1 classic NASCAR Rumble, which is the same idea only with NASCAR legends with even more broken powerups and a class system that ensures a quick ending to the evening's events and possibly a shallow grave in the backyard.

Thinking of as I recall, Future Cop LAPD had a thing where if your co-op buddy took damage, you did too (even to the point where if one of you fell into an insta-kill, both die), but you DIDN'T share ammo reloads (or was it just buffed weapons? ). Uhm.. WHAT?! Also, if you do a commenter edition, add League of Legends. Stealing kills, or stealing creeps, or arguing over who should get a gank or what items to get... need I say more?
Dunno. Regarding your #1 pick I'd say that MK online at least, can actually be quite a bonding experience if you're 2 playering it and queueing into races. I remember Mario Kart Wii fondly. When me and my eldest daughter (who was about 12 at the time) where she would basically just act as a complete loon towards all of the other racers. Just to improve daddy's chances of winning.
I never played Halo 2, but I did do a Halo 4 legendary co-op (no skulls that would make us restart whole levels) and I remember it being pretty cordial
Back in when i was 21, my friends used to come over for game night on the multiple n64s we had. I literally never won a single mario party round. But to this day! I am top contender in mario kart. The challenge everyone tries to defeat

Mario Kart is a lot like Mario Party too. Your performance at the beginning can be rendered worthless because the CPU is powered up in the last laps to keep up with you, and they and other players will get power ups to keep up or outshine you if your lead is too big. It's not really random at that point, the game really is trying to screw the lead player.
Curious to know, have you played the co-op game (can't recall the name) about the 2 friends (brothers) in jail. If you have, is it any good? I see it on the psn for mad cheap & wondered about it.
I played a baseball game with a good friend when I was young. He got so mad one day because I kept stealing bases and he wanted me to stop because he thought it wasn’t fair. Needless to say I didn’t and he got mad and tried to fight me

Tekken 3 was the one that al.ost ruined my friendships. I was so much better than any of my friends that a rule was put into place that it was three wins and then you're done.
We did a drunk 6 man free for all on Brawlhala and one of our friends was blackout and thought we were ganging up on him, he blocked us all and hasnt spoken to any of us since, this was 3 years ago lol
the first Ghost Recon's multiplayer mechanics were so ahead of it's time. campaign split screen was a1, and the head to head was some of the first war simulated fps "1v1 me bro" moments I had.
CRAWL. My god, this game literally makes you betray and kill your friends in a big competition to escape a dungeon and kill an elder god. If only it had online play.
