It should be a rule going forth that everyone has to pick a different game for the minigame wheel. The fact that everyone except Brent chose the same game makes it feel kind of rigged.
Honestly I suspect they're running out of good 1v3 ideas that they believe are in any way balanced. They don't want to repeat games, after all, and this is why they were so scared of another 1v3 at the end when it's only turn 14.

I think he wanted to roll low so that he could have a chance at the star, but ended up rolling high, saw Bowser and got sent to the start after losing coins. That’s why Brent said he lost his star.

For the last 5 turns you could try simulate Mario Party's positive RNG for the last place player by adding 1 extra favorable option in any roll. For example, instead of rolling a dice of 1 - 10, it could have 11 numbers and last place chooses one number that he'd like to have repeated, let's say he wants #4: 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5,... 10. Not a game changer, but a mini buff to spice things up
