Not only Italians. Most old world counties. I am from the Middle East and there’s a bidet in every bathroom and restroom that exists anywhere. I don’t get how the West don’t use it. Just the idea of walking through my day after with out a bidet gives me butt-anxiety 😭😂
As middle Easterns we only use water to clean ourselves or what you call it now a bidet! We use tissues only to dry the area cleaned & its part of our culture since ages& i dont get it how some people till nowadays still think this is something weird!... . Cuz its cleaner that way dude
American dude here. I’ve had the Amazon bidet attachment on my toilet for about 10 years and it’s life changing. Every time I bring it up people try to tell me it’s weird or gross and I’ve never figured out why. I always tell them it’ll change your life.
Ever since weve installed bidets in our previous rentals weve lived at, cant imagine life without one. Family makes fun of us but really changes the whole clean feeling throughout your day and makes a real difference in how you feel. Cool thing is, they are pretty damn inexpensive now.

As Indians we have a more advanced version called handshowers or hygiene shower which are much more soothing and relaxing😂 and the best part is you dont have to switch seats.. 😉
yes! so important for proper hygiene. i carry a peribottle with me to use as a bidet when i travel - you can also keep one in your bathroom to use instead of installing a bidet if you don’t already have one.

I wish bidets were standard in Canadian homes. My parents immigrated from Portugal and the bidet was the first item they bought when they bought their first house (house was built by Italian immigrants). My younger cousins did not have one so they did not know what bidets were. They laughed at the purpose and proceeded to use my parents' bidet as a swimming pool for their Barbie dolls!
The bidet is really helpful ... I dont understand why in not Mediterranean countries it is not used very often. When the bathroom is to small it is difficult, but there is always shower.

I don’t know but I think that sprayer just gonna spray the poop everywhere. If it’s just spraying straight how it’s it going to clean it? I would need the soap and really get in there to clean that area. Easier just to get in the shower and wash urself after. Or just use wipes.
Agree. Not so common in Brazil, it should. But at least we take daily showers (usually 2 showers a day). Minimum (the numbers of showers increase due to physical exercises and/or heat wave).
Perhaps the bidet is something good for ladies. I wash my macro cosmos everyday to feel clean and well (but I do not use the bidet) (I pull that macro cosmos out and wash him on the lavatory)so I imagine how important it is for ladies to have a bidet.
We also use water to wash properly it's the norm in the middle east, the fact that some people make fun of people who wash with water is hilarious to me, like think about what's happening when you only use paper to wipe about the "microcosmos" 😂 eww
I’ve never found that spraying water made me feel especially clean. If I got poop on my arm I wouldn’t feel clean just washing it with water. I use cleaning wipes with a mild soap, followed by regular paper. It’s the best way imo, although not super ecologically friendly
