- In this video, I will share with you the process of creating a Stylized Bucket for my Artstation portfolio. I will show you the whole cycle of creating a 3D model from start to finish. You will see my workflow and learn different 3D modeling techniques.This bucket took me over 40 hours to make - so I don't explain the basic stuff in this video. Listen - and I agree with you, I played sea of thieves 150+ hours and apparently subconsciously remembered the shapes of the bucket, but when creating this model I did not use any concept art !

I have a question about GameDev/Portfolios - when it comes to working for studios, how do they see - how many models can be unique as this bucket vs. modelled with trimsheets etc.?
I like stylized models but I have blockers in my mind to not make them very much stylized-unique on every part that way as they (planks of bucket in this example) cannot be used anywhere else probably.
Totally agree - my task was to create a beautiful work in portfolio, in real game everything is kept on overlaps and duplication of elements ! I just created a beautiful art and showed my approach to work )

Hi ! I know about this method - it is quite good and used in modern games, but there is a little nuance with it - it is not suitable for mobile piplane. That's why I show a long process with manual retopology to make the model suitable for requirements in mobile game - in general it's a useful skill and can be useful in studio work ! But in the future I will record videos and apply zremesher in my works )
