I gotta say, many of the Overlord's designs are awesome. I love the Golden Master form, as well as the Dragon and Crystal King form. However, the one form that I've wanted a mini figure of for the longest time was a proper Garmadon Form. That design was scary, unnerving, and really amazing. I would absolutely love for Lego to try and attempt that design, making it as faithful as possible.
They *kiiinndaa* did in one of the Season 2 sets, but it was just Garmodan wearing a samurai/Stone Warrior mask over his helmet and Wolverine claws. I think they don't want to make it because of the hands, it'll require making a brand new mold for pretty much no other reason, plus it might be pretty breakable, so who knows if we'll ever get it.

If his Garmadon & Nindroid forms counted as forms despite just him possessing something...wouldn't the small great devourer count as well then?

For me, I think Legacy 1 Overlord's design took inspiration from him possessing Garmadon, since that minifigure has four arms, The Helmet of Shadows, and his face print has also similar design to the show, albeit, the head only being trans-purple. Also design-wise, I think it kinda predicted of how the designers took inspiration from the Overlord's Crystal King form having four arms as well...
And his torso looks like the golden master form

A while ago I thought of a new form of the Overlord that would have showed more of his necromancer side. I imagine that he would look a bit like a lich with his body looking like a rotting corpse that is a fusion of a human and something else. In terms of abilities I imagine that he would use his powers to mimic the Ninja’s elementals creating negative versions of them. I like to think he would use his powers to mimic Lloyd’s powers the most just to give the Green Ninja a big middle finger

I love all of his forms. The overlord is probably one of the top 5 best ninjago villains and he's got a terrifying way of showing that. Funny thing Is that when I was a kid, his digiverse form was my favourite because he looked liked his ancient form and before that IT was my favourite so..😅. My favourite form Now though is his possessed garmadon form which is honestly horrifying. The way the camera zoomed in on his face, the way he moved the way he laughed....he was the pure definition of menacing that time. But I love all of his forms.

My personal favorite form is his ancient form he just looks like a pure being/embodiment of darkness, evil and power. I wish we could see more of it.

I wonder can the Overlord still transform into his original form and the other forms that we saw in the early Njnjago seasons because In his Crystal King form the Overlord is basically a Centuar/dragon hybrid and I remember hearing that he could change his appearance at one point. I imagine that for his Golden Master appearance he can still make himself still look like that but just without the golden power stuff
One form you forgot is the Crystal King with only 2 arms that appeared in one LEGO set! (if you consider it a new form x) )
If you're going to include the Nindroid Form, you should've also included the Great Devourer form from the flashback since the Overlord did possess it then as revealed in Crystalized. But I gotta say, my favorite form is definitely the Final Crystal King form or the Golden Master Form!
The thing is that The Overlord used the word "possess" and "corrupt" interchangeably in that scene.
He says "It was I who possessed the serpent that bit your hand! It was I who corrupted the Great Devourer and set him against you!" (Copypaste from Ninjago Wiki)
Though if we include the Nindroid, he did also technically possess the Nindroid Mechdragon for a bit of Season 3 Episode 4/5
Still, my personal favorite is golden master form.
He looks so badass in that form with his golden armor and gasly purple cape on his back.(plus he looks so flex.)
Crystal king form was amazing to, but still, season 3`s final form was amazing. (I really wonder what is he doing right now, having a huge, luxury vacation party on somewhere in hell I guess?)
Honestly GarmaOverlord, Big mouth Dragon Overlord, BlobOverlord, and CovidOverlord are my favorite forms
I just don't get why his voice kept changing. His voice in his first spirit form and in Season 3 was a higher pitched, more creepy voice. In his Garmadon, Dragon, and Crystalized forms, his voice was deeper and more beastly.
My favorite forms are definitely Golden Master, Legacy 1, Crystal King and his Crystal Centaur form.

You forgot the Garmadon mini figure from the temple of light set, but I’m pretty sure that’s more of a Garmadon figure than an overlord mini figure, so I’d say you got them all.
2:58 I would call this form his weakened state form as he says in the show "They must not see me in my weakener state."
I like the crystal king form, mostly cause it teases that he could be one of the few Oni’s that followed the first spinjitzu master

i think Pythor cofed out the overlord because he possessed the great devourer remember and Pythor was eaten by him so maby they have some sort of connection which is why in crystalized he is a part of the crystal council
Fun fact: Overlord original form is a dragon that explain why he is weak too an oni
You forgot to mention one form from season 3 which is the overlords form after he got the gold and before he became the golden master when he had a walking cane which is pretty much in between the prototype form and the golden master aka the prototype form looking like the golden master but it was seen in the video you just never mentioned it

Hello Tannerfishies, do you can to do video on how Pythor knows about Crystal King in Kryptarium Prison? He was arrested, and he say to the Ninja " All hail Crystal King " Overlord is hiding for years, and how Pythor can know that or maybe he got some connection, and working with Harumi?
After Harumi recruited Aspheera and Vangelis, the rumors were spreading among the evil criminals. Even Fugidove knew about it.
I'm thinking maybe I should just get the Crystal King set, since I can't get all the sets at once.
My favourite Overlord forms are the Crystal King form, the shadow form, the dragon form and the spirit form number two.
I wanted to make a correction, the Overlord's dragon form isn't his true form...his spirit form is his true form as it is his form without a vessel, aka what he was when he first came into existence which is his true form...his Dragon form is just the final form of his garmadon form, it is a dragon because Garmadon is part dragon
It’s probably his most powerful form too since he was able equal to the FSM (who had mastered every element including time and golden power)
@@TruelyGumdrop well first off...we have not got confirmation that the FSM ever had the elemental power of time, since Water, Wind & Amber were 3 powers he did not have and yet they have elemental masters
Golden Power however is the literal opposite to the Overlord's power of Darkness, it is light
but yeah most likely the Overlord's spirit form is his most powerful as not only is it his true form but also a form that allows him to possess others with

I think his true form is the form he took before the Golden Master form. That form isnt really shown in the video but its basically just his Golden master form but he hadnt absorbed the golden weapons. I think thats his true form because his body had no modifications or anything like that whereas the dragon form had garmadon in it.
not many people know about the overlord coming back between the golden master appearance and the crystal king appearance. he was the villain of the decoded mini series which i’m pretty sure isn’t canon. but it was cool for him to return again before this.
Overlords spirit 2 design sucks I wish they stayed with the original.

I'd use Legacy 1 form to represent him in his default fully reformed state, the helmet he wears looks like the Helmet of Shadows, the helmet that controls the Stone Army.
And Jay got upset about Garmadon's many forms
I always preferred him more in the earlier seasons. The way he was modeled to not even look like proper LEGO was something that helped him look truly demonic and unnatural.
I think the crystal king form was his most powerful.

I guess he did also possess the nindroid dragon in season 3 when Pythor reviled himself to Lloyd and captured him. Although I’m not sure if you’d just count that as Overborg/virus/staring-out-of-screens form as well.
I love how you described the Second "Spirit" form of the Overlord as a parasite. I think all forms are great for him because they all show him at stages of power, Dragon being his most powerful with nothing added to him while Crystal Centaur Beast form is him powered up even more than his Final Dragon form. Golden Master complete form comes second to the Crystal Centaur Beast form.
Also is the overlord an oni yes or no we don't even know
The Overlord Dragon is referred to as his true form so I think that the Overlord is a dragon.

@@zephon6745except it wasn’t his true form. Misako’s knowledge was flawed because way later, the overlord in crystalized says that Garmadon was a vessel. He turned into a dragon because of Garmadon’s dragon blood. The vessels the overlord takes forces him to follow limitations. Example: His crystal king form made him rely on drawing power from a crystal to get stronger, while his possessed garmadon form relies on him evolving. Then his golden master form made him rely on technology and golden power, never really his own power. His real form is his ancient form, which isn’t a vessel, but a giant black mass with no limitations.

Overlord Is alive Again In Ninjago Future 2023
Personally I have a theory that the Overlord is similar to that of Lloyd, in more ways than you think, He is portrayed as both a Dragon and a being similar to an Oni but it was never clear what his species was, he is quite literally the embodiment of evil, Darkness Incarnate and the fact that the FSM shares somewhat of the same origins, it is safe to assume that they are equals so to speak, meaning that Lloyd similar to the FSM is both Oni and Dragon partly thanks to the Overlord, therefore, wouldn't it only make sense if the Overlord also had a descendent whom may also be both Dragon and Oni yet, only due to the FSM for his Dragon side which would basically mean, Overlord == FSM & Lloyd == Overlord's descendant?
You missed the the great devour overlord form, like overlord said he controlled the great devour when he was just a little snake and cause he made the great devour THE great devour and that is the reason Hermione joined Lloyds side once again. But still this was an amazing video!
