'Pretty much everyone' in No 10 called Boris Johnson 'the trolley', says Dominic Cummings

- The Covid inquiry started taking evidence from witnesses in June, but recently resumed to interrogate members of Boris Johnson's inner circle at the start of the pandemic.

Johnson's former chief adviser, Dominic Cummings, gave evidence to the committee alongside Lee Cain, his director of communications at the time. Cummings said No 10 had been 'hopeless' for dealing with Coronavirus and suggested the UK could have avoided lockdowns with a proper test and trace system. The former aide went on to say 'pretty much everyone' in the cabinet agreed with him in calling Boris Johnson a 'trolley' because of his inconsistency.

@@edwardmaclean-bs7vl He has never been known for being anything other than scruffy. My late mother would have said he looks as though he could do with a thorough scrub-down with carbolic soap and a wire brush. Personally, I would insert said brush into a certain fundamental orifice....and THEN begin scrubbing.

Especially when it's to attack the hypocrisy of partygate rather than the original sin of putting in place draconian rules that could only do harm to the economy, harm children's development and increase the national debt and the cost of servicing that debt. For my part, I wanted Dominic Cummings to be questioned about his role in 2021 when he was (probably) blackmailing the PM with partygate photos, in order to force him to continue with the disproportionate response, when by this time most people had come to their senses and understood that it was a relatively mild illness, although dangerous to some.

Why when in office did these M Ps and staff not speak up. They are just as bad, such hypocrisy and without Integrity. WE HAVE NO DECENT PEOPLE TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY.

What does the trolley mean?????
From the video I gather it's to 'change direction unpredictably'.
Seems some people have issues with supermarket trolleys misbehaving and veering off of the intended direction, not my experience, but that's what they have compared Boris Johnson to.
Hardly the worst thing he's been compared to, but I suppose 'directionless' or 'there to be pushed' are just too on the nose.
It's a reference to Johnson going off in different directions like a shopping trolley with a wonky wheel.
