Nice job detailing the installation, Vlad. Tips on corrector plate care are important! Can really mess the optics up.
Curious to see your follow-up using this thing. Advantages over external dew heater strips, especially. Seems like an added expense to have to buy a metal dew shield to accommodate wiring.
That said, you're always on top of the latest developments. Appreciate that very much. Thanks for the tutorials!

Yup, will post a follow-up once I get some use time out of these! Thanks!

Sometimes I'm glad I live in the high desert, especially all Winter and because it's over 4500 feet the Summers are not terrible either. My dew shields have been plenty to stop any dewing on my scopes.

Yup, that's one advantage to a dry climate. Here there have been plenty of times that even with both a dew shild and dew heater the optics still get dewed up, especially on larger scopes.

@@AVTAstro I've borrowed an 8" SCT and no dew shield and at 60% humidity it wanted to dew up until it warmed up coming out of my ac in truck.

Good content as always, thanks for sharing. Three Questions (i consider getting that set for my 9.25SCT):
I already seen a super long slide that explained how the dew heater ring does not impact the seeing/picture quality so
    1. U live in a rough enviroment, u got any experience on how effective the dew heater ring is?
    2. Is it possibe to put the standard dust cap on the scope with the dew heater ring installed?
    3. U have experience on putting a Bahtinov mask not right on the corrector plate ring but on the dew heater? I wonder if Bahtinov mask is usable like half a meter away from the corrector plate.

      Thanks!
      1) Not the ring. I have not used it yet. I will post a review once I have spent some time under the stars with it.
      2) dust cover works just fine!
      3) don't use them so not sure.

Just a thought; would a magnetic screwdriver be helpful here?

I think that it sure would! Good tip!
