    You didn't really touch upon the V variant though. For that extra RM 5000, you basically get 2 more airbags, 4 more (mini) speakers, leather interior (not just the seats, but the steering wheel and upholstery as well), LED headlamps, smart lane assist camera and also fog lamp (which is basically useless for me).
    So the extra 5k for V variant is really an amazing deal. For me, either get an S (budget version) or go for V. The E variant cost 7k more than S and the only useful addition are the infotainment system and reverse camera.

    Thanks for the helpful review, Adrian! I could relate to many of the things you said as I'm upgrading to my first Japanese car. I decided to choose E because of the infotainment unit (yes, I use my phone a lot in the car, especially waze). The remote starting and cruise control are icing on the cake for me. The leather seats, more premium feel and additional speakers/2 airbags that come with the V variant are unimportant for me. Thank you for helping me choose which variant to buy. I had a headache picking and I initially thought only V variant came with the infotainment system =)

    For Petrol variants, it's either you go for V or S. E really isn't worth it in my opinion. If you're thrifty, just go for the S. If you want some extra creature comforts, go for the V. The extra 5k is well worth it, especially with the additional 2 airbags. If you can only afford the E, my suggestion would be for you to hold your purchase, and save a little more so that you could afford the V.

      V added some nice to have features except good extra airbags (some go 10+years or decades without any major accidents with airbags ejected - 4 is adequate for experienced healthy driver, given the probability of occurence alone ) ..
      leather seat in hot humid malaysia with outdoor parking is the norm ? extra speakers is depend on personality not all like it loud for comfort and talk conversation pro people... lane watch just create more things to distract you from facing the front street (ol skool perfectly tilted side mirror is enough for decades of experience drivers), LED lamp that not stylish - like noise curling ripple effect is not good enough for me... as the E S variant is cosmetic ..
      And then have to fork out extra 6k?

    I wish car manufacturers here can start offering more optional add ons and customisation to the car offerings, as for example I'm quite a picky person with unique preferences for each aspect of the car. For example, I very much prefer the E over the V mainly because of the maintenance and replacement costs for the tyre and potentially the mirrors, if V spec car with honda sensing, moto hits your mirror and the whole unit needs replacement thats 1k or 2k down the drain, compared to 200 for a primitive mirror.
    On the other hand, I spec E comes with regular urethane wrapped steering wheel, and I very much prefer the leather wrapped one on the V. I also like the V spec's beige interior, whilst the E is just hard plastics.
    So yeah it would be great if car companies provide more options and customisations to the interior for additional costs, though I can understand that to make this happen you would need alot more cost on the factory and supply chain side and Malaysia's car market size does not provide the necessary returns for the investment needed for it

    • @joshuavictor4593

      @WapCar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In overseas cars are sold with a base price and you can add on your accessories like headunit, wheels, etc, because they're dealer fitted options. However, in Malaysia cars are required to obtain an approved pricing from the Government so they can't have the two of the same car with drastically different price. Plus, individual spec is going to cost a lot more which majority of Malaysian consumers are not willing to pay haha.

      @adkan1995 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WapCar wow TIL! (Today I learned)
      Government policies promoting anti consumer behaviours, what a surprise 🙄
      I can imagine if the taxes isn't so high so the base price for a city is 60k for example, then by the time you add on everything you like it gets to 80k-90k, people are still willing to swallow that amount, but nope! Its just not made for malaysians to have nice things isnt it
