Just breaking early doesn't mean it's better, in a real world scenario car should break only and only when it's totally necessary, premature full breaking will cause unpredictable results and safety issues. I had tested my xuv700 AEB with service centre. There are 3 levels of breaking, 1st is warning with slight break, 2nd is partial break, which is pretty strong, 3rd is full break, which is the strongest. The system is designed in such a way to serve multiple conditions on Indian roads, from avoiding rear ending a car in front of you to avoiding a collision with a car or pedestrian all together. System never breaks too early, otherwise you'll have constant breaks in Indian traffic conditions which will render your driving experience horrible. Tuning matters a lot.
AEB is tuned similarly for all cars. It's not XUV specific. At city/low speeds, it brings the car to a complete halt but when you're on a highway or doing high speeds, it applies light brakes as a warning.
@@autoX at Highway speed or low speed, AEB in XUV700 is designed to bring down the speed by 50 kmph at max, as per owners manual. That means at any speed above 50 if full AEB is applied, car will never come to a stop, as the system releases brakes when speed is cut down by 50 kmph - tested this on Highway. However if speed is less than 50 then full AEB can bring the car to a standstill (if system decides to apply full AEB)
Expecting gradual linear breaking in AEB beats the purpose. It should wait for human reaction and act only very late to minimise damage. It seems he does not understand what "emergency" means.

Better to keep a camera near the legs
Why isn't the Gloster & Safari Red Dark is here?
Why not included Astor with level 2 ADAS?
I had no trust in the camera based ADAS system. But this video makes me think opposite. For the information City has camera based ADAS system.
Radar is for metal and camera for everything else so both have to work together.
Other than the Mercedes of course, the second one that I like has to be the Hyundai ionic
I think a perfect testing would be rolling a dummy in a standing positing in front of a car....when the car is about a meter or two far away.
That will be like a real life situation and we can see which car does good!!!
I hope you are aware of the fact that XUV700 does have a setting to change it's sensitivity from Low to high in order to break early or late
Exactly they didn't mention what the ADAS braking settings were before the testing began.
Why MG Astor was not included?
Are You Control xuv s breaking time
Using a real human is clearly stupid 😢 especially when Adas is so flawed right now
I was expecting just opposite of it as Honda city is having camera based ADAS while the others have Radar based.
But surprisingly city performed really well.
Another reason to love City ♥️
It would have been better if full size dummy was used and at different speeds also as 40 kmph isn't ideal
will you never bring the Virtus GT test track drive video?
Thinkin of buying Ioniq, Looks so futuristic and good range. My Octavia and I20 nline is giving just 8-9kmpl with AC in city. Fuel bills are like 30k per month. Running is 2500km per month.
Does i7 has adas function?
It's was braking fast because of the settings of that particular car
Could you test mahindra 3xo , not a single video on its ADAs and AEB
Wow Amazing reviews 👏
So does this mean city's camera based adas is better than radar based adas even though people say that it is inferior to radae based adas.
If you've seen international driving classes, you'll understand that emergency breaking means just that, abrupt emergency breaking, there is nothing natural or smooth about it. The Merc is literally doing what emergency breaks mean.
One of the first cars in Indian market with ADAS Level 2 MG astor missing in this is sad
It actually works best
Maybe the stopping setting in the XUV 700 is set to LATE. Changing in to early or normal will be better.
My city actually saved pedestrian jaywalking highways many times, and it did it really well. Altho....
PLEASE STOP JAYWALKING ON HIGHWAYS AND EXPRESSWAYS ITS REALLY SCARY 💀
Did you let the car brake on itself in the third try of the 700?
I let the car brake on its own on all the occasions. Only stepped in when I realised it won’t stop before the cones, which is what happened on the first two attempts. Third attempt is when it stopped without any intervention.
@@shivank_bhatt Okay!
xuv700 abes was on early mode or late mode?
Early.
You have to set the distance in xuv 700 and ioonq 5
Even before the video started I knew it would be City!
Really sir you comparison top 3 cars with test drive and es se better kya hoga test drive ke sath complete features ka test le thank you for this information #carakhada
बहुत ही बेहतरीन वीडियो ❤
In one line honda is honda
Hahaaa! As an engineer at continental autonomous mobility India, I’m proud that our products are working well in the Honda city and Merc EQS
We cant say the aeb should be smooth.. its call an aeb since its used in an emergency.. that doesn't mean it should be realy comfortable and luxurious 😅😅... The rest of the things like the feel of assurance and all matters...
You can adjust level of braking in xuv ..
Mad commitment
If anyone comes from right or left at distance 1feet or 2 feet just in front of headlights ,will adas apply break ,it happens with me.how it will work in bumper to bumper traffic.minimum distance before car stop
Bro ready to sacrifice his friend😂😂
Good to see the city win has same system as elevate proud to be an top speck elevate owner😊
All mg cars also have adas. Why weren't they included?
They should also work 😂
I doybt your criteria to decide which is best - it is 'emergency' breaking, which has to be usefulehen driver is not seei g/ sensing a collision - so if has to be sudden. And, in case of indian roads late - otherwise it will be stopping quite often, isn't it? I would like to set a level - currely level can be set only for warning - at least ib XUV 700, it is so.
