Please do me a big favour and like, share and subscribe. Thank You!
Dead zone is improved big time on xbox lots of players are happy it's even better if you change settings in options for aiming.
If you have Resolution Mode Enabled with Ray-Tracing, Hair Strands Enabled, Depth Of Field On, Lens Distortion On (Chromatic Abberation Off) then it looks perfect and doesn’t look worse at all. Game is amazing!!! I am on Chapter 15. Almost done with the game.
Honestly the speed in which you review, update and release videos after changes from the developers is brilliant. Keep it up.
Also it looks incredible now. But re-check your HDR settings as it defaulted mine to different values after updating.
Wb me!?
The shimmering was the first thing I noticed on the menu screen (the alternate menu when you finish the game). I hadn’t noticed it before
Yeah it's quite obnoxious aa the camera pans around.
On Xbox I noticed an increase of shimmering as well but the amazing thing to me is that now the resolution mode runs incredibly smoothly, especially with hair strands off (but ray tracing still on). Even without VRR on I'm having such a smooth experience in resolution mode. The shimmering isn't as noticeable at all in this mode and I'm getting an even nicer looking game while having an amazingly smooth time playing it! I'm impressed with this update. And yeah the dead zone issue is completely fixed, thank you Capcom
I get the feeling they swapped the old performance mode with the old resolution mode. So now resolution mode performs similar to the old performance mode. I could be completely wrong but I get that sense from my testing. Best spot to check is like chapter 5 during the rainy village return there is a ton of slowdown.
@@ThorStoneGaming I'm waiting for the Digital Foundry video on this patch. What I meant was that resolution mode is now smooth enough to actually use. I'm sure there is slowdown, I'm currently in the castle on my 3rd play through and I haven't noticed slowdown there. But the earlier rainy section when you first find Ashley caused slowdown on the old performance mode for example(I can tolerate the occasional slowdown when I know it's temporary and it's not affecting my gameplay badly, a bit like old NES games when you had slowdown here and there but it didn't really affect your gameplay badly usually but the old resolution mode was so choppy that it wasn't really usable for me except for like photo mode or something) . But this current resolution mode also has the shimmer that I never noticed on either mode on Xbox before. Resolution mode used to be pin sharp and looked amazing but too unstable, I never tried vrr with it though as I normally would. I really liked the old performance mode, it looked great, softer but still great and I was able to turn on hair strands and I decided to not use vrr and dolby vision instead since I was fine with the performance (my tv only allows either or). I don't know if the new resolution mode is the old frame rate mode, maybe? but it has the shimmer and is sharper than the old frame rate mode but performs similarly. But I just somehow can't stand the shimmer in performance mode now, it's not as disturbing in resolution mode, not as pronounced. So I'll deal with some slowdown here and there to have the nicer visuals. But at least the dead zone thing was fixed. I'm sure there will be more patches coming. The very nice thing is that Capcom is clearly listening. Maybe this is what they were able to do for now in order to fix performance and the dead zones. I'm no expert, I don't have a way to measure the resolutions. To my eyes the resolution mode looks sharper than the old frame rate mode did, but with some shimmer. If it is the old frame rate mode, then something was still tweaked. I especially notice the jaggies, the shimmering on Ashley's hair now without hair strands that to me wasn't there before in either mode. But overall it looks good, it's not bothering me that badly. I just miss being able to use the hair strands option but I've learnt to also like the look without. I dunno man, I'm no expert on this stuff. I'm waiting for the digital foundry guys to tell us what's happening and what's changed. Peace
@@ThorStoneGaming NX Gamer did a technical analysis on the patch just in case you’re interested. While we wait for the digital foundry video, I thought this was good

Idk about PS5 but on Xbox Series X. Running the game in fidelity mode is smooth as butter now. Absolutely no need for performance mode on XSX anymore. I Absolutely love this game man. Hope it runs smooth on the PS5 now for ya doods.
Performance was improved on every version.
@@samza9622 👍👏
Horizon Forbidden West had a similar issue with shimmering in it’s performance mode. It’s been fixed so hopefully they can fix here as well. It is especially in your fave on the main menu screen after you beat the game and the scene imagery changes. The grass is a blurry shimmering mess. The game still look fantastic. But the shimmering and aliasing on things like stairs would be nice to have cleaned up. Both are still large visual issues.
Capcom is no where near that good at graphics like gorilla games.
@@samza9622 it’s all subjective but I heavily disagree. Both make incredible looking games and there are many moments in RE4 Remake alone that outshine Horizon. Capcom has been putting out top tier games on a near yearly basis in multiple genres at that. Guerilla have put out 2 games in the last decade. I really liked Horizon, and I enjoyed Forbidden West. I did platinum both Horizon titles, but Forbidden West just never hooked me in the way some of Capcom’s titles have in recent year, and not just the Resident Evil titles. It didn’t have as much going for it and I felt it had a number of issues that hindered it. It also took Guerilla months to fix the shimmering, and that’s with the full brunt of Sony support studios behind it. Capcom and Guerilla make wildly different games though. Hard to compare the two really. Both the RE engine and the Decima engine are some of the best in the industry though and both are extremely talented. I may not have liked Forbidden West as much as Zero Dawn, but I respect that people do like that game and it has a lot of fans. I’m in a Horizon group on social media among others, and I will still be picking up Burning Shores next week. Already preordered it. Capcom for me personally just develops way more compelling titles, and the engine looks insane to boot. The RE engine is one of the best in the industry. But again, this is all subjective so we can just agree to disagree. Also, I’m not sure why you’re pitting these games against each other. I wasn’t shitting on Horizon in my initial post. The only thing I said was that it had similar shimmering issues, implying that if Guerilla can fix the issue it can likely be fixed in RE4 and seems to be an issue with how the PS5 handles certain rendering techniques.
Have you seen Ashley's hair, about medium distance, on PS5?? What a mess. 😵💫
@@mandrews6282 horizon is an open world game that is more demanding and even so it looks better this resident is very good but visually there are aspects that can be improved.
@@funcioguerra9998 yah, Horizon as a tentpole Sony franchise has significantly more money and staff behind it than a game like Resident Evil. Sony is considerably larger than Capcom. Both engines are great though. And Horizon did fix the shimmering issues it had. I think it’s a stunning game visually and I think the recent RE games are also stunning in their own right. Like I wouldn’t say Horizon looks better than Last of Us because it is open world. Even though they’re linear, the amount of detail and care put into Last of Us and RE4 is astounding. And I wouldn’t even say Horizon looks better than Ghost of Tsushima, because art style can carry a game long past technical prowess. Each game brings it’s own thing to the table and for what it is going for in that particular game, does it exceptionally well. We don’t always need to pit games against each other. And at the end of the day it’s all subjective anyway so there is never a decisive answer. Anyway, I wasn’t trying to crap on Horizon. More just an example that these types of visual issues can be fixed and have in the past. They are just complex. It took Guerilla and support studios months to fix Horizon with the full weight of Sony’s wallet and workforce behind it. Hoping Capcom can get it done as well and even work with Sony for a fix on PS5 if it is a similar issue. My complaints with FW are mostly story and character arc related. But the game itself is a wonder of the gaming world. It is a really beautiful game and I’m looking forward to seeing what they can push with the PS5 only Burning Shores expansion next week.
The game is fucking glorious after all these issues. Maybe they will fix the shimmering but at least its not blurry anymore.
Can confirm dead zone issue has been resolved on Series X. Also, performance seems smoother and it’s causing me almost no motion sickness anymore - an issue that pretty much prevented me playing it at launch
The dead zone still isn't the same as the PS5 version sadly. I find it weird how they don't have deadzone options in the settings.
@@user-b1b2b Maybe, but there are games with much better input than RE4 for the Xbox controller.
Does anyone know when they're finally gonna address the texture pop up issue?
I can't find information on this and Capcom are not responding to my ticket.
@@pretenderxxx2385 Yeah that is a problem. New patch for series s has made it worse.
Why can't a game just come out, finished and completely playable. Like the old days
Because games today are way more complex making it harder for devs.
@@redfirefox3568 Yeah but they clearly needed like 2 more months of polishing. Your excuse for them makes no sense.
@@ThorStoneGaming Of course there is no excuse. The devs are probably pressured by the publisher or whoever to release the game by a certain date. Then we become the beta testers.
Can confirm Series X version has terrible shimmering now and almost every edge has aliasing which kinda moves around even if your standing still
It's called "parity"🤢
@@SOTVT yeah they proper nerfed the series X version now with no need to disgusting from Capcom.
@@dk06ctr I already saw this coming after a few people started to whine over the framerate on SX vs the people complaining about the poor image quality on PS5. No surprise Capcom did what most third- party devs do these days when they "improve" things with patches on SX.
They fucken ruined it, can’t wait for digital foundry to call me out!
Series X looks WAY WORSE now. No sharpness at all, his hair looks worse, everything is blurry af. I hope they revert it, otherwise no Bueno seriously its hurting my eyes.
I'm one of those few guys who actually cares about good image quality, too. The game was more than playable to me before (with VRR /120hz,btw). Now, it looks shimmery, just like the PS5 version. "Parity" has hit the SX afterwards once again. At least they should offer a 30fps mode for those who want a clean image with zero aliasing. But I hardly doubt they will somehow "restore" the SX version of the game in the near future - if ever.
@@SOTVT true bro, true! It felt awesome before, so it does now, but it hurts my eyes unfortunately 😭😭. They should add either the 30fps you said, or a performance/sharp image mode which is the old one, extra to those which are available right now.
@@xPenitentOne Exactly
The loading of textures, on Xbox Series X, when closing the inventory is very annoying. Patch 1.04 didn't fix that problem. I see delays of up to 4 seconds in loading textures when closing inventory or map.
I seriously hate it. There is so much drag when turning the camera even with top notch tv/monitor/console. You can't fix it with anything, no settings can fix it. The game is so blurry while in motion regardless of settings...
I think overall it looks better than previous ver because the image seems more detailed and sharp and it doesn't seem like it's very low internal res anymore. I doubt the shimmering during movement can be fixed as long as they use fsr for upscaling. It's a common fsr thing.
Game uses checkeboard rendering.
TAA as opposed to checkerboard would fix that.
On Xbox series X also has an option that allows you to turn monitor blur off and it's Graphics lighting and shading is drastically improved and also the picture settings with the brightness and stuff is improved so much that when it comes to an SDR display you can make it as bright as illuminated as the original was everything was so easy to see and not so freaking dark
I’ve been playing this game and even played it after the latest patch, can say that im quiet satisfied as the cost is very less, can call this an improvement.
Hope you keep coming back more after patch! Because I won't buy the game until they fix it
This and the dead space remake had a similar blurry issue! Wonder why they both weren’t fixed before launch.
It just doesn't pay to play games at launch it seems. You always get a better product if we can wait like a month before playing it.
@@fall-neckthetallneck2977 exactly i never buy my day one games
Dein kanal ist der beste, weiter so!
Great video mate, do you have a problem on PS5, when you close the map, do you get the textures loaded? They load very fast, but it's still visible.
Hello! They really fixed xbox dead zones issue but the image quality on xbox takes a BIG hit. It much MUCH worse now. Everything is shimmering and alot of aliasing. Resolution mode now is worse than Perfomance mode before on series s. I hope they will bring it all back.
Btw they also fixed nearly invisible rain. Thats a great improvement alongside with responsive controls.
Yeah there is a lot of shimmering now on series s in resolution mode. I was hoping for a toggle that would let us turn off ray tracing which would probably improve the severe texture pop in and improve performance in that mode instead they downgraded their interlacing or AA method to get more performance. Love the profile name and picture by the way, amazing game👌
@alexrfn how's the texture streaming on Series X and S?
@@TheGivenSoul Dont know about series x but the streaming on the series s quality mode is horrendous probably because of the memory requirements of ray tracing and the fact that it's targeting 1440p in that mode. That's why I woukd like a toggle to disable ray tracing like on the premium consoles. Streaming on performance mode is fine though, not perfect but good enough.
I found out that after the patch, the lens distortion option greatly improves artifacts. Corrects oversharpening.
So we want lens distortion off or on?
@@fall-neckthetallneck2977 on, in this patch, ( but without the chromatic aberration)
@@IwenPulgar Thank you so very much. It's greatly appreciated. 🙂🙂🙂
Will give it a shot. Capcom are a mess right now.
Totally agree, much more shimmering… Hope they will find the perfect compromise soon. Thanks for your vidéo, excellent as always!
Great video and fast too!
You are fast with these videos, I appreciate it! Gute Arbeit 👍🏻
Have you turned off chromatic aberration and lens distortion?
I was dealing with flickering lights on the bottom screen a couple times. Glad to see!
It almost looks like they just turned off AA, rather than fixing the rendering issues. Sigh.
Same thing on Series X now as well, performance mode is full of shimmering like the PS5 version now.
ok so I wasn't paranoid. I actually switched to resolution mode on Xbox since I felt like performance mode looked noticeably worse than it did. And since resolution mode performs much smoother now, I chose to play it that way with hair strands off but ray tracing on. You can see the shimmering in resolution mode as well but it's nowhere near as distracting. And at least the dead zone issue is fixed.
@@lassesuurmunne8340 I did a little bit of testing and resolution mode with RT on and Hair strands off performs similar to the old performance mode.
So glad they fixed the flickering rainbow lights at the bottom of the screen, was super distracting
Jeez, capcom is incompetent. There is a reason why they will never achieve the AAA greatness of sony's first party studios. They basically used a weak sharpening effect to "improve" the ps5's graphics. The shimmers stick out even more than before. My main issue with the ps5 was not the blurriness but the shimmering, and this is even worse IMO. There are shimmering in places where they never existed in the previous version.
Love this channel keep up the good work!
The Xbox Series X has the shimmering now after the patch. The dead zone on the controller is fixed but why lower the quality of the graphics. I was playing the game yesterday and today. Game looked better before the patch.
No it doesn't. The picture quality is exactly the same. They've fixed the dead zone. So I'm happy.
Maybe you have not noticed it. I have. Lots of other people is having the same issues. Look at different gaming forums. Look at the grass, trees etc. It’s now having the same shimmering issue as the PS5 version now. Capcom done a downgrade. Sucks. Hope they fix it on the next patch.
can confirm it. looked better before the patch
It says on my tv it’s running 120 it’s dropping to 90 and up to 120
The "parity curse" has hit SX once again🫣
Do you still have lens distortion off? Try turning that back on. Maybe your supposed to have that on as it's makes areas of the screen your not focusing softer looking to improve performance. Spiderman does a similar thing. Soft edges and a focused middle of the screen. This being on may help with shimmering on this new patch.
Thanks for this
The brightness you can circumvent by reducing the hdr of the game
Thing is: shimmering still exists in resolution mode which was not the case in HFW. Bizarre.
HFW ran at full native 4K in 30 fps resolution mode. I think it’s an issue with the checkerboarding solution in RE4 or the lower res or upscaling method. Not sure if higher fps affects it, but Performance Mode on HFW was the only mode with 60 there. Hopefully they can clean it up.
Insane. To me, shimmering was the bigger issue. Insane to me that games are so obsessed with the 4K title and are willing to compromise with outdated reconstruction techniques vs native 1440p, which is sharper and resolves better. Horizon Forbidden West being the most notable perpetrator, who actively listened to the fans and nobody is saying anything poor about their native 1440p with TAA. Until we get DLSS on console, this should be the standard.
What do you mean until we get DLSS on consoles? DLSS uses hardware tensor cores so it can't be introduced on consoles. PS5 has AMD gpu's so it uses some version of FSR which is worse in terms of image quality.
Surprised they didn't just copy their settings for Village. 1800p Checkerboarding with SMAA Post Processing Pass to clean up edges. It worked there so surprised they didn't just go with 1620p or 1800p Checkerboard with SMAA Post Processing Pass.
@@siruspan consoles are not limited to this generation. It’s a conscious decision to continue to use AMD hardware due to its cost. Once the proposition for Nvidia deep learning is so immensely better that it becomes a selling point much like 4K is, it will be industry standard. The tech is still not mainstream.
@@siruspan FSR is not even close to DLSS quality; FSR functionary works different, but it’s a glorified resolution scaler. I would use DLSS even if the performance was worsened due to the immense resolve to aliasing that even TAA at 4k can’t achieve.
@@WllKiedSnake exactly! It wasn’t perfect either, but it was so much better.
On Series X they still didn't patch the textures slow loading problem. Sometime it takes about 5 seconds fore the textures to load. On the other hand the raytraced resolution Mode is much smoother now
This is probably the biggest problem of the game in general and I have no clue why this is not being discussed more.
It is constant and its everywhere.
It absolutely needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY.
Exact. When closing inventory or map, texture loading has delays of up to 4 seconds. Is very annoying. Break the experience
what do you recommend framerate or quality mode on c1 and ps5?
Finally ps5 blurry fixed❤ thanks to your video
Fr it looks sharper and clearer
So what should they do to fix it? Better anti-aliasing, I guess?
Well let's just say the game looks extremely realistic lighting shadows and all that stuff and little beams of light coming through cracks and holes is very realistic like when the Sun beams of its light comes through the clouds it creates that effect very realistically
I play on series x with RT on performance mode with VRR and its very smooth (with latest patch)
That's a console for ya... Rendering the games at a low resolution then upscaling them with "AI" and generating fake frames makes it look like garbage... It's an AMD chipset so PS5 probably uses AMD FSR which is like nvidia DLSS... Absolute garbage... You could spend $500 and get a better PC than a PS5, wayyy better in so many ways... Stop screwing yourself and get a PC
Controls on the Xbox version are much improved now. Game looks and runs great now. Ps5 has a lot of shimmering.
Deadzones are better/fixed on Xbox. But damn image quality took a huge hit. It looks like the ps5 version now. Can't imagine how bad ps5 must have been before
Aaaand the "parity-hammer" has hit X Box again😑
I'm on SeriesX and the Deadzone issue has been fixed for me now I can actually aim and snap on to enemies faster and more accurately than before in fact I got S++ rank in Mercenaries with Leon in all 3 maps and to my surprise I got the Handcanon as a reward that's how much better the aiming is now compared to before. And I also noticed the frame rate mode is more consistent with very few drops from areas where the frame rate would drop before but now I also noticed an increase in shimmering/aliasing in areas that I'm certain that weren't there before the patch. I'm guessing they did some downgrading to get an even smoother frame rate mode 🤔
Definitely must have lowered some graphics settings. I do prefer a smoother framerate over resolution though.
@@jchapmanUK I can definitely appreciate the more consistent 60fps but then all that shimmering and jaggies that I know weren't there before the patch kinda screws with me a bit.
@@suntok2yoface Yes I hope they fix
It looks way better damn! Crazy that you just extra notice this when they patch it! Deadzone is fixed imo
What tv sharpness do you recommend for gaming? Also have you tried super resolution, it is a more advanced sharpening feature on lg tvs.
I did this before this recent patch on my Sony TV with reality creation which is very good at sharpening and is probably similar to the ‘super resolution but now I don’t need it, the sharpness has improved a lot
Put sharpness all the way up then start turning it down until ghosting disappears that's how you set sharpness properly on any tv.
Nice hair my friend ❤!
What in gods name made you add in that music?
The shimmering 😢
Stunning game..u need to sit more far from your tv,sitting a foot away from your tv is not the best thing to do
so I have it on XboxSX and I can't complain, the improvements are very good on the controller and the picture quality is the same, the only tiny drawback is slightly longer loading times ....
I also have it on the Series X. The graphics now has the shimmering on trees, grass etc. it was not there before the patch. Yes the dead zone is fixed.
@@therider04 I can live with longer loading times, so the deadzone is gone, great stuff!
IQ is definitely not the same on Xbox. Overall IQ is way blurrier, there is shimmering now and the worst of all there is more noticeable pop-in than before (even in distant shadows). It is a pretty significant visual downgrade overall that was completely unnecessary.
@@Skorge666 I glad you noticed as well. Hopefully Capcom get more feedback to fix it with new patch.
@@Skorge666 agreed to everything, I switched to resolution mode, which has somewhat the sharpness of the 'old' Performance mode.. Man I want it back.. 😐

Danke👍🏻
I've noticed that RESOLUTION mode looks a lot better on PS5 but FRAMERATE mode doesn't look much better than before, if at all, to me. Foliage still looks really weird on PS5 version as well so I've just been playing the PS4 version on PS5 as it doesn't seem to have the same issues.
Resolution mode looks bad now on xbox. They turned resolution mode into performance-lite mode. I'm really pissed. It was perfectly balanced before.
Does the ps4 version run at higher frames on ps5 ?
@SuperMicklovin It runs at 60fps but a more solid 60fps and it looks sharper imo and the cost of some fog/shadow quality, etc.
@@CheesusSweet good to know might do a 2nd run on it
@SuperMicklovin Yeah give it a shot! It looked sharper and definitely ran smoother.
I think they should improve that Hair Mode for Leon, I found it strange on Ps5 what do you think?
That takes up a lot of system resources capcom is not the best at optimizing.
Glad I waited for this patch to play this on my Series X.
Wait, what? The series x version is alot worse now then before this patch! Worse image quality with the same shimmering and worse performance in certain areas. The only improvment is the dead zones. If you didn't play the game before this patch you have no ide what you are missing!
This guy's clueless
What are yalls PS5 setting now? Performance mode or quality? RT? chromatic? hair?
🙏
I’ve always played resolution with rt no chrom no hair the hair is worse I don’t mind the dips as it doesn’t bother my eyes really and I don’t have a vrr display either.
Xbox series x version got alot worse with the latest patch! Image quality have been reduced with alot of shimmering. And even though the patch notes states "improved performance" the opposit is actually the reality. For example, The village segment at night now runs even worse than before. The only improvement is the dead zones on the thumbsticks.
But the secret weapon on Xbox now is resolution mode, because it's butter smooth suddenly and so you get a better looking game than pre patch. no need for performance mode anymore now. Even without VRR resolution mode is smooth, especially with hair strands off but you can keep ray tracing on. Try it dude, I couldn't believe it. I never choose resolution mode but with RE4 I will never go back to performance mode. No shimmer with resolution mode.
The shimmering is still there in resolution mode on series x though! I didn't have any complaits about the performance mode before this patch. I played in performance mode with ray tracing and hairstrand enabled with VRR and it looked great and ran almost perfect before. Now the image quality is ruined regardless of the mode and with ray tracing and hair strand enabled it runs worse than before.
@@lassesuurmunne8340 I don't think that is true, I noticed slowdowns still with resolution mode + RT
The PS5 version looks bad in the comparison compared with the original, like the developers have just ramped up the sharpness setting to compensate for the blurry image quality. Basically, it is just trading one issue for another. Maybe Capcom need to add a Sharpness slider to the game so people can set it how they want; somewhere in between the original and new version would probably be better in my opinion.
Crap development, the gift that keeps on giving.
It's the same Horizon FW case. I'll wait until it's solved this time... I regret pre ordering it... even lost PS rewards points for not buying it this month
You regret preordering just because of these tiny problems???😅
@@SuperPatinator what tiny problems are you referring to? It's a bunch of issues reported by the community, that Capcom didn't had the ability of solving it in time. People who pre-ordered it on ps5 and likes image quality were disadvantaged

They ruined the series X version. It looks the same and it’s terrible. I swear sony showed up and made them do this. There’s no good reason for what they’ve done to the series X version
It is actually a lot worse than ps5 now and I am angry.
Texture streaming takes forever now, shadow resolution is so low it flickers,
depth of field clips all the time now and blurs even Leon's face edges in cut scenes,
ambient icclusion is low now and flickers, TAA lowered and shimmers fine details a lot,
LOD is reduced causing a lot of pop in shadows and objects geometry. Meshes has been thinned out a lot (example is the moss on trees looking like a ps2 era game now)
I contacted feedback at capcom with all of this info without a response.
I even mentioned that the demo presented a pristine picture and was the deciding factor for many to buy the SX version and now I hear the demo is patched to look just as awful..... probably to hide the fact it ever looked better. Trash company!
@@IsidorTheNordicGuy yes sir I actually complained to Microsoft and found they patched the demo right after. I included in my complaint the fact that the demo looks better than the actual game now.

You have the best of both worlds in your home imo, with the QN95B, and the CX/G2. You get the glory of high APL and high peak brightness/HDR impact….and the absolutely polished dark room HDR performance/experience of a self emissive OLED.
But I do feel you on the “Samsung” comment 😜 After spending a decent amount of time with the S95B, and being very impressed with QD-OLED tech…I just decided to keep my C2, rather than return it, and keep the S95B (like I planned) as the C2 just gave me what I was personally looking for in a TV, despite not being the technically superior technology on paper. There was just way too many little quirks and things that I personally didn’t like with the S95B, which mainly concern gaming. I also like calibrating and tinkering, so it’s hard to beat LG on that front. It really does seems like Samsung has listened to some of the feedback some of the more “purist types”, like ourselves, have been giving them for years. Like tone mapping options, trying to support a true HGiG mode, etc. However, then LG catches right up in the luminance game/HDR impact with the G3, and makes the QDO less appealing than it had looked prior. Especially with the QDO longevity concerns, which I’ve been raising since day one.
Truly there’s no harm in waiting to see how the technology truly pans out. Both MLA, and QDO. It’s never a bad thing to let technology mature a bit, especially first Gen technology. Being a auto tech has more than taught me that over the years. Then again, when you run a YT channel/community, I understand the appeal of trying to be the first on the block to put out a video on a product.
So in the end, I just hope you get everything figured out, and can get the TV you truly want, that benefits your happiness, and the channel as a whole. Bc I’ve always been here rooting for ya buddy! You were a beacon of light for me with the CX, and I’ll always have this weird connection with ya lol. Bc we both jumped into OLED with the CX, and even started learning to calibrate around the same time. 👊
Really hope they fix it like horizon forbidden west was fixed. That was amazing
On the PS5, you were testing in FPS mode or fidelity mode?
Ah sad. Had hope that it will simply be „better“ without any new flaws.
Then let’s wait for the next patches. Hopefully they are able to fix is completely.
@ misterreen i hope papi capcom sends us patches. no update bs straight up patches to fix the popout texture issue.s when loading and opening and closing leons map and attache case. its minor and noticable. it shouldn,t happen. hope capcom do right thing. or they could be like we ain,t gonna bother. hope ain,t so papi. we get them patches for all versions.
If you have to zoom in that much to notice it then it's probably not even worth mentioning

Nice work
Usually the shimmer fix , will involve softening the image . For me a sharp image is always preferred to softness. However I would like game to have two sets of image outputs ( sharpe , and soft )
This should not be an issue as games now have multiple performance modes , why not image outputs modes
Is the shimmering really noticable? I want to get this game and was waiting for them to fix the lower res image on ps5 but learning that the shimmering got worse is a little discouraging if it's very noticable. Should I just wait a few more weeks before playing?
Wait for a couple of more patches, the shimmering is really noticeble now. The series x version was almost perfect looking before this patch and now there is also shimmering all over the place just like ps5.
Wait it out. Trust me, don't play this post-patch garbage and don't listen to the clueless snail brained imbeciles saying the patch was an "improvement" and that they don't notice any IQ differences.
The game seems to stutter like hell on PS5 now, too. Hopefully they continue to make improvements.
No the framerate quality and the resolution quality is greatly improved
Yeah I was excited when my PS5 suddently started a download and then..... there is nothing fixed at all except sharpness. Lmao this is so ridiculous.
I wrote to capcam about Image quality and mentioned Anti-Aliasing extra and they answered me to delete the game and reinstall with clearing cache and safe mode. I send them now my reddit post and your video where you showed the Series X and PS5. This shimmering is so annoying to me that I did not play any further than chapter 3.
Does deleting the game and re-downloading clearing cache change anything in the game?
@@gowragnarok8544 nope
and did you turn off the tru motion on your lg cx? thats what makes too sharp picture shimmering
He's using game mode where tru motion is disabled.
Hey bro, what’s your opinion on the s95c vs g3? I am moving into my own place and plan on getting one soon for gaming.
Which do you think is better for hdr gaming ?
The game itself has image sharpen on by default that you can't disable even in PC version but thank god to DLSS mod, shimmering and aliasing is a none issue
This may be cos you haven’t turned of chromatic aberration and lens distortion in the games menu as those to affects make a massive positive difference to image quality
Shimmering and aliasing is still an issue even when turned off.
@@mandrews6282 yeah not the best image quality on any platform it seems but far better with those to options turned off. I found the series x pretty good was waiting for ps5 to match it hopefully it has specially considering it’s outputting at a higher internal res
I’m not buying this game until it’s perfect.
Capcom makes the best games but there's always a catch 🤣
Do i set up the in game hdr max brightness with tone mapping on or off? Im on a sony oled there is no hgig. With it off its almost all the way down but gradation preferred its like 6 above middle so huge difference
Tone mapping off or HGiG if you play using HGiG but if you play with Tone mapping then turn it off for in game calibration for all games then turn it back on after
Xbox all the way with this one. They managed to make the ps5 version look even worse than before? Jeez.
I think the game looks overly-sharpened on all platforms tbh. It was like that on day one on PC and it’s now more obvious since they fixed the rendering issues.
I play on a QLED55, before and after the update, I didn't notice a difference....
Oh when it comes to Xbox series X Resident Evil 4 it runs smoothly controller wise like a hot knife through butter I know this because I own the AIM
This TV colors are gorgeous
Don't even want to know how Ashley's hair looks now on PS5. Doing another playthrough on the PS4 version atm and it's clear that they botched the PS5 optimization, since the last gen version shows more cohesive image quality and resolution. So disappointing.
PS. The music was very fitting for how bad the increased shimmering is now😊; in the future, try more objective music, preferably chill instrumentals and mixed in the background. 😉
Thank you for your contribution on these issues and keep up the good work.
I wish they could ditch the PS4 version and concentrate on the best possible PS5/Series X optimisation. The PS5 shimmering garbage is because of PS4x.
@@vincevirtua Stop blaming ps4 for everything. Hold developers accountable for their mess and stop making silly excuses for them. Re4 have issues on all platforms.
@@josefelfinito6925 but it’s true they should ditch ps4 it’s ancient hardware yunno
Different team made this game wasn't the village team which did a better job.
Can confirm you full of shit this game looks nuts on ps4 pro.
Why is the Xbox series x running the game at 120fps on my ps5 it says 60 and series x 120
@UnrealStutterEngine I know that but usually when it’s 60 locked or lower it just says 118 etc but it’s dropping in the 80s and going back up and it feels like 120
@UnrealStutterEngine Maybe I’m wrong but hopefully we get a test soon
Did you turn off chromatic abbreviation. That's destroy shimmer and make it look worse
u don't like Hair Strand?
I'm very angry with capcom, RE4 Remake looks awful on my xsx after the patch.
Absolutely. Theres aliasing and grainy hair. Plus those unbearable texture pop ins have not been fixed yet. I do not even want to play thls game anymore.
@@pretenderxxx2385 Same exact sentiment. The pop-ins are disgusting. Zero console optimization. "Current-gen" gaming my rear end.
Wrote it under the last Video already but the shimmering was gone for me with disableing chromatic abberation
Does this game run / look better on series x or ps5 ?
They look and run nearly identical after the patch. SX had an advantage in image quality before.
@@SOTVT do you have a series x ?
I think where u sit while playing is a massive factor because it never bothered me either previous or latest patch I genuinely think the game is absolutely stunning (Playing on PS5)
Exactly! People here will take this guys opinion and turn it into a fact
I agree, I haven't noticed at all. I'm also playing in resolution mode on a 65" LG CX. Game looks gorgous!!
Yay!! Thank u! Is this patch download able now?
