Driver of suspected stolen pickup arrested in Alhambra after wild pursuit

- The Alhambra Police Department pursued an allegedly stolen truck through L.A. surface streets Tuesday morning.

The girl in the grey sweats was the person to deliver him a bag to the gas station sign. at 24:54 - 25:05, he passes the gas station, you see her running with the bag.. almost exactly where he was arrested
Good Eye.. She was going towards the gas station as he was driving away from it.

Gotta wonder what was in that bag and why he was going back to the gas station again and again. Maybe he thought there was something in the bag (gun?), told the woman to drop it over there and then she did, but there wasn't a gun (or whatever) in there. Either because it just wasn't in there or she removed it thinking he "might do something dumb".
@@rolandm9750he was probably going back over and over to find what he dropped. When he got out to get the bag he dropped a few things. One landed right by the truck one was heavy and slid up against the curb and stopped. He got the bag and back in the truck and just as he closed the door it looked like something else fell by the running board. So whatever he dropped he probably wanted or needed.
Those idiots recording with their phones are a waste of oxygen.
I agree they're a danger to themselves and the police. They're way too close to the situation. People think just because they have a camera that it's okay to jump in the middle. It's a disgraceful new habit.
It’s just my guess, and only my opinion, that they may be doing that, and making it overly obvious in an attempt to prevent the police from being overly aggressive in apprehending someone who has now given up. There is something to be said about the police knowing that they’re being filmed And their adrenaline dropping down quite a bit.

The Alhambra police had let this guy go for a long time. He could have killed someone while the police were "backing off." The chase went on for far too long and they should have taken him down a lot earlier. This is ridiculous. Thanks for the LA media for following the criminal for the entire time.

I love when the new anchors throw a question to the 'Sky Reporter' that would require him to be able to read the suspects mind. And I believe the driver in the SUV/Van that was blocking him in that parking lot was an undercover, not a civilian especially since they backed out and started following.
This guy is a genius. He stole a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport, a truck very rare to start with and even rarer now that nearly all of them have been junked. This is probably the only white Ford Explorer Sport in all of SoCal. There is no hiding in that truck.

That’s dedication of an UberEats delivery driver. He dropped the food on the road by mistake and then he went around and around to search for it. When he found the food he forgot where to deliver it so he stopped multiple times to call the customer. Probably the customer gave him the wrong address so he is just wondering where is the customer. Wow.

Watching this driver put so many people in harms way is unreal. I wonder how the camera toating friends who were intent on keeping an keeping an eye on the police gave any thought to how their friend put many peoples lives at risk. This driver was wreckless and yet these camera people act as if the officer are the one who created this mad mess. These people with camers are laughable. The public needed protection from their wreckless friend.

The LAPD really wanted to give this one away. But the suspect wanted to give it back to the LAPD even more. The LAPD are lucky they always look like bungling morons in these police chases. Almost half incompetence half just don't care.
Arizona PD (Phoenix ?) have grappler hook type devises for quickly shutting down stolen car chases from becoming this type of long term chases.
This type of video voyeurism must have some advertising incentives (?) to keep doing nightly car chases for the viewing pleasure of the locals as well as the rest of us seeing this at a later date.

The one that blocked him in when he went over the curb was an unmarked unit and not the same as the person holding the phone. When all the marked units took off again the unmarked took off with them.
I'd be very careful recording with your phone, from a distance I thought one of guys was holding the suspect at gunpoint.
