  • Hebrews 6:4-6
[4]For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
[5]And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
[6]If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

I fell away 24 years ago because I did not resist the temptation and stayed in it. The Holy Spirit left me. I quickly began to bear evil fruit. I have been trying to return to faith for the last 4 years. I have regular conversations with the pastor, I read the Bible, I go to church regularly, but still I can't go back, my heart is hard and there is almost nothing left of me as a person. But I want to go back so I don't have to go to eternal destruction. This life has also remained completely empty, without blessing.

I fell away decades ago and came back to the Lord Jesus months ago only to discover these passages. I was very deceived by false doctrines my heart is broken and my spirit is contrite but according to this video it doesn’t even matter

@@dawnalaia9984 i feel away but had a vision of my puting the lord Jesus Christ on the cross and now feel like i'm out of my body reminding me of john talking about staying in the vigne. I feel filthy and out of the holy spirit. Not changing was like blaspheming his holy spirit and don't know what to do.

9But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.
    (Hebrew:6.9)
The writer of Hebrew inspired by the Holy spirit wrote right after that.. (But),( beloved), we are (confident) of better things concerning you, yes, things that (accompany) (salvation)
He is confident things that accompany salvation.
Hebrew:6.4-6 doesn't say those who had received salvation.

Regarding once saved always saved, my main concern is, during the end time, when the mark of the beast is in place, is it possible that perhaps one innocent new Christian may think it's okay to get the mark of the beast because the online narratives told them, once saved always saved? Do you think God would want us to make it clear that if you are now saved and you get the mark of the beast, you will go to hell? Revelation 13:15-18

Wow, Spurgeon cites erroneous teachings of unsaved men and poems more than he does the bible. That's just weird.

God bless, could you explain to me what verses of the bible were explained wrong and why?

      thank you for the comment
      Psalms 50:1-6
[1](A Psalm of Asaph.) The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
[2]Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
[3]Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
[4]He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
[5]Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
[6]And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

He puts the writings of psuedo-theologians and doctrines of demons to higher esteem than the scriptures. And Reformed, Presbyterians, Calvinists, and many baptists so the same today--idolizing men and choosing to believe them over God. Demonic deception is at work in these beliefs not the Holy Spirit. It's why they are deceptive and manipulative in how they try to convert others to their false doctrines--it cannot be of the Holy Spirit. This is idolatry, ultimately works based salvation mislabeled as grace, different gospel, different God, different Jesus, different spirit. It's not even Christianity--it is on par with Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormonism except it's proponents are more prideful and deceptive--not honest about their beliefs and intentions like JW or Mormons are.
