It’s really simple. Dating is broken since the internet went mainstream, and guys are realizing that women who grew up in the pre-internet or early internet eras just treat men better.
For example, mature women don’t go for the bad boy, so good guys don’t get brushed off. Mature women actually care about building a relationship rather than about following stupid dating trends. We don’t care much for superficial values like money and looks, we want our men to be caring, kind and willing to work on relationships.
Both young women and young men experience either a lot of rejection or a lot of relationship trauma nowadays because the internet feeds them impossible and toxic dating and relationship standards. So both are attracted to older partners because they just want to be treated well. It’s not so much about age as it is about generational gaps.

It’s obvious when she says it “makes her feel confident” that it means she is all giddy when younger men find her “attractive” despite her age. It’s pathetic narcissism.

I would avoid younger guys in their 20’s but 30+ you’re an adult and a bit more experienced, secure job generally their at a different stage in life . It seems for most men the trade up is young female genes who are immature and short term worthy as young women cheat a lot more and play games versus older, career, financial stable, long term capabilities , are worth the risk. Mating strategies are changing. Some still stay traditional biologically but men like peace and a stable mature partner at the end of the day
As long as the men can also bring peace and stability to the older woman, I'm all for it. Usually this is not the case. Young men are still learning. And btw, once they hit their mid-life crisis at 40-45 they're going to be going after the younger than you women, and you'll be dumped. I am 38 and husband is 32. We hid this age difference to husband's parents else the marriage would not have happened. My parents were somewhat okay with it but they confirmed and reconfirmed with my husband several times before the ceremony and he said it was okay. Post marriage he feels he has cheated his parents by hiding my age, he could have married a different girl, and he feels ashamed of my age. We live like apartment mates until I find a job and have a chance to move out.

Yep. I am being pursued by someone about 7 years younger and another guy 16 years younger. I don't like the one that is 7 years younger for more than a friend. But, if the other one was more my age and we were from the same country, I would be interested. Lol!
