I hope you'll like them! I was hesitant about them, but the Macchiato sound tests made it obvious to me that I should try some. :') Thank you so much! ^^
That opening b-roll with the clouds is a nice touch! I think the clouds are a bit scratchy. It's twin, the swift, is very nice though. The macchiatos will hard carry any board you throw at them. However, I heard that theyre restocking the xinhais in february. You should try and grab some! :o
Thank you so much for noticing the clouds! ^-^ I made a photoshoot recently, and wanted to include it in here too. Though haven't had any excessive typing with the Macchiatos, I have a strong feeling that they'll be my favorite HMX switches. I'll order some Xinhais definitely, thanks for the heads up!
Oh, I definitely see why! I still have a long way to go before I can choose a favorite, but HMX won my heart easily. I have high hopes for the Macchiatos too! :-)
@@bren.r For longer typing periods it's definitely more comfortable, although for occasional (1 day of use for example) it's so fun to use a heavy switch! ^^
Thank you so much for your comment and for joining! ^-^ I think that the Clouds and Macchiatos are my favorite so far - but I have some more to test! (Lotus is pretty good too!)
I'm really curious to know how these switches would sound in the Cidoo abm066. Would it be possible for you to maybe make video or just a short showcasing this build?
So far, I only have the HMX Cheese and Macchiato and love both of em. I have the Jammy coming in a few days and can't wait to try those BUT I really wanna try the Xinhais when they restock. HMX is definitely top tier.
Oh, that's reassuring to hear - I expect the Macchiatos to be my favorite HMX switches. I'm also on the lookout for the Xinhais, also the new Lotuses - being these two in stock at the same time would be a treat! ^^
Love seeing this. Honestly, I agree also Thocc, I was getting a tad complacent with switches cause of how similar they all are, but any new company on that scene that makes a difference is worth while to me. 10/10 review as always.
Yeah, to be honest it was getting kinda frustrating. :') I'm still hesitant about purchasing a couple of switches, for the same reason, as I hear almost no difference with them (or that's maybe because I have my limitations lol). But I'm really happy to see improving production technologies, so I hope they'll keep this up and this will be the new quality standard soon (as the sub-$70 alu keebs became a standard too).
I think for Manufacturers and Companies involved in producing and making switches we will need to see more companies willing to do specialized blends of materials. If we wanna see more unique and interesting switches. It is super nice to see more companies like BSUN and MHX take their switches more seriously tho and I cannot wait to see if more companies follow suit.
I was wondering about the same thing! But how many real new blends can be made? The countless recent nylon variants start sounding a bit like 'forced' inventions. Hopefully the molding quality and tolerance improvements will get as much attention too - or maybe a completely new material will emerge? Who knows, but it's interesting for sure! ^-^
@@thoccnology thanks, i got hi75 by your latency video. If rainy is good in terms of perf&latency. I will move to that board. I wanna find some end game board to wait for 75% rapid trigger board get cheap&good sound(analog switch problem). @@ponniereview I'm also excited to see the rainy75's latency! Not late at all! :) So far the Macchiato and Lotus is on my top list, but the Cloud has a special place in my heart too - also I still have to try the Canglan for an extended period, as it has potential. Do you have personal favorites?
I havent tried but I ordered a batch of Clouds and planning to try out the HMX Garnet as well! I chose the cloud because I’ve never tried a switch with an LY stem / long pole switches Have a good day thocc!
I haven't tried any of the HMX switches but will now, great video as always!

Out of these HMX switch, which you feel is the deepest and creamist switch? (XINHAI MACCHIATO JAMMY CANGLAN CLOUD SWIFT)??
I'd say the Canglan, or the Macchiato, but the Cloud is also there.
@@thoccnology with foams the clouds has potential to be deep and marbly too?
@@MightyRaph I think with a layer of ixpe/switch foam they can become that! Among HMX switches they are quite deep though.

Did you opt for the 50g or 63.5g spring weight?
Mine is the 50g version ^^

Getting the macchiatos too
Hello, I absolutely love your videos! Can you do HMX clouds vs HMX xinhai sound test if possible?
I'll try - but feel free to compare the existing videos: my sound tests are standardized (using the same keyboard, same keycaps, same mic, same desk)

They sound great and are also budget friendly
Exactly my thoughts! Based on my BSUN experiences, I expected these to cost an extra $0.10 or so, but it's a very pleasant surprise!
will u do rainy75 (latency) review?
