Is it good to do both sides when you have 1 of these to go bad on you. Or just the 1 that's bad.

My guy. You missed some things. You need eye protection if you're striking or prying on things. I can't believe you didn't take that piece of the wiring loom clip you snapped off right in the cornea. Never bang a hammer on anything with exposed threads on it. Thread a nut onto the end and then hit that. You also need thread locker and a torque wrench to properly install critical fasteners - you know, like those three bolts that hold the entire hub and wheel assembly onto the truck. Putting them back in dirty and dry and then just guessing how much torque you're putting on that breaker bar is not "good enough."

Weird , in 3years owning caddy a wheel or anything like it never fell out while driving!!! I guess it is just a luck. Enough of a sarcasm, if a guy tight nuts/bolts with a long handles, this is a planty of torque so nothing would come out.

@@DKUSTOMSGARAGE Right, there's not enough torque, which is a problem; and then there's too much torque, which is also a problem. That's why there isn't just one torque spec of 200ft-lbs for every fastener on the car. Glad it worked out for you. My comment was really just trying to help you from putting an eye out in the future and for other viewers who might not know about things like LocTite and torque wrenches. I also learned the lesson about not banging on the ends of stuck bolts the hard way when the threads got so mangled a nut won't go back on. Nice video overall though, and it did help me see that it shouldn't be a problem for me to do mine in my garage without a lift, which is what I came here to find out.

Caddy still on the road. So I guess I did about correct pounds of a pressure.
