Question of the week: Mohair or suri?
Here are the yarns I discussed and their colorways:
Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk shown in Rust and Powder Pink
Mayflower Elba (not shown in person)
CaMaRose Midnatssol shown in Gragron and Lys Beige
Lana Grossa Seta Suri shown in Geranium Pink (47)
KAOS Yarn Organic Brushed Alpaca shown in Nostalgic
FyberSpates Cumulus shown in Fig
Isager Alpaca One (not shown in person) or Yarnalia Joy shown in Rose Gold
Concepts by Katia Atenea shown in 95
The Fibre Co Cirro (not shown in person)
Laines du Nord CashSilk Light (not shown in person)
Hand dyed suri- shown from Poppy & Spruce Fibers in Fuzzy Blanket, Explorer Knits & Fibers in Joshua Tree National Park and Docile, and Zakami Yarns in the Akashic Records
I love Drops Brushed Alpaca, I made my Mist Sleeves out of it. Drops Kid Silk is terribly itchy for me, I haven't used any other mohair yarns because of budget reasons.
I agree- the drops kid silk is so itchy! And I’m too scared to try nicer mohairs because they’re so expensive

I have been waiting for this video since a few months ago when you showed us a look at your video plans lol
I hope it was worth the wait!!
Great suggestions! The climate in Australia does make mohair a bit tricky to wear. For these type of yarn comparison videos, I would find it helpful if you also mentioned the yardage of each of the yarns.
That’s a good point too! Can you wear Suri easier? And good note, will do in the future! These are all about 25g and around the same yardage of 200 yds- but some will have more or less of course
