- Anupam Kher is more than just a talented actor and not only has two national awards to his name, but has been accorded Padma Shri in 2004 and Padma Bhushan in 2016 for his contribution to the field of arts. Kher has acted in more than 500 movies, which include appearances in Indian as well as international movies, including the likes of Bend It Like Beckham. He has also donned the hat of an administrator and has served as Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification, Film and Television Institute of India as well as of his alma mater, National School of Drama. In a candid conversation with Smita Prakash, Anupam Kher talks about his struggles and entry into Bollywood. He recalls how Saaransh's success in 1984 helped him to get a foothold in the film industry and established him as an actor. He also takes us on a journey of his filmography and shares his experiences working with different co-stars. The Khosla Ka Ghosla actor also spoke about his family, politics, fitness regime, critics and much more.

Mr Kher has ZERO interest in talking about education reform ,healthcare reform ,Insulin access .A 9 yr old girl died cos her parents had to ration insulin.Insulin prices are extremely high .Not a single press conference on it . LPG - 1155 rs .Middle ,working class parents are EXTREMELY STRESSED about education costs .My neighbppr's kid is in the 2nd grade and her annual school fees is 50,000 rs/ yr FOR A SECOND GRADE STUDENT. Zero press conferences on what the middle,working class parents r facing .Healthcare access is EVEN worse .

@suri, do you know the inflation rate in other countries after covid? You guys are lucky to have a stable economy. Sending kids to private school and paying 50,000 fees is your neighbor’s choice. We all studied for free in government schools. Doing really well in life. Earning well and paying 30% tax. Just don’t find a reason to yell at the government or someone else. When was life easy in india for middle and upper middle class? You are screwed in india if you are not minority or sc/st. We all worked hard to get good life. Don’t cry. Kabil bano Suri. Learn something from your neighbors. Send your kids to government school.

I avoided watching this video since it was released thinking that I know all about my idol Anupam ji, but watching this right now and I am sobbing. I don't know he teaches me many things, I will nail it one day and work with him. This is my heart's voice.

Shri Anupam Kher is a complete actor.
Yes Kher (32) playing father to Hema Malini (40) and grand-father to Rishi (36) & Anil (32) in Vijay (1988) was one the greatest mis-castings of those times! Yash should have just made him 'Hema's brother' if he did not want to impact the storyline and/or the star cast.
This is one very decent Human and the fact that he is Indian is the " Samosa with Chai " or " Icing on the 🎂 "
