This guy Naseruddin shah has never suppressed what needs to be spoken to the world.
Somewhere I feel that he expected the film industry to evolve and give importance and priority to good cinema at some point of time, but that unfortunately never happened till date... Don't know about the future.
That frustration shows in his persona somewhere. He knew from the very beginning that the kind of films he wants to do, that really satisfies him as an actor, bollywood just has nothing to offer for that. Great actor, indeed! He and the late Om Puri sir, of course. These are a totally different breed of actors!
Hate him or love him but you can't ignore him...for me he is a finest actor & very vocal personality.

A Legendary actor with a non-hypocritic sense. He never hesitates to share his political opinion either it is right or wrong. He always paved the pathway to the generations how to act and not to be a one sided biased persona. Salute this attitude to every steps forward to the nations.....Naseer Uddin Sir the great!
He is a non-hypocrite? whatever roles he portrays is freedom of expression and stories like kerala story becomes a propaganda movie for him. He is an excellent actor but as a person, he is as big hypocrite as any.
Never spoke about brutal murders doing their community people, as leader or reputed and opinionated person he should address their youth to behave in such way their whole community would not face hatred. Anytime he speaking about hate against muslims and all, ever tried to find reason why people hate muslims? What are the characteristic?

IT IS allowed. It's straightforward though. These guys are intelectaul on their field and not afraid to put their views across. Their views are not against any party or people. An icon of acting. It was his down to earth persona that impressed me the most while he came for shooting at Kudremukh and we used to play tennis in the morning and used to talk about our home town Lucknow and Mangos from Malihabad. Good old days...

Hi Saurabh, Just happened to watch your interview with Nasseruddin Shah. What a pleasure it is hearing the man and his views, albeit some of them may rightfully be called controversial. But getting it out in the open is brave indeed and he deserves a bravery award for speaking out his mind, if there is anything like that! Dilip sahab told him to go away because at some point of time after getting experience and true revelation about one’s profession one get to know harsh realities and true checks and then he tries to protect others …it’s like if I am an engineer then I would never want to see my child as engineer because may be I have faced bad things about this profession and observed good things about other professions so it might be possible that I would suggest my son to not select engineering rather select accounts or medical instead of engineering …it’s like that…
