- The roof and back window are welded up inside and out but now we need to tackle making the door tops fit. There's a lot going on here so it's gonna be tricky making them fit... here comes the metal manipulation 😏

In my opinion, this is Chad at his best, working alone, just Jolene filming, with a grinder, a sander and a welder. He creates his best work on his own and explains everything as he goes along. The way he shapes the metal is a work of art. Whether you like his design or not, his skills and artistry are amazing ,and so much fun to watch and learn from. Wishing You and Jolene a happy, healthy, and prosperous ,New Year.
Absooolutely!!! It's nice to watch.
Yes !
Amazed how smooth you made everything fit so far. Gobsmacked really. This is going to be something very very nice once you get all the pieces on. Can't wait.
Never a day off. You guys blow my mind. Love your content and your pursuit of the craft. Keep up the great work. Let the haters, hate. Because the rest of us love and appreciate you.
Great work Chad, how you can quickly see how anything needs to be manipulated to work right is an amazing skill.
I am a critic of You Tubers that talk too much and say nothing. You do not fall in that group. Everything is your thought process and courtesy to the viewers. Your show is the tops as far as I am concerned!
😅You're not alone to think like that yes👍😉👌👋
The talking is good. Everyone does things differently and he explains how he is doing it. Teaching us things along the way.
I don’t mind the banter, but a lot of channels have hosts that do nothing but talking about working and don’t show how they did it. Chad puts in the work and shows us how to get out of the weeds.
Will we ever see a finished product from Bad Chad?
Again, he has a whole building of finished cars.
I am so amazed and impressed how well and quick you got the door post back together and looking good. I know its not in the best shape as of right now but I know it will turn out nice as hell in the end. It takes alot of figuring and manipulating to get things fitting right. And I know you can't just go measuring things up and cut things and expect it to fit first time. I would have done the same thing in kept cutting the post down until I got it instead of measuring it and hoping that I got it right. Cause man one bad cut can ruin your day. Its a totally different ballgame when you go cutting into cars and customizing them. But brother you make it look easy and awesome. We'll done!!!
This side took one hour. He did the other side already.
Having done a few it all much easier to widen the top to align all the posts and get posts to line up and windows roll up and down easily.
It seems like a lot of the cars in his collection do not have glass in the doors. I wonder if this will be the same.
So it’s easier to try to widen the top of roof then try to fit the doors on angles?
Go buy a similar shaped model and try it.. It's a great way to see how your dream will work out. Most of us don't have the tools, shop and budget of these guys.@@dougpeak7591
Amazing how well the pieces fit together. Only need to add metal to extend area behind window.
Fina is such a good dog😎
I have to say this is my favorite chop you have done so far and ive been watching you for over 4 years now i know once you get the tops of the doors and the gaps straight it will be a really good looking chop. Back in the 80s when i was restoring cars and building street rods i did a 35 ford 2 door sedan and i filled the center of the roof with a van rib roof that was sò much fitting to get it straight and all the welding and grinding and body work i worked on the car over 200 hours before i did any paint work i frenched the tail lights and put a gas cap door on the rear we lowered rhe car and the guy i did the car with showed that car for 11 years with the same paint job and he got s bunch of plaques and trophies from local car show and car meets all over the southern states i also did 2 40 ford coupes a 39 Plymouth coupe and a 33 ford coupe for the same guy that one 35 ford sedan got me so much work i had to turn jobs down . I went back to just painting in a body shop i got tired of the project cars.
I would still like to know what is happening about the Bug. Thats why I started watching?????
We call that sneeking up on a cut in Pittsburgh Pa. Good job!
I think that when you changed the angel of the A pillar, that created the problem. Again, I think that problem could have been eliminated if the roof of the car had been widened. But that is only a guess ! Great job!
Beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder
Even as i disagree on a few points. You are an artist. Joleen makes you look really good. Good choice . Both of you.
What about the windows with that inward tilt - none of these latest creations ever get windows ?
I believe the door top isn’t fitting properly because the top of the B pillar is leaning to the right
it is crazy how easy he makes this kind of work look. his past experience really shows. You watch him and its hard to follow sometimes because your not in his mind. then all of the sudden it just comes together and looks perfect and you like "WOW" what just happened ? something is awesome again ! :)
Absolutely amazing watching you manipulate all the aspects of your working out troubles that I really doubt most people could do
This project is going along great!!
Every video gets better ..you can see chad growing and learning . He's getting more chill and relaxed. He's and inspiration to many of us from the valley .and teaches us fellow your own path and don't listen to others who have nothing good to say
Glad to see the door tops worked out great. Now can't wait to see the back come together. Glad the reel will come in handy.
I guess I'm missing something, why not make a measurement with the ruler and make only one or two cuts
It's not that simple. One bad measurement and cut it's gonna ruin your day. Better to keep cutting it down until you get it .
He can’t hold the tape measure straight and on of his problems
@@Aaronlewis8846😂
I'd rather make a million cuts and have it fitting good then to try and take a measurement and potentially fuck it up. When it comes to stuff like that. One bad cut or measurement then you're fucked!!!
This is not carpentry. It's not like working with straight pieces of material and simple angles. Plus, if you make a mistake you can't just grab another piece of material and try again.
LOVE THE DOOR WORK THANKS JO for all the good camera work
The car already looks super. White roof, with sky blue bottom, might be a great color choice. Thank you HILTH crew. Happy new year
str8 door , bent window, how does window mechanism work??
Fina is a sweet dog love her
As always nailing it step by step .thanks guys
really like the way you rearranged the tools in the shop
the chop is awesome on this one !!
I love watching the metal artist work. Sculpture at it’s best.
Good Job!
It's amazing what you have managed to get done in 3 days such a huge chop but you just have the knowledge and foresight to do the work! I have loved this build.
I say bad chad you did 100 % awesome job
Custom work like puzzle to make fit perfect 👌
That is a great looking chop.
Good job, Chad and Jolene. I like how you just concentrate on on step at a time to put the puzzle back together.
How about black and gold 2 tone paint?
🇨🇦👍
The Shop Looks Great!
Run a straight edge up the door jamb to measure from
Good evening everyone and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas
Good folks send Chad equipment to help make his process quicker or easier. Yet he doesn't use a lot of them, such as the 3 way plugs. He keeps unplugging and replugging and finding out the grinder was unplugged. He doesn't like to waste time but, that is wasting time or progress.
Really enjoyed this video Chad! 👍 Great work…wishing I could do it. Too late for me now…brain wants to but body says no. I guess that’s why I enjoy watching you so much. Keep up the great work. Thank you and happy new year to you both…to Nate, Doug…and of course, to very cute doggie, Fina. 👍😊
Complement amazing, Bad Chad You the man, and Jolene outstanding work that you let us see at home how things can come together. Thank you both for sharing!
What’s the chance of glass in the doors going up and down?
Slim to none.
Looking great! Kind regards and Merry Christmas from Lond. Eng. ❤👍
Build a dog door already lol 👍
This kind of work shows Chad at his best!! GREAT VIDEO!!
Awesome Chop Guys!
It's always very interesting to see how quickly you can adapt and put metal pieces together
Great work 😎👍
I love watching all you do. When you get, I wanted to do that stuff, but can't now.
sorry to hire❤
Chad choping the roof why didn't you cut though the center of the roof an widen it fit front pillars an save all the cutting an bending of them pillars at the rear fitting of rear window couldn't see any reason why the drip rails were cut it looked like plenty of window panel there maybe you, have to think running just an idea for you not criticism.
Because to do the top like that he would have to use the English wheel and he doesn't know how to use that very well
Chad is a sheet metal wizard, yet there's always some that says it can't be done, just watch and learn.
I think it really look great. A lot of work yet but I know you will get it tight and right. 😀
This is going to be one kick ass build brother
Doing 2 or 4 episodes in one day, gives you time to do other things both of you want to do or see other things. Example: special occasions or x-mas/new years. Or traveling somewhere. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
There is nothing much to do in a Town of 700 people! Like Chad said at the beginning of this episode we hanging around Christmas & nothing to do.
I don't think Chad or Jolene has any family they want to talk about. That's eliminates family togetherness.
Hi Chad and Jolene hope you have a great new year I also hope chads son is doing great tom from the USA God bless you all😊
Sounds like you got their lives all sorted out, you must be a teacher 😂😂😂
You have really made that top look good.
I like it when you hear something different with Fina when he was panting waking up probably coming out of a bad dream, you straight go to the dog no matter what's going on. You must love Fina very much. 😘
I like the way you don't hang around you go for it
I’m diggin the look of it so far and I like the vision he’s going for. But it’s so painful watching him cut a piece 7 or 8 times instead of just measuring it and cutting once lol
Lol fabrication doesn’t work like that for anyone.
Incredible. That back window is beautiful
Why the hell don't you have the dashboard covered up
THAT'S A PAIN - CHAD! AND, THAT'S NOT EASY MAKING YOUR OWN PUZZLE PIECES TO FIT A SMALLER SIZED WINDOW SHAPE, BUT YOU'RE DOING A GREAT JOB 👍😂 HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO CHAD, AND COMPANY!!, THAT'S YOUR LAST BUILD OF 2023 . BAD CHAD - YOU'RE NOT DONE! YOUR BEST IS YET TO COME, AND I BELIEVE EVEN THOUGH THE NEW YEARS TO COME, AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU, AND FAMILY !!
Happy holidays to you and your Special Lady!
I like this build ,should look good . The Back window looks a little to big, and to high up the roof ,but I'm sure Chad will do a good job .
Yes, the window needed to be moved downward toward the trunk, which would make the window fit the car. it also would have fit the shape of the top better where it's concaved some.
Hey. Chad your a rock star, the door post looks good😊
The design of the back line looks very similar to a 60 something Chevy bubble top. It is really cool. Can't wait to see what you do with the front. I think this car is going to be killer. PS: My husband loves the Hiltz camo cap I bought him for Christmas. Thank You.
It's looking great but my opinion is the back window is too big
It is really looking good and I’m learning a lot from watching u doing all this stuff to different cars and thank u
That is some great metal surgery you've done to those door tops Chad , the fact that the door took have to lean in to meet the roof , is an amazing feat , great job 👍
Tô bad they will not measure the same from side to side
Your doing a really nice job on that build n I love what you did to the shop
Great job on that rear window and B pillar.
No guys, no dashboard protection
I think we're getting there. I like the style.
Merry Christmas Chad and Jolene, Rudy from Portland Oregon
Looking good 👍 ...definitely a process...definitely love that chop...cya tomorrow
Chad you are making the car looking good 👍
Hi Chad & Jolene, I hope your Christmas was enjoyable. The details are always the hardest part when the angle of the roof is changed. It is also what in my opinion makes or breaks the job it is all in the details and how well everything fits together. Chad I have no doubt that you will have it looking really good by the time you are done with it! Jolene you are doing great work as always and you get us all the details in your camera work!
Need to coverup the dash that is one of many things I have learned by watching
Well done, an eye and know how of many years. Nice one guys. Happy New Year to you all. 👍👍🥂🍾
I like the big back window..its going to be a cool ride..chop is good...
Got a boink in the roof profile and a dogleg in the A pillar😢
Looks good keep up the good work
Cardboard in your gaps to retain the right thickness of the gap then Lil tack and splice on the rear post
Merry Christmas Chad and Jolene, from Down Under 😁👍🇦🇺
Great video , you make it look so easy!
true master craftsman love every build you jo ever done no putting back with fiberglass you chad and jo the best
Love the look of this car great job
Very nice work Chad looks great
Well as I'm watching i see how frustrating some figity jobs can be. Then add that you have a audience. I think that makes You Both 100x better than me. I couldn't handle the stress. HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS..
I think this is going to be the coolest 😎 👍build Chad.
Happy Christmas Chad and joelene and a great new year keep it going all the best
I realize it's making more work for you, but I believe the b pillar would look tough leaning forward.
Its going great❤❤
Merry Christmas and Happy New year 🎉🎉
Every day I watch the videos and I am always amazed how he does things and how fast he does things 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That roof chop looks great ..one tough looking old girl
In all honesty, my way is the right way, reason being yours is not.
beautifull job ..thanks to Chads experience he just makes it happen the first time
He does know he's fucked this right up, doesn't he😂
Merry Xmas Chad and Jolene and I wish y’all a very happy New Year !
Excellent. Thank you
You should be able to keep that marker in place and just pull the string out it’s retractable it should have rubber end that you place the end of marker or pencil if it’s like the ones we use ? We use them to mark and cut drywall sheet rock and 2 by 4 u can get a dark black color or red or white thick construction pencils then you don’t have to worry about the lids to the makers and lose them and dry out if u forget . You should be able to find them pencils ✏️ they are about flat and thick not like the regular round ones . You can find them at Home Depot or Lowe’s don’t know what u have there or just the hardware store they are great to have to mark your cuts a white color would probably work more often for you . May be able to get the lid to slip in the end rubber peace also and just put the marker right back in the cap so you don’t have to pull the whole marker off of it .? Not sure witch on you have
