Great job Dan North! Your explanation of agile is engaging, thoughtful and kept me watching through to your updates on the principles. goto; you organize great conferences!
Plot twist: even 2017er Companies do 1990s functional silo, 4 Eye whatever slow mo development. And thinking they are agile because the workbench has a jira board 😢
I wish he stopped giving "middle-age white men" as an example of lack of diversity. since he is talking about *diversity of thought/opinion*. It seems that the confusion of age, color, and sex are relevant characteristics for diversity of opinions on programming actually harms the concept.
Don't agree with the notion that diversity is and of itself a good thing. Things designed by committee are rarely best. What we want is small, productive, like-minded teams, working at high speed and trying lots of different things out.
He mentioned diversity of culture which can be good but also throws in diversity of gender and race which has no inherent value other than promoting the SJW culture in tech. Not all 'culture' is created equal. Strive to hire people who are willing to try new ideas and challenge the status quo in a healthy manner, not just because they're different from everyone else in your team.
Love the refreshed Manifesto. Much more relevant.

You're virtue signalling by calling him racist.
Agile is more of a philosophy, a way of thinking. Not a bunch of methods.

Like-minded teams never try lots of different things out. Because they're like-minded.
