    Love the format, gents. Idea for these cars: give yourselves another small budget for safety and ergo(seats, pads and fluid, setup) and take them back to the track to see the change in lap times. That k-swap is a monster, but the lsd in the DC2 is the great equalizer here.
    Keep up the great content!

    • @mattteee2973
      @mattteee2973 2 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      agreed! This new format is good but I still miss the orignal S/A vids where they had a small fleet of cars and would focus on identifying problems and improving them after each track session.
      Maybe it works better for sponsors but the recent builds sometimes go too heavy on the parts cannon (for my taste anyway)

    • @Giuliana-w1f
      @Giuliana-w1f 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Safety should not be in the budget limit, like in lemons.
      Brakes (not improving, just fixing, and brake lines), seats, fixing anything that's not safe, and just anything that makes it safer.

    Seat belts - You can slide the seat back a couple clicks, buckle up, reach over your shoulder and yank quick on the belt to lock it, and then scootch forward the couple clicks and it will lock you in. I used to do this for autocross. Not as good as a harness, but it costs zero dollars, so might help in situations like this.

    27:01 to answer you question, I really enjoy the 10th gen civic si. I had the sedan, the coupe is only a 7lbs difference. Stock and/or slightly modified, that car is absolutely amazing… Mine had 18x9.5 wheels, Eibach pro spring kit, Eibach front rear sway bar, Boomba lower engine mount, Acuity shifter linkage bushings, Ultra racing trunk and strut brace and a Mishimoto oil catch can. Thing handled corners insanely well, the active dampening and the posi diff active in sport mode makes a massive difference. I’m happy they never put auto rev match in that car. I love the new format! Great series guys, love it. Pete's k series hatch is basically a drag car, with no power brakes, and no power steering lol

    This format was perfect. Enough time to really get into the videos. Keep this style going.

    I love the pace for the builds, it really shows what you guys are putting into it and then putting it to the test on the track. But once in awhile it is good to take it slow and really dial things in properly.
    Keep it up guys, love it

    I read a James Patterson book between those shifts in the integra both in drag and track races. But that teggy is beautiful

    Would love a follow up series where y'all do incremental common track upgrades and show their performance gains.

    Loved the content and the longer episodes. Old format, new format, all good stuff.

    Great series guys! Good to see that after all these years a D2 can still work magic. Yesterday's boy racer is now the refined gentleman on the track. But power can make up for a host of shortcomings and the K2 swap made one hell of a hot hatch.

    For the white type R I would port & polish the head, do a skunk 2 cam upgrade, switch to K ignition coils & 13:1 install high compression forged pistons.... and in case of doubt 100 shot.....
