Had an idea to make lore that connected each of the orcs from the base game, explorer's guide to wildemount, and the orcs from ebberon. Basically it boils down to Gruumsh created the basic orcs to be his people, the lore there is basically the same. The wildemount orcs were the result of him battling the elven god, probably for the second time, the wildemount orcs were elves that came into contact with the blood of Gruumsh, so he doesn't like them vary much but he takes joy in the fact that they were the creation of the elven god that have become corrupted by his will. The ebberon orcs were the result of Gruumsh and the other orc gods coming to the conclusion that the orcs as they were would never actually forge a place for themselves in the world, so he created the ebberon orcs to essentially be his magnum opus, suffering none of the negatives that normal orcs did.

Badass Grumsh literally told the other gods. "No room for the Orcs? I see room for the Orcs. Right here, and here, and there, and over there. There is room EVERYWHERE for the orcs."
Came here to add this.. the story as I remember it, he stabbed their map with his spear, shouting, the Orcs will live Here! And Here! And Here! And all the places that he stabbed became wild lands, desolate badlands, hidden caves, etc etc. Places that his Orcs could thrive, and mount attacks against the other nearby races.

Orcs must do a lot of struggle snuggling.
Considering how often human hybrids seem to occur in D&D, it's either a lot of that or a lot of human bards visting the orcs.
@@IrvingIV I fear the first one...
More reasons to kill them tho.
@@ls200076 Don't take every comment you see in the internet seriously, please.
Now I'm just imagining an orc woman cuddling with her new human husband from a marriage alliance between her orc tribe and his human tribe. And it is hilarious...
Now I can sell my JPEG of cheese with ease and save money, thanks Runesmith!👍🏼
The one thing I have to say about this video is that stupid meme "It's free real estate". I've never heard it nor seen it in motion before and didn't know it was ASMR.
Idk how you do this, Logan. But when i was wanting to make a session about hags, you released the Hag video. Now im planning a game for my gf's family trying to have it about orcs, and you release this. Thanks so much man. You do great work and I'm a huge fan. Keep it up. :)
Happened to me too
@@chrisvoelzow957 good to know im not alone lol.
Basically Goblinoids? Pretty please?
Goblins are best.
BUGBEAR!!!!!
Hobgoblin.
I want to worship a deity whose sole purpose is to shout "SUPPER TIME!"
I'm may play an orc that doesn't believe in the gods. Maybe a wizard.
While doing his taxes, Grozzeg has accidentally proven that their are no gods. The math all checks out too.
@@Bladez10 well I didn't know it was Homer Simpson was a orc
I hope you have a good DM, who is willing to roll with that and make a whole arc where Gruumsh is very displeased by this Orcish Wizard and sends evil Orcs after him!
i'm building a campaing around this, the phanteon of orcs took almost all of others gods, and now are figuring out who is going to be the boss, they agree that this would be decided in the planet, each of them chose a champion and are now in the middle of this "war"
Tldr: if you're a woman, death is a preferable alternative to being captured if your village is raided by orcs.
This video gave me an idea for combining two or three other character ideas into a single character, who is now much more interesting.
As an orc, I feel very attacked by this viscious mischaracterization. Me and tens of thousands of my fellow gentleorcs would like to have words with you.
Well, one word.
"All elfs must die"
That's a philosophy I can get behind
Too bad we have no high quality tabletop channels talking about the 40k rpgs. The lore and mechanics are fascinating. (Except Wrath and Glory. Fuck that book)
I love the 'all gods sitting playing risk, leading to the war with the elves'
Orc Wizards can cast Fist real good.
Love your dry humor and your channel keep up the good work dryer the better
Thanks, I have a entire orc section and I was missing the other gods.
It warms my heart that you got a Squarespace sponsorship :) I used to hear TB's (Rest In Peace :( ) voice during his podcast and it just brings back some good memories.
I love learning about my husbandos and waifus.
🤔 same tho
....Now that this video is a thing, it's actually kind of scary how well a player in my group roleplays his orc character. Almost entirely spot on.
It would be cool if you did "basically kenkus" but hey, its your channel but if you made that video it would make atleast one viewer happy
it's a hard U, Grumsh vs Groumsh
also it's specifically High elves that they hate, the other elves just get put in the same barrel by association, and because they are in the way.
I just noticed this but the symbol for Luthic is just the japanese hiragana for the "U" sound.
I am more surprised you have not Covered the wild lore behind Grey orcs yet seriously its no wonder Volo's Guide has a hard on for how religous they are.
the image at 0:33 need to be a meme SO BADLY!
This video mainly covered the rarer orcs, the gray orcs. The green orcs are even crazier and don´t worship Gruumsh as zealously. They worship whats the strongest. They live in the mountains and come down to kill and plunder everything they can.
Last time I was this early, the Giants and Dragons and Aboleth and all that stuff that’s old was young.
when I read "Orc" i only think of 40K orcs. and them yelling WWAAAAAAAAAAGGH! all the time
I get they screw everything, willing or not. But how are these things still alive?!? XD
a LOT of screwing things
It's a numbers game. Screw enough things and some of them might come out alive.

You know what else has Orcs ... *"Raid Shadow Legends"* Raid Shadow Legends is a free to play online Mobil game with thousands of free champions to choose from.

Meh. The gameplay was about 20 minutes of fun. The background and story made no sense, there was no feeling of accomplishment, and the money-grubbing is overt and desperate. I played for two days, then uninstalled a week later when I realized it was still there.
Your videos are great! I'm not even a DnD player, but I like your videos because they encourage my writing. Especially your antagonist video! Thanks for all of your work, dude
Squarespace is fine, but I'm so proud of you for not giving in to raid shadow legends
Thought there was a random brown spot in the middle of the video, but no, there was a piece of tuna on my TV. How? The work of Gruumsh.
GRUMSH HAS SPOKNE
Love this channel! Any advice for starting my own d&d channel?
Holy shit. This was entertaining and educational.
