Regardless of what you think of the Palestinian cause, Hamas’s recent actions only signed the death warrant of many of the people they claim to represent.
A nation will always and should respond to attacks. And what Hamas did is equal to a declaration of war or a heavy escalation of an ongoing war.
Sure, it is a complicated issue with no solution. Neither Hamas' attack nor Israel's response gets us closer to a solution. Expect more bloodshed and more innocent lives lost on both sides because that is the history and it is destined to repeat for the rest of our lives. This reminds me of the endless shootings in America that come with no action on gun ownership. The loss of life means very little and changes little.

I never knew the full story between Israel and the Palestinians and I never knew who was the wrong one in their situation. Now it's clear to me. It's obvious. This situation reminds me of WW2 and the bombing of Dresden and Hamborg. There was an old man on a British Morning Show talking about participating in such carnage. He said from 1840 and 1945, western Europe was either preparing to fight the Germans or actually fighting Germany. They were fed up with all the fighting and chose to completely crush everything as a warning they would never forget. It worked. Germany has grown to a nation that does not resort to such barbaric behavior. Hamas has the world's attention - don't blow it by refusing to embrace this last chance for harmony. We might never have another chance for world peace.
