Paints seem to be plateauing at the ProAcryl level haha these new lines like this and the Fanatics line seem really similar to proacryl. Its nice, we’ll have options now. I wonder how much better paints can get…
I feel like each line has its pros and cons, I feel like I would have a hard time saying which line is best, ,and I have the better part of about 5 different paint ranges. I am always experimenting to see if I can find something better. Would love to try the fanatic paints. Thanks for the comment.
@@TooMiniModels i agree its best to pick and choose the best paints from each line, and its good to see so many good lines now. Have you tried the fanatics? I will definitely be picking a couple to test when the singles release
WTF this is epic!
Yes, they are good and who has even heard of them!
@@TooMiniModelsYou have to try ak's color punch
Great video! As I can see you are a fellow "paint and hobby-tools collector". Imo what is missing in this video is showing how well the gsw opaque paints sticks to the plastic without a primer, kinda to compare them to the AK 3rd gen black that you showed at the beginning. Besides that I got all the info I needed, thank you! I think I will try my hands on the yellow - orange - red spectrum of this line.
Thanks! I am glad you liked the video. I kind of got burned out of using exclusively citadel and wanted to explore the whole paint world outside of them. So many good paint lines and all are usually very affordable. GSW is surprisingly one of my favorite lines recently. The opaque paints are great, I might swap the white for bold titanium white, but they are great to mix or use as base coats. I will have to try them on some bare plastic!
Also, the other colors are nice to, namely the browns and tans, great for blonde hair, bones, etc
I like paint reviews
Me too!
Vallejos extra opaque range is really nice.
You mean the game color opaque? I have a set of those, I need to try them again. I feel like they're really super thick and hard to shake.
@@TooMiniModels add two mixing balls and a drop or two of flow improver.
They cover in one coat and dry very matt
@@nightingale4632 Steel or glass balls? Thanks for letting me know!
I use stainless steel balls and winsor newton's flow improver@@TooMiniModels
@@TooMiniModels I find a lot of people struggle with many paint ranges because they don't mix the paint properly. I add mixing balls to almost everything I use, unless it comes with them already added.
Yellow n red seem legit
Yes, and they can be mixed to make almost any color except really vibrant colors as they are a bit muted.
Army Painter is overpriced for its quality. Green Stuff World all the way.
