So nice! Love the two heads, the extra hands, the cape and the colors. The Super Powers look is awesome! It's a real shame he's so short though. Really wish he was as tall as Mongul.
The arms do rotate at the elbow, just like Mongul. You gotta heat them up. The reason the arms pop so easily and why he is so short is because this will be the BAF megafig, easy to assemble and short enought to fit in package with the other toys in the wave.
The glow in the dark version of Swamp Thing did come with both heads from the previous two releases but I'm pretty sure that's the only one and since it was a reuse of existing figures I'd still give it to Darkseid.
I would like him to be Taller than his Kalibak, with a darker blue and no corny D but it's still an awesome figure. If they put out another with those improvements, then I might consider getting it, but it will probably only be the last two and not the first.
I really hope they make a Jack Curby darkseid rather than superpowers look although I like it. I'm still debating if I should jump on the ebay listing for it. but its $85!
Mongul is unreasonably tall for being 8’ in the comics. Darkseid is 8’9” so at least a two thirds of a head taller. My critique of Todd’s mega is they’re generally too tall. Kalibak is too tall as well as he is 15” shorter than Darseid but it works. DCUC was a lot better with scaling imo
Wow I didn't know that Kalibak is a little bit taller than his father Darkseid on the video. But I did noticed that Mongul is way taller than both Darkseid and Kalibak on the video. That particular Darkseid is alright. But I don't like the fact that his arms can easily popped out of place. The wired cape is okay. But it don't look like the cape can stay in place by itself. But overall it's a okay figure to me.
His elbows do rotate, you have to pose both sides when doing a wired cape I've never owned a figure with a wired cape that stays when pulling up one side without manipulation of the other side... looked like you weren't even trying🤣! and that scale of darkseid is actually about right for pre new 52 darkseid, up until he was made like 25 feet tall in the new 52 he was at most a couple feet taller than superman and sometimes eye to eye with him depending on who was drawing him and also also kalibak is accurate as well for pre new 52, he was usually drawn about the same height as darkseid but thick as shit making him bigger!
I just wanna hit my head against a desk. Why because it’s getting harder to get your channel noticed when big names get all of the good stuff first. No disrespect enjoyed the video 👍
TBH compared to the Superman figure, this Darkseid is way too tall. This version of Darkseid was never a giant in the comics. He was always around the same height (or slightly taller, depending on the artist) as Superman. It's only when Jim Lee redesigned Darkseid that he started being drawn as a giant.
@@carlgibson285 He looks tall next to Supes but he's small compared to Kalibak and Mongul and other mega figs. McFarlane's Multiverse scaling has always been inconsistent though.
@@craxyman9025 yeah, scaling is definitely an issue with these figures in general. I'm really new to collecting so I only have a few McFarlane figures, and as much as I love the figures I have so far, there are ones I'll never want because the size is so off. I really wanted the Frankenstein figure until I saw the size of it. He should be around Lobo's height, not 11ft tall.

No bicep swivel and single jointed elbows, it’s a little pathetic that Darkseid can’t get into one of his more iconic poses with his arms behind his back. I’m surprised with how much I like though, but without articulation he desperately needs I’m going to pass.
I agree!😮💨 There are more party's to make a better darkseid in the figure company.🤔 If mafex can get a crack at it for the next production run on Mediacom toys.🤔🤞
Because I make soft goods myself, I can say that wired capes with even the bottom edge wired are superior as it allows you to pose them even better than just having the 2 sides wired like the Earth 2 Supes which is disappointing. The flaw with this figure though, is that the cape is not securely attached to his chest/traps and this is why the cape flops around with the wired bottom edge. With my capes, I permanently attach them at the neck area which then allows me to do whatever I want with the cape including having it be posed all the way up like what you were trying to do!
I do really like the possibility afforded by the bottom wire, but it really does feel like a thicker and stronger wire along the sides would have been better. The wire is so weak!
@@DCMultiCollector yeah that’s also valid! But the main point is, for a wired cape to work well, it has to be securely attached to the body and not like how its only attached to that tiny little chest medallion 😪
That arm problem is concerning. Don't like this version of darkseid, nice to look at but I think DCU BAF Darkseid is still the best. Let see if we get our comic Darkseid no cape
Its crazy out here. Most people haven't even got the batman 2 pack yet. Im scared most wont get darksied till late August. I order from his site because of his precision shipping. He usually ships within the month that its said to release. Im just a bit disappointed this time.
Look, I have no idea how this makes it past QC but in practice it’s not a huge deal. You just have to apply some pressure when posing the arm. Kinda weird tho.
Not really. The Darkseid that this figure is based on was never portrayed as being a giant in the comics. He was usually around the same height or just slightly taller than Superman.
Great to see additional hands and an extra head included with this Mega figure . Hopefully we will see more of this . Excellent review friend 🎉
You are right. During the Byrne written and drawn Fourth World title, he definitely established Uxxas (sp?) in a series of flashback tales.

If I ever get Darkseid, I would customize him into his DCAU Justice League Unlimited counterpart.
The one with the black armor or the the black and white costume he has in the finale?
The arms pop off on my copy too.
Excellent review my friend!! 🙌 Can’t wait to for mine to ship! Tbh this might be in my Top 3 this year!
One helluva excellent version ❤❤❤
It's awesome, looks very cool this Darkseid, great review 💯.

Hey did Mcfarlane toys store already ship them out yet? Where did u get this Darkseid?
Hey, brother, great review, but his elbows can rotate. Try heating them up with a hair dryer (low heat,) that might do the trick.

Just wanted to ask you, how many multiverse figures do you have? I have a few. Really like your display and videos.
@@paulhartsock3747 I haven’t counted in a while but it’s a couple/few hundred!
Awesome. I have between 250 to 270. I lost count. Lol.
I’m waiting on my order. This will go on Supermen and villains shelf.

sad that kalibak is bigger tbh. looks great but just not big enough

Is the cape removable?
Not officially. Smart folks have removed it.
His height is what I was concern about looked short from the get go smh
I can't imagine Darkseid having to look up to anyone. He's way too short, but he does look good.

Darkseid is very athletic. Even faster than Superman. I don't know what you're on about..
He’s not a guy that move around a lot tho . He lets his Omega beams do the fighting.
I hate McFarlane figures and how they feel in hand. They feel so cheap. That being said, I ordered this figure.
