Just scooped myself the 23 L.B. It holds up very well. I can say you guys are RIDERS, very impressed with your skills. You guys put almost all US riders to shame with this video. I don't see anybody else on youtube hitting the dirt as hard as you guys. Good stuff, keep shredding 🤙
Thank you so much for your kind words mate! The LB is a solid option, they are different beasts but as far as I’m concerned, I’m not letting my LB go anywhere 😎
Great Video boys. The riding is exceptional! You are hauling ass up that rocky trail and my stomach was in knots just watching! Keep it up.. Love your content! 👍
Have taken the Ultra for a quick asfalt test and it felt soooo much better with my 193cm. Didnt feel like i was gonna loop the bike or that it was so small as the Light bee. Really wanna get one....
Yeah id's say that for taller riders that really feel cramped on the Light the Ultra is a perfect match. On the other hand, I (Quentin) am only 170cm and as soon as we fitted the 21/18 I felt less at ease on the more technical trails. What's cool is that there is a lowered seat available and with that, even shorter riders will feel right at home!
Merci Greg!
How would a stock ultra do against a 15 kilowatt light b in a Drag race? Surprisingly, I have not seen a video of this. You guys are killing it, thanks!
Thank you mate! Regarding the drag race, unless specific grip conditions (where the Ultra would have a wide rear tyre and the Light could not pass the power due to poor traction), the LB would fly away in no time. More power, less weight, that's it!
Really good shots. It was just a bit hard to understand your english and also to figure out who was on which bike. Still I was wondering how these bikes would do on technical trail riding and I sure saw that they look extremely capable as what you were riding was seriously knarly. Iwas surprised you actually like the smaller bike in a lot of areas. Thanks for showing how they do in that type of terrain.
Really apreciate the worked LBX vs Ultra bee test. Been debating with my dad about this. I think I was right, for a $15k budget, an ace pilot would probably be better off with the LBX and many mods. The more casual rider might prefer the UB. What about if range or road commute is a factor? which would you chose then? I'm very curious how stock UB range compares with modifed LBX battery and controller.
Thank you for the nice words! And sorry to answer this late. Range wise the UB has a more confortable battery. Now with a bigger battery and a controller on the LB, properly geared, the LB will have more range. That being said, you can upgrade the UB too! We'll do a comparison video 👍
Stock regen (it's really mellow) with this type of riding you can hit between 45 and 50kms. It's very honorable. We'll dedicate a video later on to range test.
Rear shock, fork, wheels n' tire and a suspension upgrades and I reckon the Ultra will be a great one. Any aftermarket controller out there for the Ultra?
Great stuff I was looking forward to your review of the new ultra! On the light bee, how often do you change your brake pads? Can you use the ultra brake system on the light bee?
Good pads last about 10-15 rides I'd say (no regen). There's always a way to adapt anything haha. But it won't be any more plug and play than other moto brakes…
Power-wise the Ultra is obviously less violent than a 15kW LB. Nevertheless it's nervous at low speeds and despite lacking torque at higher speeds, it has a very good top end. So although it becomes less playful it can definitely follow a powerful LB.
@@MTO_Brothers If you could recommend rider like me at 170cm 70kg with stock LB. Should i upgrade to ultra bee or stick with LB and get battery 60v65ah (maybe 72v) and torp 500 at 10-12kw? I like to ride trails not so much jumping high on moto track. Thanks if you read this! 🤙👍✌️
@@ridlaridlidouzou For you size and usage, you'd better go with the Light Bee. It's playful and you'll feel more confident on it as it's lighter. Also get a 72V over a 60V, performs better in every regard.
Seems like the weight should be the limit, otherwise you get a swine like the SB. Oui no? So lighter suspension components, add some batteries and bigger front tire. Maybe will remain original weight. Your thoughts?
Not an expert (yet) in moto suspensions. We’ll probably have a look at that at some point. We removed about 3kg already when preparing it. Weight increase with the 21/18 didn’t felt that much while riding (that’s for the next video 😝)
