    If anyone can't find the "Texture Slots" Box where you set it to "Single Image" like me, in newer Blender versions it's been moved: It's now at the top toolbar, if you look above the radius and/or strength sliders, there it is. Maybe this helps someone :)

    Outstanding tutorial! UV mapping is one of the last areas in blender that is still largely a mystery for me. I knew about us painting, but this te hnique of compositing multiple images into a final uv map is awesome!

    In the newer version of Blender, there is no longer "mix RGB", instead there is "mix color". I hope I helped and saved you some time.

    Great tut. I can do a whole body the same way? what about eyes etc.?

    • @The-Qwertyuiop123
      @The-Qwertyuiop123 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. if you are only working on the face, you will project the mesh and move/scale it so that the head part aligns with the photo. If the eyes are a separate mesh, you will repeat the entire process for each eye, just move/scaling the eye projection so that it fits the eye part of the photo. The backs of the eyes will have to be painted manually if you don't have references for all sides.

    Amazing tutorial but now I am stuck doing the sides. Retracing the steps does not work. Are you planning an updated tutorial on how to do the sides along side the front?

    • @The-Qwertyuiop123
      @The-Qwertyuiop123 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      How does retracing the steps not work? Remember, you need a new uv map for each side, an image of the person from those sides, and you must project from view from the correct angle that matches the side. Once painting, you just select the 'source clone uv map' dropdown and select your side projection, then paint it so that it blends into what is already painted. Retracing the steps worked just fine for me. At what point are you experiencing trouble, and what is happening exactly?

    • @dazwraps8213
      @dazwraps8213 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@The-Qwertyuiop123 Thank you so much for the clarification. I was able to get the side and back views working correctly, but I believe it would make a great tutorial if setting up all views is included from the beginning. In all cases, multiple views are needed to achieve a good likeness. Anyway, it was an amazing tutorial. Thanks a bunch!

      Same
      Edit: Its because the render camera for main map was off. In properties select Data, UV Maps, and you will see all of your maps with the cameras to the side. I didn't realize this had to be done because in the vid, he selects the right cam but then deselects it and says it isn't necessary so long as the map itself is selected

    Hi how come I am unable to manipulate the mesh around the eyes to match the background picture when press G? It move the entire things not local. Can you let me know how? Thanks for the video

    • @erikmattson2507
      @erikmattson2507 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The circle representing the proportional editing may be too big. Make sure you click to select only one vertex. Next type the "G" key. Use the mouse wheel to increase or decrease the size of the circle until only the local you want moves.

  • @sharaudramey9336
    @sharaudramey9336 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thank you, you're using shift + alt + click? Only ctrl works for me... odd. What's the difference between vertex and edge select when making a 1 line only 1 vertex wide?

    • @The-Qwertyuiop123
      @The-Qwertyuiop123 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Vertex select allows you to select individual vertexes at a time, edge select allows you to select the edges (two vertices with a line connecting them) individually

    What about bringing out the eyes my character photo Crystal has green eyes?

    • @The-Qwertyuiop123
      @The-Qwertyuiop123 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm assuming your eyes are separate objects. You will have to repeat this process for each eye, except instead of fitting the projection to the entire face, you are fitting the eye projection only to the eye in the image, and you will have to paint the backs of the eyes manually.

    • @The-Qwertyuiop123

      That should be possible, you may have different maps for the torso and face, then paint them both on the main map
