Dr.Warrier alcohol is very dangerous for kids my age(meaning the 17-21 year range)! I get the experimentation phase thing but still it makes them do crazy stuff with it! Do you think the idea of raising the drinking age to 25 and then also teaching them along the way about the effects of it is a good idea? It’s very hard for them to balance things like assignments, tests, and clubs already!

I have been struggling with my weight and love Dr. Pal's advice (Though I haven't really been doing daily fasting, sorry doctor,) but Dr. Warrier's insight into my own neurology is a game-changer. One of the BEST videos I Have ever come across in my life!
A BIG THANKS to Dr. Pal for even taking this enlightening initiative to create a podcast with Dr.Warrier.
I feel so much AT PEACE at hearing Dr. Warrier tell about the limbic system , ACC , and the prefontal cortex. It feels so comforting to know that habits are much easier to form when we know the basis of how they are formed in the first place. Because, before i had just thought habits , discipline, motivation , etc were inherent traits of an individual like the color of the eye , youre born with it and nothing you can do can change. But i realise and see that everyone has the power to form and continue habits.
Being a doctor myself , there were moment where I wondered why I had come into this field because it didnt seem fulfillint. But hearing both of you talk, i have regained that spark, and i cant wait to learn and to help others the same way you both are.
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH ❤️❤️❤️

Wow , watching this podcast was the best 2 hours well spent in my life. Dr pal and Dr sid both are such great intellectuals . I really feel that was some conversation happened between a gut and a brain . Dr Sid really articulate meaningful words which makes proper sense and dr pal as always witty and makes sure even a layman can understand these biological terms by asking right questions and emphasize some complex terms to be simpler .

This conversation is one of the best on the youtube, explained very well, the little poem was excellent and it turned marvelous with your smile .Thank you for stating that conflict in mind is okay, this statement is such a relief to all of us, if not each one thinking something is wrong with them, when it's wrong with everyone.😊

Pleasure listening to both these handsome and intelligent gentlemen. I used to binge drink every single day (i had severe mental health issues and trauma) for almost 10 years. I saw my journey from enjoying alcohol to how it turned me into a monster who fought with people unnecessarily, created drama, cried uncontrollably in the toilets of clubs and even worse things. I then developed gastroenteritis which is when i eventually stopped drinking. It was the best decision of my life. I have been off alcohol for almost 10 years now. As for Instagram.. I could totally relate to feeling depressed and anxious because of the constant scrolling. Ive now deleted the app and in a matter of 3 days i began feeling better. Thank you for this episode. Truly wonderful watch.

I'm.so so glad to listen to this conversation. Many ppl don't realize the difference between sleeping and having a well rested sleep. Also,a few days back I was listening to a podcast where Dr.Erica Komisar was the guest and she had mentioned that melatonin in the brain, in adolescent i.e.approx. 9yrs- 27/28yrs. yrs, is produced 3-4 later in the day when compared to an adult, and they are being made to function in a world designed solely by the adults and for the adults, no wonder, the kids are stressed, no wonder, the so called grownups are stressed out and enact out like kids...and the world looks like, it's being run by kids who are hyperactive or inactive but not kids, who are well regulated, curious and open.
    We definitely need an overhauling.

The binge watching we need ! Videos by dr.Pal and now dr. Warrier. Great jugalbandi ..brain hacks were just wonderful..Most relevant information brought out in such a lucid and interesting manner! Thank you docs. ..evidence-based medicine , applicable in our day-to-day lives, by experts in the field being made more palatable to the brain (pun intended) ...also, this really got me thinking that more docs need to come up with such content and dr. Pal later in the video said that only "Doctors should make more content on TH-cam for the benefit of more people " .. (i m inspired)
