Worked for me I used a 6.8k for my Nokia n70. Connecting to laptop with cable was an issue with usb 3 and windows 10 kept crashing once installed nokia suite for the driver, so I used an older laptop with usb 2.0 and that connected it and installed the suite for driver and successi got my lock code with bb5. Been trying for years finally mission complete. Thanks 👍

Tip here: resistors are electrical components with no polarity. You can put them either way, doesn't matter. In your case, it probably didn't made good electrical connection the first time. Nice video, thanks for this info!

@@Retrophonesstuff actually thinking about it,you can’t since the USB mode a bricked N73 goes in is impossible to flash and you need a FBUS cable mine got bricked from forgetting to disable drivers signing
Those round connectors (not the headphones jack) are for programing I believe. The 6080 should have the normal Nokia data port. I don't know if you can do something with the round connectors. Usually repair shops have them.

Fully working S60 Nokia for $10. :) By the way, no option for repair boxes or shops in the US, glad the BB5 BEST program worked.
The lock code would still be there even after flashing it with Phoenix or BB5. The only other way to remove the lock by flashing it is with equipment that phone reapair centers had.

Hi, I need a little bit of help: Got a locked N82 that after inserting any resistor from 3.9k to 6,8k to unmarked and - pin blinks (screen and keyboard) for a split second and stays dead, without it it just boots up to lock code, when I put the resistor other way same thing happends, and when I plug the charger in it seems to kill a battery.
Hello. Sorry for the late reply. The screen bliks white for a second then it should say Local Mode and the Nokia logo in the middle of the screen with the backlight off. Watch the screen closely. I just tested mine now.

@@Retrophonesstuff Alright back from the test: sadly screen stays 100% dark aka off entire time (checked in dark room for this) and since I waited bit longer this time around after 6-7 seconds there is the second blink but nothing more afterwards, no loading and BB5 also showing nothing I don't quite understand why isn't it working but it seems that my N82 is quirky to say the least
I'm trying to unlock a Nokia 5200 phone, I tried with a resistor of 5,6 k Ohm but nothing happened, then with one of 6.6 k Ohm and after pressing the power button "Test mode" appeared on the screen; unfortunately when i connect it to PC it's not detected by Nokia Best (I installed phone drivers, maybe the problem is that I'm not using an original data cable, but if i normally power on the phone display the USB icon along side with a message to unblock to be able to transfer data). I also noted that test mode does not last more than 20-30 seconds, after that the phone automatically power off.
Hello. I made a video updating Nokia N95 8GB. You won't notice any difference between your firmware and the newer one. Not all firmwares have all the languages. The one that I have on my N95 8GB has only hindi and english.

I don't know if there is an app for that. Back in 2005-2010 these phones had standard emoji like ex: :-D and :)) but only dedicated app like Yahoo messenger had graphic emoji...
Use an older pc or a virtual machine with older components from 2010-2013. You also need to install the drivers. Install Nokia PC Suite, it should have the drivers in it.

Those round connectors (not the headphones jack) are for programing I believe. The 6080 should have the normal Nokia data port. I don't know if you can do something with the round connectors. Usually repair shops have them.

Search on google for Nokia PC Suite and install it. It should have the necesary drivers. But when you use BB5, close the Nokia PC Suite program.

The program does not come with the firmware. You have to download that separately ans copy the rm file to the products folder.
