I got this phone from a relative, when I told him about my phone collection. Surprisingly it is working, but the battery is in very bad condition. In this video I rebuild this battery, so I have better lifetime.
My equipment:

i think better use li-polymer battery for bigger mAh...for this old phone......you should try another tutorial replacement old device and old laptop for replacement old battery to new battery without buy new one battery

@@bogdan-vasileapostolache3160 Well mostly i made this the similar way like in video. I was used 2 batteries from Benq digital camera and connect them both to recive similar size and mouth them on original battery case.

I don't know if two of those batteries will fit. But it may be possible.
Why you connect the battery in series ? The charger output is 5 volt, and you connect two battery in series that means 3.7v+3.7v=7.4v

Original charger is ACH-4E: output DC 10V 740mA.
I don't know where you got 5 volts from. The battery is 6 volts, and the charger probably puts out around 8 volts

These are new standard batteries, so probably an hour to charge and maybe a couple of days of life, depending on calls. Don't forget you won't be browsing Internet on this phone, so I would be surprised if batteries lasted even longer.

There is no problem with li-ion battery? Because original battery is ni-mh!
The standard battery is 6 volts, you got it with a new 7.4 volt. Will the extra 1.4 volts harm the phone?

Незабудьте при разборке акамулятора оставить деталь она соединяет +с - соединяем через неё иначе держать небудет. В видео этого нету.
3,7 плюс 3,7 это почти 8 вольт при зарядке телефона будет. Сгорит нахрен либо контроллер либо еще что то. Полная чушь... Знаю человека который два телефона запорол по этому видео.

Так делать не безопасно. Нельзя вместо никеля ставить литий. У них разный принцип заряда.

Better solution would be a proper lithium ion charger and a bit bigger cells
Why does it need an extra resistor? Is it because the charger outputs 10 volt and the batteries combined are 7.4 volt?
@@robintewolde1992 If i'm not wrong, the resistor is so that the battery indicator will be working properly. The phone works without it, but that does not work properly.
Can I buy it
I rebuild my Nokia battery that way. Only what I got to do was chance resistor to 82kohm and put 39kohm beside the NTC resistor. After that it charging battery full and battery indicator working right way. I can sell my phone if price is right.
Did it works todays SIM Card or Network Carrier?
@@saleemkurre5 Actually I put SIM card to the phone and dialing my friend. He didn't believe that I can call him By using Nokia 1610. But It worked. Here in finland. Only it needs somekind of adapter 'cause sim card was then huge.
