Minolta SRT101 Street Photography with AristaEDU 200 Black & White 35mm film

- I take my Minolta SRT101 into an urban area of Indianapolis, Indiana with a roll of black and white AristaEDU 200 film that I hand developed at home after the shoot.
I also use a 28-80mm Minolta lens, as I find the flexibility of a zoom in urban areas worth the potential loss of glass quality. It's film people, who cares how 'perfect' it is!? One of my most enjoyable experiences with photography usually comes from film, although I enjoy and work a lot with digital, it's the film process/developing/scanning that I find very fulfilling.
I have books available on Amazon for purchase, and appreciate your support of my youtube channel. Please subscribe!

I never had a Minolta back in the day, but I got lots of great street shots with one of its competitors, the Canon TL. Great old cameras back then. No reason you can't use them still, though they are a little noisy. KER-CHUNK!
Thanks for sharing! I love the feel and KER-CHUNK of old film cameras. The newer auto models, while convenient, are too generic for me. I like the 80s models.
I always find your choice of image interesting , thanks for the video 👍.
So nice of you! Thanks!
Hi Jason
As always I enjoyed your video!! I I'm always anxious to see your videos to see what new things you're showing & /or teaching. I am getting back into my photography after finishing radiation treatments in Feb. For something different I've been using older and smaller digital compact cameras with the CCD sensors. Keep your videos coming.
Best wishes,
Duane
Hope all is better now Duane! And glad to hear you're back out shooting! I find myself referring back to older gear more and more!

My cool find was a thrift store $3 Kodak Easy Share M577 that has a Schneider lens (5x lens) and the interesting thing it has built in film filters: Kodachrome, Ektachrome, Kodacolor, T-Max, Tri-Max, and Sepia.
Best wishes,
Duane
I still have my Minolta set 101 bought it in the 60s how did every sense had a 1022 with a bunch of lenses? 2:35
Hi Walter, I'm not sure I understand the question, can you clarify? Thanks!
