    This is a Reader's Digest version of the Full Holey Goat Build Saga! ALL 23 Build Episodes are summarized from the Road Trip to Texas to get the car, through the Full Build, and finally to Burnouts and Field Testing of arguably the most abused 1970 Pontiac GTO ever!
    This compilation overviews each episode in just several minutes and is intended to get new subscribers up to date as well as acquaint folks with the Holey Goat and the Pole Barn Garage channel. This summary of the Holey Goat build does not tell the entire story, so I encourage you binge watch all of the full-length episodes:

I hope you enjoy watching me work through the trials and tribulations as I work to get this Old Goat back on the road and driving again after spending 40 years in a Texas desert and surviving being shot, flooded and generally mistreated.

    I saw this in my feed, and had to click on it. I saw that is was nearly an hour long, and thought "ah, I'll skip the boring stuff, and see what happens at the end." I started the video, and have been GLUED to the screen for the whole thing. Didn't skip a second, and subscribed immediately. And before it was over, I paused it so I could share it with all my friends. This is absolute gold tier entertainment! Very well done, sir! It still baffles me how a 1970 GTO could end up like that in the first place but I suppose it's easy to say that now we're not in 1974 when they were on every street corner. Lol.

    If only they had youtube when I was 17. (now 57) You remind me of me back then. Totaled Monza spider, only about 2 feet tall because a lifted F150 landed on it in a wreck in the snow. With a 262 cu, in, 8500 rpm v8. Buddy said you can have it if you pay the impound fees. $327.00. 72 Vega, left side caved in 2 inches and blown aluminum 4 banger, $50. End result, side caved in V8 Vega with 12.7 eta, 147 mph top end. For $800. Traded straight across for 76' HO Trans Am with blown engine, 243 rear end gears and caved in passenger door. A few parts off another totaled 76 Trans Am and a few engine parts, 167 mph top end Trans am for only $1000 more. I never got around to fixing the bodywork on either one. Those where the days. Love your video!

    FULL Circle! There was a day this car sat new and shiny and someone walked up to it and fell in love with it. They must have smiled all the way home when they drove it off the lot. They drove it with pride but as time moved on they lost the love for it and eventually it was given up on. Just like someone walked up to it for the first time someone walked away from it for the last time and it sat. It was abused and mocked and disrespected and surely was destined to be nothing more than a metal deposit in the earth, but this gave it a new chance to keep doing what it was made to do. People can now walk up to it with a smile just like when it was new. It's quite poetic, really. Now... I am inspired to work on my show car.

    Just want to say that after my beautiful reliable 2003 buick lesabre was totalled taking my kids to school, my wife and I looked for a replacement for 2 months. The very last day before I had to turn the buick over to the insurance (it was still being driven) we found a very cute 2010 ford focus in that cool looking Ford Blue color. The front seats had a lo of ass time in them and were stained but comfortable so the previous owner threw some seat covers on that did not match the car at all. We've grown to like them though. Imagine my surprise to see you've chosen the same covers!! Just thought that needed to be shared! Awesome build, and im thankful to have stumbled across your channel!

    They have scientifically proven that in some large beetles that shouldn't be able to fly, that they actually have asymetrical depressions in their wings, so when in flight the depressed portions allow the air to skim over and this aids in less wind drag...I'm gonna surmise in a controlled experiment.... Jesus! You get my drift... I'll apologize for the science lesson B.s!! Great videos!!

    Really enjoyed this video! Don't take this the wrong way please. There's already a VGG. I'm a big fan too and I can hear the influence all over this. Hopefully more of your personality will come out over time. You don't need to be another Derek.

    • @PoleBarnGarage
      @PoleBarnGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      VGG was influenced by Zip Ties n Bias Plies, and Roadkill. The things you absorb in media, make their way into your habits. That said, Derek and I are cut from much the same cloth. The difference is, you can ask anyone who knows me, this is how I am naturally. It's not an act. Just a Midwestern rural kinda guy
