@nanonoko I think it's awesome that you do these blogs and commentaries. You look at many other pros and they are so full of themselves but it seems you are still the same guy and remain to be grounded. Kudos on your success.
dont make the videos shorter i love they're live and it's very interesting to see how a pro adjust tournaments when they're card dead or something like that....keep it live please :D
i have a general strategy that i adjust accordingly to the players playing and how the games are running and evolving which i think is necessary to adjust to the often changing games
New free tournament videos out now. In case you guys didn't know this video is 3 years old! hahaha. My play is more updated now! 'nanonoko' plays PokerStars WCOOP Event 48 Part 1
nomakym heh yeah sorry i got that feedback! This video is 3 years old and my newer videos are a lot better for audio =) You can also check out my new videos on th-cam.com/users/PSOOfficial
please pass me some $ i am a huge fan of run it up jcarver and nanonoko. fan of your show. please donate some $ pokerstars account: czerryanverr please i just need some $ man..i just made an acccount help me nanonoko
this video has top views because of a reason ;p its cool to follow your life and all but do more videos like this ! It was so helpful just to see how you play and you're naturally a chatty guy so you just explain and analyze everything you do, even if you're not selfconcious about it :) Do more videos like this! (i mean its up to u xD) they really help people that want to get better, to become better. Thanks
I did read some but didn't find them as helpful. Probably depends on what stage you are of the game to determine how helpful some books are. I did read supersystem but i prefer the books on psych like mental game of poker and elements of poker
stopped using it when I started playing on my laptop which was after black friday. i never use it in MTTs because the fields are so big so the sample size is so small
ok thanks alot i think u should make a video of u in one of pokerstars wcoop tournaments just to realy see how the range of starting hands changes in these tournaments.
i am still really curious as to what you folded in the final 13 when you openraised and folded to a tiny minraise after 1 other player flatted behind you. 3bettor had Q5s
I don’t play like that, but mainly when I’m in the pot I do have a decent hand, unlike some (Tony G for instance) I don’t have a massive range, and people know this so I occasionally use that to my advantage and exploit my tight image. Although I have to admit, I don’t do this enough, so there are areas I need to improve, yet I fairly confident in saying I’ve made a profit from poker this year.
Thanks for posting. Question on the A6c hand: why not just open fold w 16bb? In ep, decently aggro table, and sucks if you get 3bet. Cool video nonetheless!
Im the same on pokerstars. I made a spreadsheet tracking all my all ins for the most part of 2012. My AK win rate was 32.66% over approx 2400 all ins. I play low stakes ($1-3) and the scary thing is my win rate is only 57.32% against weaker aces. Ive never had momentum to win MTTS with my stats, even though Ive been profitable for 4yrs in live MTTS
Thanks for the reply. I used to play micro stakes MTT's on Poker Stars, but since i'm in the US that is no longer an option. Looking into maybe Carbon Poker to get back into it. Doesn't seem like theres much traffic there though so i don't know. I'll keep watching your videos as with your success i would be dumb not to watch.
hey man, i always come back to watch this when im on a downswing n on tilt. i know i can be way more successful if i can deal w a bad beat n not go on tilt. please give me some advice randy!
Hi Randy, i would like to ask you a question. how did you become a professional poker player and do you havo tips because its my dream to become a poker player.
25:51 what's this window he opened that allows him to see other people cards after the hand?? is that a program or is it part of the pokerstars software?? how do I get it??
ok, u mean he wasn't really playing at this time but just repeating a video of the game or something? because nobody should be able to see mucked hands during a game
***** First of all the hand went to showdown and were not mucked, he even saw them just 5 seconds before he opened the hand reviewer. Secondly: You can look back on previously dealt hands and situations by clicking the little arrow thingy in the top left corner of the table during a tournament or cash game. It's really useful, especially if you don't use a HUD :)
Hey just one quick question! When you opened J10o UTG weren't you supposed to call that min raise given the odds the pot was laying you? Thanks in advance.
Hi, nano! i'm sorry if this question was already asked (haven't found it) but what software do u use during you online games? Or you have your proper strategy and straight in the theory of big numbers - more games more wins?
hey randy nice video i just want some advice in multitabling i know you do alot... Atm i do 4 tables what you think i should do keep playing small games and increasing the ammout of tables or keep 4 tables and keep raising the stakes as my BR grows? (if thats the case) thank you.
Randy, i noticed in another video you said you learned by trial and error. Did you read any books as well? If so, which one did you like the most? Thanks.
"didn't flop a set" (after you folded 55 from SB) - isn't it true that stars software uses user input in order to calculate what cards will be on flop, i.e. had you called the cards would have been different?
Hey nanonoko! How do you take bad beats? I feel I get a bad beat every time I play online and I promise myself that I never ever want to play online poker again, but then I want to learn it and get good at it! Do you have alot of up and downs yourself? And how did you get an bankroll to live by? Thanks dude! Cheers from Norway!
I just want some insight on how to get past your bad beats.Ive been playing online about 12 hours a day and have never deposited just building my br off of freerolls and forum tournaments.I have done ok and am getting better but I just run into a lot of bad luck.Do you have any advice on avoiding bad beats?A lot of people think online is rigged I dont wanna believe this but it does seem the big stacks do suck out most of the time...ty
hey nanonoko i struggle when playin in tournaments such as 22 dollars or lower because the general skill level of the players is weaker and i find it harder to read players this is why i do better in the bigger tournaments. whats your advice to this ??
So you do not use the statistic aggregating software during your games and just guided by your personal game/player "feel" correlating it to your strategy? Thanks for the answer. It was pretty interesting to see you playing in Big Game. Best regards and good luck from Russia! :)
please pass me some $ i am a huge fan of run it up jcarver and nanonoko. fan of your show. please donate some $ pokerstars account: czerryanverr please i just need some $ man..i just made an acccount help me nanonoko
Coming from a professional investor, bad beats are part of the game, the best thing you can do is to take your full bank roll and divide it at least by five. That way you have at least 5 bankrolls to withstand for bad beats. So you are only using a portion each cash game of your total bankroll, never risk your entire bank roll on one hand unless of course you have the nuts! ;)
What's a good program to use on pokerstars that shows like pot odds and odds of winning hand? I see that u use a program I just don't know which one it is?
that's more of a personal preference question tbh. but if you think you're doing well at your current stake, feel free to move up. i wouldn't do more tables than you can handle and only you can gauge that.
yeah raise/folding with a small stack is not that great of an option as you said. be careful to put things in an absolute sense though or you run this risk of being extremely predictable. imagine if someone knows you never raise/fold, then they will never reshove vs you light knowing you will always call it off. never said i played great just giving insight as to how i played this 8 months ago when i think i did note that that i'm still learning and i still am as of this day. hope all is well!
Randy when you put your video on 480p it gets much more worse than it is on 360p u should take a look at that, it's the first time I see that this happens to any of your vids..
@nanonoko
I think it's awesome that you do these blogs and commentaries. You look at many other pros and they are so full of themselves but it seems you are still the same guy and remain to be grounded. Kudos on your success.
Top man, a lot of respect for uploading and helping people out.
For your information guys, now I do live streaming on twitch at www.twitch.tv/nanonoko
keep up the long videos :) its so much better to see a full final table then highlights !
Thanks for this vid , it can help alot to see what a pro thinks in certain situations. keep the good work up!
Great video Nanonoko, I really enjoy it. I'm quite surprised didn't see HM or PT.
dont make the videos shorter i love they're live and it's very interesting to see how a pro adjust tournaments when they're card dead or something like that....keep it live please :D
i have a general strategy that i adjust accordingly to the players playing and how the games are running and evolving which i think is necessary to adjust to the often changing games
Randy, I have to say I really like your ramblings. You are a very talented young man.
New free tournament videos out now. In case you guys didn't know this video is 3 years old! hahaha. My play is more updated now!

You should make more of these Randy and keep up the good work
Best regards William : ) !
Randy, its not boring, cause its cool too see you making good and solid decisions, fun is not only when u get top 10 hand type and double up:)
I second RizzenEsc. Your vids are awesome and anymore commentary ones would be great
Randy there is an option in tableninja to count your blinds so you can allways see how many blinds you have on the table
You're a true hero Randy. Well done.
You are good player and idol of many online players, so you should make more videos like this one. Respect from Macedonia.
Humility!!! nowadays it´s very difficult to find a guy like you, keep going ;D
Bring on part II !
i like your thought process with each hand u put a lot of thought into it
how the fuck does he do it on 24 tables though lol
mawller he just waits till he gets a good hand and goes all in, and folds everything else
your welcome!
it varies depending on the amount of entries. When ive made the final table it took a very long time, cant remember exactly but +6 hours
stopped using one for awhile now. laptop cant handle it and got used to not using it
depends on the tournament but something like this probably 5 hours? Some sunday bigger ones take longer
you played terrific this final table randy!
nice vid, waiting for part two!
I did read some but didn't find them as helpful. Probably depends on what stage you are of the game to determine how helpful some books are. I did read supersystem but i prefer the books on psych like mental game of poker and elements of poker
Nononoko u r da man bud! Cool as a fan and I enjoy listening to you. ty!
Loved the vid!! Keep em coming!!:))
stopped using it when I started playing on my laptop which was after black friday. i never use it in MTTs because the fields are so big so the sample size is so small
glad to hear sir!
ok thanks alot i think u should make a video of u in one of pokerstars wcoop tournaments just to realy see how the range of starting hands changes in these tournaments.
Did you happen to record the entire tournament? I would love to see your play in the early and mid levels.
thanks for the words! appreciate it
PART 2 is UP!!!!
Sweet entertaining video!
i am still really curious as to what you folded in the final 13 when you openraised and folded to a tiny minraise after 1 other player flatted behind you. 3bettor had Q5s
Randy, i think you are one of the best. keep it going. Great video, i hope you will reach even higher ranks in... angry birds ;)
epic quote, "you cant avoid bad beats, you can only adjust your mind to accept bad beats happen" - nanonoko, 9/20/12
"don't be results oriented!"
"jack ten has really not done me well."
not sure which hand you're talking about, but it's possible? don't always think in absolutes though
@thepezisangry thanks for the info! was using some new software and guess i gotta practice w / it =]
I don’t play like that, but mainly when I’m in the pot I do have a decent hand, unlike some (Tony G for instance) I don’t have a massive range, and people know this so I occasionally use that to my advantage and exploit my tight image. Nice video here man!!! GOOD JOB!!!
Subbed, nice video man
Thanks for posting. Question on the A6c hand: why not just open fold w 16bb? In ep, decently aggro table, and sucks if you get 3bet. Cool video nonetheless!
Hey Nanonoko, I don't understand your fold of pocket 2s after the 27 minute mark. Super tight fold, care to explain your reasoning (or anyone else)?
nano gotta post some of your scoop tourneys! hope all is well!
never played one of those before, i imagine it's same concepts as a mtt
Im the same on pokerstars. I made a spreadsheet tracking all my all ins for the most part of 2012. My AK win rate was 32.66% over approx 2400 all ins. Hi Randy, i would like to ask you a question.
how did you become a professional poker player and do you havo tips because its my dream to become a poker player.
Hi nano, one question: What it your advice to become an succesful online poker player? Thank's and good luck
25:51 what's this window he opened that allows him to see other people cards after the hand?? is that a program or is it part of the pokerstars software?? how do I get it??
it says in right top "exit replay" so i gues its the hand history
ok, u mean he wasn't really playing at this time but just repeating a video of the game or something? because nobody should be able to see mucked hands during a game
Micke Strand right, my bad
Hey just one quick question! When you opened J10o UTG weren't you supposed to call that min raise given the odds the pot was laying you? Thanks in advance.

Randy, i noticed in another video you said you learned by trial and error. Did you read any books as well? If so, which one did you like the most? Thanks.
Thought the A6 suited was either a fold/shove spot? little surprised to see you open for min raise with only 16bbs.
that was the best advice at the right time for me. stay / be professional.
"didn't flop a set" (after you folded 55 from SB) - isn't it true that stars software uses user input in order to calculate what cards will be on flop, i.e. had you called the cards would have been different?
Why don't you use a HUD? Do you use one when you multi-table?
Hey nanonoko! How do you take bad beats? I feel I get a bad beat every time I play online and I promise myself that I never ever want to play online poker again, but then I want to learn it and get good at it! Do you have alot of up and downs yourself? And how did you get an bankroll to live by? Thanks dude! Cheers from Norway!
@KowboyCa i've used camtasia or screenomatic
thanks for the upload
I just want some insight on how to get past your bad beats.Ive been playing online about 12 hours a day and have never deposited just building my br off of freerolls and forum tournaments.I have done ok and am getting better but I just run into a lot of bad luck.Do you have any advice on avoiding bad beats?A lot of people think online is rigged I dont wanna believe this but it does seem the big stacks do suck out most of the time...ty
@Zeckadelic it's here!
Are you sure jack high flush at 27:10? :D. Love the video, you play real tight like me, maybe I'm not crazy after all!!
I love how he always says 'betting for fun'
What's the software you use for the little webcam box? I've wanted to get one of those boxes in vids I've made in the past.
hey nanonoko i struggle when playin in tournaments such as 22 dollars or lower because the general skill level of the players is weaker and i find it harder to read players this is why i do better in the bigger tournaments. whats your advice to this ??
So this is the final table? So he will win the money shown in the right depending on his placing?
oy nanonoko, im going to start playing real money pretty soon. What's a good method of depositing and cashing out?? Check's? Visa?
do more of these plzzz i like watching
haven't used one in awhile + laptop cant handle it
So you do not use the statistic aggregating software during your games and just guided by your personal game/player "feel" correlating it to your strategy? Thanks for the answer.
It was pretty interesting to see you playing in Big Game. Best regards and good luck from Russia! :)
solid video Nano
@livingstones there is no tableninja version for mac i think.
thanks for sharing
Hi randy,
Was wondering what Heads up display you would recommend and if you know if partypoker allow it? Would appreciate a response!
TBB
I don't know much about partypoker but I use pokertracker4

Your way too down to earth. Love it ahahahah

Can anyone explain to me what a hud exactly is? Is that the extra numbers you see on pokerstars?
@Joaogamez2 i don't remember lol it was probably like a couple hundred at most
PART 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG
What's a good program to use on pokerstars that shows like pot odds and odds of winning hand? I see that u use a program I just don't know which one it is?
PokerTracker 4 is a good one or you can input it for free on webbased page like www.twodimes.net
ups and downs happen to everyone. you have to come to terms that it is part of the game so it'll be easier to get pass it
This guy is a true grinder
that's more of a personal preference question tbh. but if you think you're doing well at your current stake, feel free to move up. i wouldn't do more tables than you can handle and only you can gauge that.
@nanonoko yaaaay hooray, high five!!
good stuff nanonoko

can u make a video of multitabling cashgame? ^^
Hey, NANO! You are inspiration to other grinders!!! ;) Best of luck, and I hope 1 day I will be 20% as good as you :)) Or maybe 100%? :)))
Upload a video of you playing a final table like this please, you are obviously a poker pro...
this might be a dumb question but were you placing for real money
Yes I can see that when you have a good hand you usually win and when you have a bad hand you usually lose so now I am ready.
