- In this video, I demonstrate how to reset a dishwasher. Occasionally, you may need to reset your dishwasher because you started the wash prematurely or perhaps you decided that you want a different type of wash cycle. So in this video, I show you how to reach your objective of resetting your dishwasher.

Thanks for your video. My dishwasher wouldn’t drain. I cleaned all the filters, and checked the drain hose. No problems there, and dreaded buying a new washer, then found your video, and I had no idea of a reset function. Did what you showed and it worked ! Ran the washer 3 different times after just to check it, and drained each and every time.

My kenmore dishwasher has a cancel button in case you choose the wrong options. But we experienced a power outtage yesterday. After power was restored the dishwasher would make noise but not move any water, and the buttons would not light up. It would do this by just selecting any button. Didn't even have to hit start. I was researching a new dishwasher until I came across this video. I held the start button on my dishwasher for 5 seconds and now it is back to normal! Thank you, you save me a few hundred dollars.

Oh my goodness! You have stopped me from having a meltdown! This literally happened to me a few minutes ago. I had this odd upside down number 4 and and a 10 after it. Thought the computer thingy was broken. I tried hitting different combinations together but nothing. Turned it off and on several times. Nada. I kept hitting the delay button thinking it would cycle back to zero delay.... but when I ended up with the weird number 4 plus 24 I figured that wasn't going to work! I can ill afford to get it replaced so came hunting on YT for help and found you within seconds! It's working now, thank goodness! And I saw it, it was there all the time, right in front of the "start" button. The " reset 3 sec" words!

Thanks, Pinto. I'm getting an I4 error code on my brand-new Frigidaire dish washer. I believe the bottom pan is full of water but I'm not sure how to remove it. I don't want to just start removing screws. The float switch is up and stopping the unit. Can you advise how to remove the drain pan on this unit? Thanks

Note: If you're looking for how to reset a quiet partner i, the one that doesn't have as many buttons (because there are several versions), push any 3 buttons from the left corner on, three times (1,2,3, 1,2,3 and 1,2,3) and it'll reset itself.

It means that there's some sort of an issue

Just bought a Frigidaire dishwasher, used once and now start button won’t stop flashing. Tried unplugging but still flashing and then turns off after I hit start. Any ideas?

@@DIYPintoI fixed it! I decided to start pressing the start button several times with the door open thinking that maybe the connection between it and the system wasn’t working. After I did it everything worked! Thank you.

Why does Samsung tell you to go to your breaker box and shut the breaker off for 5 minutes to reset the dishwasher? The dishwasher has the 3 second reset feature like the video shows. Anyone know?

Maybe for when the program gets hung up. Then the reset won’t work. (Happened to me.) These things are over-engineered, IMO.

Logik dishwasher LDW2PB19N did not finde anny reset error code ED it means unknown combination contact a repairman what the manual says I don't intend to do it on a dishwasher that is over 3 years old, it's cheaper to buy a new one then

@@DIYPinto Yes. My exact model number didn't match the one on my manual. I felt it had to do with a safety lock but pushing the buttons the manual said didn't work so I typed my exact number into Google and found a video showing which two buttons had to be pressed simultaneously to disengage the safety lock. Whew! I had called GE first and they said a technician could come out for $175 and that motivated me to keep searching the internet. GE should have been able to tell me to try the safety lock but they didn't. Not very nice of them. 😕

It's bad, dishwashers at all, I had one for Costco, before In 3 years broken down 6 times it's repaired and replacement most of parts but not working probably (water from kitchen sink go inside the dishwasher ) I paid for 3 years extending warranty with Allstate after 2 years manufacturer warranty Allstate refused repair
Don't buy this brand for every body
