    Thank you so much for show me where the filter is I have a 165 and trying to figure out where the filter is before I start taking things apart and you're the only one that has a video that showed where the hydraulic pump filter is thank you again

      @@BundyBearsShed tell me if I'm doing this right I do have a 165 Massey Ferguson it's a 1964 model I'm hoping is not a major project it has a front end loader on it I bought it off from a guy that has been sitting for 3 to 5 months' the major problem is two things my steering and the hydraulics both front end loader and three point hitch is very slow lifting up and now it doesn't want to lift up but only sometimes and it still lift up and down slow do you think it is the filter to the hydraulic pump being that it has been sitting up for a while and can I just go from the side instead of taking the top off thank you for your time

      @@scottyboy7804 did the cleaning of the filter fix the slow lifting hydraulic? I have a 1964 MF 65 and the the 3 point lifts slow, I was looking for a video that shows how to remove it and ran across this great video. Mine has the multiplier so it is probably a little different getting the top off, but I'll try going through the side plate first.

    As you were saying that the tractor was used for pumping so it would have had a belt pulley fitted to the PTO. The plate may have been to do with the bodgy fitting of the belt pulley.

      G Day Mal, It was running a 4" pump on a skid with a PTO shaft when I saw it. Lucky it didnt come adrift.

    Just picked up a MF230 with the Perkins, and the 3 point is weak. Not minimizing your talent, but this looks like a manageable project I can tackle. Thanks from Texas.

    Awesome unfo thanks. What would say if you are operating the up and down and after a few hours there is some leak down, is it more probable the pump is causing or the 31/8" piston causing the leake down. Thanks for what you're doing

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most likely just the wear and tear in these older tractors. If you have the top off you may as well do everything.

    I can’t figure out if I have an MK1, MK2, or MK3 pump. Filter faces down with horizontal pressure relief valve. Going on a 1978 MF 230. The original pump is stamped 1870079M1. Any help would be appreciated. Your videos are helping me tremendously!

    thank you sir. i have a mf 133 and i have 2 questions 1) why if i lift up my rotavator and then turn off my tractor,stop engine, after 10 minutes the rotavator is down looks like the hydraulic system can not hold the rotavator up. 2) why every time mostly in the morning(cold tractor) the hydraulic pump delays to lift my rotavator,and after the tractor is hot,warm, after 10 minutes works fine. thank you very much

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your tractor should not hold it up for 10 minutes as the hydraulic piston rings have gaps in them. So that is normal. If you go back to 15w-40 oil in the back end the cold lift problem will get better too.

    To clarify my question , do i need to split the 185s to do the same job or can i do it like you and pull the pto, ??mine is elaking anyway so i might need to do that anyway

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is not multipower you can do the same as this, if it is multipower you need to split it.

    I'm currently putting a pump in a massey ferguson 50. But on mine the coupler at the front of the hydraulic pump is on the shaft of the transmission. Not on the hydraulic pump. I cannot get it to move to put it on the pump and pin it. Is it made that way on the 50 or is it just froze to that shaft coming out of the transmission?

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never seen them like that it is usually just the split pin from memory.
