"What" is still in my top 3 favorite title tracks. It's heavy for a Korean release and I love the syncopation in the second half of the chorus. Story-wise this is the first time they wear non-uniform outfits, which I believe is because they lost Yoohyeon (or at least her spirit) and are kind of broken. You can also see them search for her alone, not as a group. For me this is a song about the loss of a loved one and what that does to a group or family. I might be reaching, but this is the meaning for me.
"Piri" is the last part of the Nightmare Arc (their Japanese release "Breaking out" can be seen as an alternative ending). In "What", the girls have been searching for Yoohyeon, and here they find each other again, but in the end they are all stuck in the white dimension. A Piri is a Korean flute that was used historically to signal danger, and that is what Yoohyeon does here when the members arrive. She is the one capturing them one by one, to rescue them and bring them to safety. They are together in the end, but still stuck. Dreamcatcher don't do happy endings. 😉

This was supposed to be release at 6pm but f it haha I will react to the last video (the Japanese one) tomorrow, I'll finish this arc on my birthday that's crazy haha I'll get into the performances and full albums of this Arc through out the weekend and hopefully start the next Arc next week.
Piri is the end of nightmare saga, but technically there is still 1 more MV, wich is Breaking Out.
In What the members where trying to recover Yoohyeon's soul, and as we can see in Piri, the whole group ended up trapped trying to recue her. But in Breaking Out we get an alternative ending, some people even consider Breaking Out the actual ending, so pls check it out.

Your analysis of the storyline isn’t bad! And these last two parts are a lot more abstract. What takes place sometime in the future after You and I, where Yoohyeon was trapped in the nightmare world. In this one, the members are basically talking about how they can all see her reaching out to them in their dreams, but they’re unable to actually find and save her still.
Something to know about Piri is that a Piri is a Korean woodwind instrument that was historically used to signal danger. When Yoohyeon finds and blows it in the beginning to the MV, she summons the rest of the girls to the nightmare world, but they’re all separated. The hand reaching out to them is actually Yoohyeon’s-finding them and bringing them to safety with her. If you watch again, you’ll notice that all the members appear in shadowy, scary rooms until that hand reaches out to them. After that, they only appear in the white room where Yoohyeon was in the beginning. And in the end, you were right-they’re finally all together again, but still trapped in the nightmare realm. That’s why Breaking Out is kind of considered an “extended ending,” because as you might be able to guess from the title, it alludes to them finally being able to break out of that world.
Your first instinct about Siyeon being the blonde was right! Some tricks to help identify her are that she has a very heart-shaped face and very prominent jawline. I’ll leave more descriptions of the members below, but eventually it might be fun to react to a guide or the This Is series to help you get to know them and what they’ve looked like through different eras!
Jiu: Very soft, rounded features and a high, delicate voice. She had yellow hair in What (she was the girl standing among the umbrellas looking up at Yoohyeon) and red hair in Piri.
Sua: Has strong, somewhat elongated features and a prominent nose and chin. Her voice is very powerful but also melodic and somewhat breathy. She and Siyeon both have wavy brown hair in What, but Sua’s hair is down. She was also in the front during the opening dance formation. In Piri, she has the pink hair with bangs.
Siyeon: Like I mentioned above, look for the prominent jawline, pointed chin, and wide cheekbones-a very heart or Diamond-shaped face. She also has very intense eyes that the fandom will call “wolf-like” since that’s her representative animal. She’s almost always the one you hear doing the harmonies and ad libs and belts behind other member’s lines, and she’s a true vocal chameleon. In What, she had the wavy brown hair pulled in a ponytail or double braids. In Piri, she was the blonde.
Handong: Has a long oval face and a unique covered tone to her voice. In What she had the neon orange hair, and in Piri she had the dirty blonde hair.
Yoohyeon: she has a more angular face with a squared jaw and kind of a natural pouty look. Like Siyeon, she does a lot of the versatile backing parts in songs, but her voice sits a little higher and has a little bit of a whine to it. She had the grey hair in What and the bright pink hair in Piri.
Dami: you should be able to recognize her face and voice easiest of all the members, but she’s got small features and a very oval face. She had the purple bob in What and the short hair in Piri and is almost always the one rapping.
Gahyeon: Especially in these earlier MVs you’ll notice she has a very soft, round face because she’s the youngest. She also has a natural upturn to her lips. She has a nasal tone and a very pretty, melodic voice and also sometimes raps. Piri was actually her rap debut! She was the one in the hat. And in What, she had the black-brown hair that was pulled back on one side.
