As someone who adore’s Nightwish, Epica and Within Temptation, Dreamcatcher stole my heart and pulled me down the K-pop rabbit hole… no regrets whatsoever!
As a huge Dreamcatcher fan I consider this song the beginning of "Second Era" Dreamcatcher. A decided departure from their previous singles, aiming for an added dramatic element. Every true DC fan knows this song. As always your reaction was fun to watch.
Dreamcatcher has a lot of different styles musically but rock can always be counted in. At least in their title tracks or singles. Very talented girls and their songwriters are very good. If you're interested in more I'd suggest, as an introduction, their Bonvoyage MV, Piri MV or Chase Me MV. Good balance of K-pop and rock. Chase Me was their first song and it still holds up. They've been at it for years and never fail to impress. Great reaction as usual and love the new intro!

They are a very unique group in K-Pop as all of their title tracks and some of their b-sides have rock and metal influences, though to what degree they are present varies from song to song. Some of their Japanese releases are straight metal, like Endless Night, No More, and Don't Light My Fire (if you like Symphonic Metal, you'll probably want to listen to this one). They also do a lot of experimentation with different genres and with genre bending so you'll find a lot of variation in their discography. R&B, EDM, Trap, Trance, Electronic, Jazz, Reggae, Ballads, Rock, Metal, Pop, Funk, and many other genres can be found in their catalog. Enjoy!
I love this group. Glad you seemed to like it. I did think it was funny that you started with one of their calmer songs. If you get the chance you should listen to their first song "Chase Me". Much more up beat.

They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 Deja Vu is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a beautiful, fragile ballad that kicks your teeth down your throat in the chorus. It is extra difficult to sort out, because it tells the story from two perspectives. You know how even evil people think they are the good guys? This is reflected here. One perspective is Yoohyeon's, who gets corrupted right in the beginning. She thinks JiU is bad (does not want to share power) and backstabs her and kills, imprisons or banishes the other members so that she can rule alone. The other perspective is reality, where we can see JiU be kind to Yoohyeon, but she gets killed for it. I believe this is a commentary on the different perspectives people can have about the same event. The lyrics seem to hint at an abusive relationship, where there are usually two perspectives as well, and the abuser finds excuses to justify their actions, while the abused find themselves in an endless Deja Vu.
Please check out more of Dreamcatcher, their main genre is Rock in almost all their 13MV so far. But every now and then they also produce another genre of music from Jazz, Reagee, EDM etc

You seem to have picked a copy without subtitles, they are about. So far all their title tracks have subbed copies, they also don't seem to give copyright strikes for their own sourced stuff. Dreamcatcher are from a small to mid-sized company & are happy to get the word out! DC title tracks have a plot & usually have a story arc over several releases so being able to follow what is going on will help you. "Deja Vu" & BEcause are stand-alone tracks. BEcause is Dreamcatcher doing a cute summer song (The album title is Summer Holiday), But it is Dreamcatcher!!

Dreamcatcher are 7 members. Any other girls in the videos are dancers. The girls use vocals only in the group format. Siyeon and Handong can play piano and Handong does play the piano in the mv on her solo song from the second DC full album. K-Pop is more than just about songs and vocals.
