I was looking at going with a fiberglass front... but you have inspired me... !! I just went and cut a piece out of my neighbors Nissan when he was gone.. LOL
About 10 years ago a body guy in the next town over made two of these for a 65 stang. He kept one. I bought the other one. So much better then the fiberglass one.
Love it every car needs a little custom Touch I would definitely do a grill countersunk so it’s not visible but will protect the condenser when you suck up a bird 👍👍
Wow! That came out nice! Not too much, not too little, looks like it was supposed to be like that from the factory. Some home modifications and aftermarket fabrications can easily go overboard and end up looking absolutely gawdy. This modification was just right. Blends right in, doesn't stick out like a sore thumb and this was a clever way to repurpose old, extra parts.
Realy realy love your job daddy... Iam from indonesia but You are my inspiration to do DIY(do it your self), and now i have 5k subscriber in my tiny garage. :), Thank you so much daddy🙏🙏🙏
I watch you do and make things on these projects. The time laps makes me wonder how long it takes some of the operations. I am repairing rust damage on a 65 Mustang Coupe that was just a bit better than the Brooklyn Pony. Right now, I'm working on the right side sail panel and the bottom of the rear window opening along with preparing for new quarter panels. Everything happens slowly. It's a challenge, and I am enjoying it all.
Depends on what I'm doing. The time lapse has a 2 second interval. I did edit out some of the parts where there was nothing going on in front of the camera. This valance modification took a few hours. I had the idea rolling around in my head for weeks though.
This is such a cool look. Im getting race aprons for both of my mustangs, but the way you did it makes it look semi stock, but with the cool opening. Oh, I want to ask you about vintage air on your next live stream. A vintage air modification!!
Great job. Very nice touch. One suggestion for overall look when done, is black out the new shiny A/C pipes so that the grill opening gives best look when visually taking in the whole appearance of the front end. I've seen some otherwise nice looking Mustangs where they painted the radiator support in the color of the car, and it was visible through the grill. I like a 'dark mouth opening look.' It highlights best that good looking Mustang front end. My 2 cents. : )
unfortunately, here in New Jersey, we are required to have two license plates. Otherwise, something similar for my 65 would be nice. If the car ever gets finished that is.
If it were my car, I think I'd either a) like to seet he opening be wider or b) perhaps mount foglights on the sides of the new opening to more effectively mimic the width of the grill opening for better symmetry. But it's not my car, time or money going into it and it still looks better than the license plate mount!
be nice to cut the bottom of the bumper where the license plate was and and weld it straight like the top blend it and rechrome it so the bumper was the same top and bottom just a thought

That lower Valance looks AWESOME Barry!!!!
Looks great, nice clean opening and it adds a ton of character.

That front bumper scoop really looks great. Great idea and great customizing that front. You now have one of a kind.
I Like it!!! I would add matching main grille mesh to the bottom. Good Job.
Outstanding, God gives some men skill not easily matched. Really appreciate the sharing.
Thanks!
Looks great Barry.. might be a market for these.. something to think about..
Can't wait to see Jade when finished.
Looks really nice and compliments the lines of the grille opening. Smart use of scrap sheet metal too.

Nice! Perfect place for oil cooler
The key is - YOU like it - I agree with you - I think it looks cool
Looks really good. Now I have an idea for lights but it involves a trip to the bone yard and some part scavenging from an MD80...
I was following the progress of the valance on Instagram and it came out nice.
That first time lapse was one your coolest ones to date. I love the look.
That would look sick with a chin spoiler on it too. Super aggressive look !
I'd be happy with that too!
It could happen.
Wow that makes it pop and anyone with these year mustangs it would definitely and to the looks thumbs up 👍👍👍

Man that looks great!
Really nice modifikation 😁. But if i could chose i would have made it a little bit wider 😎
Looks really good! Maybe even some chrome trim around it? Overall really nice outcome.
I like it...but some states require the front license plate😁🤷♂️
This looks so cool

I could have watched an hour of this.

Ok looks great and gets me thinking but where would you put license plate. Mandatory in Illinois
Not required in Ga.
Amazing skills
Nice work, what do you think about the Fiberglass Front Nose Shelby styled?
I like them. Just not a fan of fiberglass itself.
Love this mate
I LIKE IT A Lot !! But about front license plate?
Not required in Ga.
I would buy it!
hi barry looking good

Where’s the convertible??
On the lift. On standby.
What was your final dimensions of your opening?
