The lawyer stated an opinion that's not a bombshell. He never heard those words come out of Trumps mouth and according to the FEC (You know the experts on election law) its not a campaign finance violation because Trump has paid off nuisance claims for years and for it to be a violation it has to be something Trump would only do because of the campaign.
So since Trumps been doing it for years it's not a violation. There's a reason not even the Biden DOJ, who has no problem trying to put their opponent in prison during an electio , didn't want to touch this case with a 10ft pole
You're right and the FTC investigated it and dropped the case cause they said no crime was committed . But they did fine the DNC , and the Clinton campaign for campaign violations.

It IS illegal to get other people (the NE) to pay hundreds of thousands to suppress stories for campaign advantage (the doorman & mistress stories) and not declare it as a campaign contribution. Why ELSE would a newspaper buy stories about a NY playboy in order to bury them?
It IS illegal to raid a business (inc, ltd, trust etc) to pay for your personal or political (ie personal career) expenses unrelated to the business. People would still keep paying their rent if the CE has an affair.
It IS illegal to lie about the money extracted from the business being business expenses or business legal fees. Expenses are for things that benefit *the business*. The entire point of making an inc, ltd, trust or whatever is to separate personal from business finances.
There was not even a legal retainer or contract for Cohen in this matter, so how was it even an expense? And the fact that he used his personal finances, (took out a loan in his home!) this betrays the campaign urgency. and effort to disguise the payment = consciousness of guilt. Cohen to be reimbursed more than double - via Trump’s Inc’s business finance officer - because disguising it as income shot him into a higher tax bracket, and to repay loan interest, since Trump tried to stiff him for months.

There are ways courts deal with mentally disturbed defendants such as Trump who can't stay in their seats, go to sleep, interfere with witnesses, jurors or other court personnel, and other disruptions of the proceedings. There is a possibility that the judge may impose restrictions on Trump while in the courtroom. He can be removed or bound and gagged and removed from the courtroom.
