Well, we are all tired of him. However, as he is trying to overthrow democracy and install himself as dictator for life like Putin, we have to pay attention to what he and his billionaire friends are attempting. Putin did it to the democracy in Russia. It needs to be discussed, and planned must be made for how to prevent him. Looking away because we are tired of the toxic narcissist won't solve the problem.

I’ve thought of this thing in terms of a ball game for a while. Here’s my play by play: All the players have showered and gone home, the lights are out, the sprinklers are on. Visiting player/manager, djt’s team lost 19 - 2, dropping their record 10 games below .500, they committed six errors. He’s still arguing a not-very-close play at second base (for the third out in the second inning). Djt pitched another complete game loss, (his 60th straight, after his offense gave him an early 2-0 lead. He hit ten batters (well, nine and the opposing third base coach), threw dozens of wild pitches, and got into a bench-clearing brawl with his own catcher, who quit the team and walked out in the fifth inning.
Most of US would love to know the game was played Fair & Square. No cheating!!

I hope Trump's behavior during trial can be taken into consideration at sentencing such that he receives at least some prison time rather than immediate probation. Even a week would be a huge step to show that he can be treated as others would be treated. Of course, I'd prefer much more.
I wouldn't expect prison or probation. House arrest seems a lot more likely. He's extremely low risk to flee, and it's a first (proven) offense.
it won't be, unless he is corrected by the judge, who I think is afraid of what his supporters will do to him and his family.

Justice is slow, frustrating, but it IS taking place. One fine day, Trump will stand before the judge and be sentenced--very likely to some place of confinement. His life is over.
Difficult to counter your point. Hope is all that's left. Reason, fairness and justice has already left the building where DJT is concerned.
It depends how long the appeal takes, give it a month? I'm not sure. If the appeal is rejected or denied on decision then I'd presume that's it. All that would need to be done is schedule a reporting date to start the prison term.

Harry, in NY court how soon is sentencing required to take place? In federal, it's 70 days, although that rarely happens.

Nah. Weiselberg would have been as bad a witness for the prosecution as TFG would be for his own defense.
All it takes is one juror to save him. There’s a high probability Trump will walk. Even if he’s convicted, I’m not convinced he’ll be jailed.
I'm betting on a conviction for the business fraud but a "not guilty" for the election fraud, so not felonies, and he walks away scott free.
If there isn't a unanimous verdict, it'll be declared a mistrial and the prosecution can request a retrial.
Ignorance is no excuse in the eyes of the law.
What happens if he is found guilty?
He will appeal.
Nothing like the average US citizen would face, that much is certain.

Nothing at all! Trump won’t spend a day in prison no matter how much you pray, what these media sites tell you, what your parents tell you, etc. If you have been paying attention, you would see that no one is really gonna lock Trump up. 😉 Now we have a debate to look forward too!

Analysis of the timing may be off. If the defense can't start their case immediately, Merchan might send the jury home for Thursday and move to arguments on the jury instructions immediately.
Another point to bear in mind is that Merchan isn't 'off' on Wednesday, he is holding hearings for a different set of cases on the mental health court. So, Merchan can send the case to the jury on Tuesday and the jury can deliberate through Wed while Merchan is doing other the other stuff.

Trump is scheduled ON THURSDAY EVENING (unless that has changed) to be at a fundraising dinner in St. Paul, MN with RepublicanTom Emmer, the current House Whip. The event is not far from the airport. I guess if he goes to the commencement, he'll get Emmer to delay the start time, with lengthy coctail hour. (Local affiliates have been saying Thursday evening.)
If they still go in alphabetical order in handing out the diplomas, trump has a long wait.
Time for law to come to bear fruit: there is no reason why this person should receive any special treatment. He is just another citizen, like all of us. The fact that anyone gives this person any leeway is an insult to the constitution and to the principles of what the USA "supposedly" stands for.
Has no priors so might get probation. A guilty verdict will do, but he really should go to prison.
