It's amazing how easily the old rotor assembly came off the spindle! No one on TH-cam shows the true hell it can be to pull these.

You should also consider replacing the loaded strut at this point. That one is broke and collapsed at the base. I got KYB from AutoZone and am very happy with it! I have a 2WD but got the 4WD loaded strut to give a 1.5in lift (don't ever put a lift block on a 4WD loaded strut when using one on a 2WD).

Mine, 06 Lariat, had a vibration upon braking and rotors had ridges. My 36 mm nut had a retainer ring and Carter key. Rotors were not able to be turned and meet legal specs. One caliper had a chipped piston. So replaced both front calipers with premium floating dual piston coated rotors($65 each), including new semi metallic silentguard premium pads and new hardware, two new 36 mm locking thread nuts at $25 each ( ouch) torqued to 295 ft lbs, and reinstalled retainer rings and Carter keys over the nuts. I understand the retainer rings and Carter keys aren't necessary with these type nuts. But opted to put them on anyway to be extra sure they don't come loose. Replaced both front rotors with premium NAPA COATED rotors as well . Bled all 4 calipers and capped of fluid. Vibration gone, better quicker braking response. Little grunt when braking first 20 or so miles then cleared up. Tire Air psi was little low due to temperature drop here. Filled to 40 psi. Good time to inspect ball joints , arms, sway bar links as well. Couple days later did oil and filter change. I prefer Castrol Edge full synthetic 5W20 high mileage oil and always Motorcraft OEM filter. Cool video.

Very well presented. Too bad about the noise from the landscaper. Keep up the great work. Cheers and 73

That's crazy that the hub nut was that loose. I gotta do the pads and rotors on my F-150, just waiting for the parts to come from RA.

Nice. Will save this for future reference.

Even though those pads were relatively new they must have had grooves worn into them, pads are cheap I would have just put new pads on.

They had been on for 1-2 weeks. They did not want buy new pads again

When you removed the nut with no trouble whatsoever, it scared the s out of me. I've seen vehicles broken down on the road with wheels popped off.

Do you need to put on any Grease on the spindle before installing the rotor?

    Thanks for the video....
Does it normally feel easier to put the spindle nut on compared to removing it? I used a torque wrench to get it to 296 ft lb but but felt almost effortless.
Also, i'm getting steering wheel vibration and turning to right at highway speed. No vibration on braking even at high speed. What could it be?

Bad wheel bearings or inadequate lubrication of the bearings could cause it

They're brand new front rotor+bearing assembly. I thought they're sealed. Where should I lubricate them? Thanks
