Apocalypse Dreams is a legitimate miracle. this song is like Claire De Lune. a gift that ascending down from some higher order by some divine intervention, through Kevin Parker's thoughts and maybe a joint or two
nope it wasn't. Back then when you posted this, the best renditions were both the Live Versions one and the one from Morning Becomes Eclectic @ KCRW (2013). Check these out!
Deep purple live in Tokyo is the gold standard for live music. I am a tame impale fan though. I enjoy playing my synths, but I don’t get this sound ofcourse 😢😢 😂😂
Easily one of the greatest bands of the moment. A band that makes me proud to be making music in the 21st century. A band that reminds us our generation will not be forgot. 'Lonerism' is so futuristic, the world doesn't know what's hit it yet.
it almost feels like kevin sings apocalypse dreams with slightly more passion than usual in this performance. also, i love how much the bass shines here!
I wish Kev's mic settings were always like this live. It's perfect. Most of the performances I've seen around TH-cam, you could barely make out his vocals.
Ken Roberts he's sill using the VE20 here... almost a rare instance cause he switched to the roland space echo when he toured lonerism. this is an exception
While Lonerism is my favorite album of the discography I don’t know if I’d call it Tame Impala’s irrefutable golden age, both Currents and Slow Rush are really cool and innovative. And as far as we know the best is yet to come.
If The Beatles and Pink Floyd blended together with some modern groove, this would be it!!! And I fucking love it!! Also the fact that a lot of times his voice sounds exactly like John Lennon!
The new sound is actually kind of a combination of Lonerism and Currents based on what I've heard on the teaser song. Don't expect much of it though. Kevin is mostly going for that lush dream pop sound. But if sounds a little bit more polished and more retro infused version of Currents.
I have eight hundred albums and listened perhaps three times as many albums, and I can say that this album is in the best 5%. I was afraid that they arnt being able to play these masterpiece live but they managed... For me it will bee next step to play entire album as Pink Floyd did with their Wall ...
Kev and his band mates are awesome! This video proves their true talent without all the glitter and fireworks that often accompany their huge shows. I never thought I’d live to see such a talented band as those who performed in the 70s. They are the whole package! Thanks TI! Rock on!
@@bipbong2906 well yeah he's playing a roland pcr 500 but the synth behind the organ sound is what I was wondering about. Midi keyboards are just used as controllers/keyboards and don't actually produce any sound alone
I’ll always love Kevin and whatever he decides to do with his music remember when this WAS Tame Impala before currents came out. I thought this stuff was phenomenal it’s like this psychedelic rock music that was loud but crisp and well produced. Currents is my favorite really but Lonerism was such a great album when I was 18 when it came out
I do not smoke any weed at all but I am really fond of this band...Love this second album "Lonerism". One of the best Indie Album produced in 2012 for sure...Brilliant !!!
I never said they didn't sound amazing live. I'm just explaining why this video sounds good. I listen to tame impala for a year already and i know that they can easily make a good show!

Would agree, it's like a breakthrough and to this day their greatest song.
@@myfriendgoo2816 I'd say that's probably Let It Happen but this is definitely the best off Lonerism
Not as good as runway houses city clouds
@@pottergeist runway houses city clouds is incredible, though you are the first person ive heard to say it's better than apocalypse dreams

Tame Impala's music is what I use when I need to prove music(and almost every moment of life) can be beautiful.
same
when I listen to this music my breathing slows and I feel really calm and at peace
you are talking!
Actually is one of my favourite videos on youtube. Not even kidding. Just love the different sound this studio session gives to the album recordings.
TAME IMPALA IS GREAT
ya sangat bagus
Holy shit.. this is the best performance of Apocalypse Dreams I've ever heard. UNREAL. My brain exploded with joy.
the golden age of tame impala
Don't say that😕 he'll go back to his roots one day, and when he does... Holy fucking shit.
Behave. Parker and Tame is evolving. Still great

golden psychedelic age of tame impala
It's absolutely mesmerising. Hypnotic. I can't seem to walk away
Not gonna lie, I'm upset they cut that incredible jam off the end of Apocalypse Dreams, would have pushed the boundaries of perfection.
always coming back to this, i love and miss this era of tame so much. hoping the next album is more of a rock heavy sound
never felt so good, thank you psychedelic god
MADISON LIVIER that’d fckin right man

i always come back to this version of apocalypse dreams theres just something so fucking good about it

Reencarnation of The Beatles and Pink Floyd, these three songs are instant classics. I hope Kevin takes this sound again for the new Album.
