I get this point of view, many loyalists feel that history is being greenwashed and that the Irish & Irish diaspora view of things is becoming the recorded history. It often happens. Children in schools in Britain learn nothing of the atrocities of the famine, the land clearance, Cromwell's massacres around Ireland etc etc, history as so often happens is written by the victors. While I empathise with the loyalist community on this, they also need to remember their own paramilitaries, if history is to be told truthfully, both sides must be fully examined in order to learn & heal.
