Thank you. I just found your channel and I really like it. Do you have system to review projects that you have put away and bring them back to work on? I always worry that I will have out of sight out of mind forever syndrome.
From a practical aspect, I use most of my quilts in my home. Bed sized quilts are used seasonally. Some projects are designed and created specifically for studio decoration and those get rotated to keep the wall art from being static. Smaller projects are also used in the home at specific times of the year. I created some videos early on and chatted about how I made them. You could check out the playlist, "Show and Tell" to see some of those. I am considering a video trunk show during the winter to discuss some other quilts.
Do you make any notes for a project you set aside? I worry about forgetting where I was and what I was doing?? I have done that before especially if I am not making a project exactly like the pattern
I tried keeping a quilting diary but I found that I frequently "forgot" to make the notes I needed. If I need to remember something about a project, I will pin a note to it. I also have the ability to review my videos for other information. When I am hand quilting, I usually leave straight pins with colorful heads marking where I am.
@@shamrockquiltstudio Thanks great idea about pinning a note. I too could not do a diary but pinning a note to a specific piece is a great idea. I have started and stopped several projects and had no idea where I left off or what my thoughts were for the project. Thanks
