the winter queen is actually the biggest winner of Shadowlands. her base (Amirdrassil) was placed on Azeroth on the dragon islands, defended by the most powerful species on the planet (dragons), She created a personal passage to the mortal world. One of the dragonflights and the entire race of night elves dedicate themselves entirely to the defense of Amirdrasill She managed to gain favor and an powerful artifact from one of the nature gods. (Elune) Tree was connected to the soul of Azeroth, the most powerful source of power in the universe. I still believe that Varynoth has some connection with the Winter Queen, they both have almost identical appearances and powers. Kinda funny to see how Pyromancer is suspicious about Eonar when Acco doesn't trust Wnter Queen. Nature Girls are very shady :D Can't wait to learn more about dark side of Elune
Il'gynoth: "Five lanterns now darkened. The flames they seek will light the Masters' way." Let's imagine the lanterns are either the aspects or the incarnates. By metaphor, what if the World Tree is "the flames they seek" (Fyrakk's line about bathing his enemies in flames once he gets the tree)? That ties the World Tree together with N'Zoth's plans.
It's easy as to why the night fae and shadowlands residence are in the emerald dream. It was stated in lore that both the emerald dream and ardenweal are connected and are roughly opposites.
Vyranoth is anti titan. Aspects are now powered by the tree/Azeroth, not titans anymore thus Aspects are not anymore in the same camp as the titans. Vyranoth not only gained a power up but also it turned up that now Aspects might also fight against the titans with her
I would love Vyranoth to be a double agent. It gives iridikron’s plotting more forethought. Give fyrakk shadowflame to make him go crazy, giving the aspects a clear reason to trust that vyranoth’s betrayal of the incarnates is genuine. With these two in place, either outcome gets Iridikron the power of the world tree. Either fyrakk succeeds, or Vyranoth does. I would love for Ysera to actually be in league with this shadow council of the winter queen, primus, and denathrius who are plotting to control the flow of anima etc etc… but, sadly, thats all copeium 😂 the reason Ysear came back was to give the players this cheesy story where she reunites with her daughter and sees/shows her what a strong, independant woman she has become. Its trite, its lackluster, and its exactly the kind of story the DaSnoozer and his team filled DF with. Its all about family. 😂
prior to blizzcon your videos for awhile had been pretty critical and negative. you weren't necessarily wrong... but lately your videos have been a lot more positive and i really enjoy your lore speculation and engagement in the story. i love what you've been putting out!
Be Wary of the Green Eyes ?! I wonder if Ysera corruption of that Nightmare aint completely gone, or without knowing it, it still lingers a bit without exposing it really, really. And if there are still more Dreadlords lingering around that have infiltrated the Emeral Dream from the back door ?!
I don't know why everything always has to be bad. The tree is a union of life (Elune) and death (Winter Queen), who are seen as sisters. There are books in the dream where you can guess that the dream "docks" to each of the cosmic powers, which is why many powers like the Void want to get to Azeroth via the dream. We also know, through books in dreams, that the first World Tree on Azeroth was planted by Eonar, with a seed she got from Elune, who is her lover (and Aman'thul tore it up, but there are still roots) . Elune is probably evil now too...
So you would prefer a video where I basically say "Hey guys, look, it's a tree. See ya next time". We don't speculate on good things cause that's boring. Edit. Elune has always been Sus.
It’s funny you’ve done this video. As i was flying about and near the world tree in the dream, there is a little cove with characters from Arden weird story in shadowland, and i was wondering what the point of them being there.
I personally don't think that Vyranoth is a spy for Iridikron, however her attaining the power from Azeroth still works for him, as he likely knows she will be able to shape the Aspects/Mortals perception of the titans, we saw this with the quest when we go to the halls of valor and she turns Odyn into Frosty the Snowman, and fucks off with his storm dragons. (Granted Wrathion never needed much convincing to rebel against anything, especially the titans after how he feels about his purification and birth). She's achieving his goal through a different means and he doesn't see it as enough of a deviation from their original plan because it will lead to the same conclusion either way. They may end up trading blows later down the line but by that point she's done everything she's needed to do for him, maybe without even realizing. He's clearly set all this up with contingencies in mind.
Reread the infiltration report from Shadowlands and Iridikron and the World Soul Saga looks like the culmination of the plan put forth there. Point 1 in is was to give the Titans something to oppose them and now that the Legion is gone we conveniently got Iridikron who is working with the Void (Last Titan). Which brings us to point 2, they are going to try and leverage the Void against the others (Hello next two expansions). Which brings us to point 3 and if they are able to leverage the Void the Light will have to respond and they have an agent to steer that response. Point 5 of the plan is basically already completed through Sargeras and the Legion expansion. Which only leaves Point 4 and the connection between Ardenweald and the plane of Life. It is interesting that they say Life and NOT the Dream. So it begs the question was the agent able to complete their mission
Actually, Death helped against Legion ones at least. In Afterlife cinematic about Draka we could see her spying against demons in a same place, where Illidari was in Harbingers cinematic
According to the writers that was then on a a Legion home world just living their best life. Not confirmed at least as helping us but more looking to keep tabs on Legion movement.
Forgot to add this to my comment ; do you think or have any theories why Vyranoth and the Winter Queen share similar models? I can see others have commented about this, but still.
I never liked the idea (however it was obvious from the start) that one of the Incarnates would side with us eventually. And I was like, yeah, probably Vyranoth, the female and "weak" one, but after reading the book... If she really hold Raszageth such a dear friend, and if she really felt and meant Alexstrasza's betrayal, then she is really a badass and I can't trust her intentions now. Also, who knows what Iridikron told her or expected from her behind the scenes. I think her reaction to Fyrrak's craziness was genuine, but maybe not just because she felt sorry ( she even said that) I really hope that's the case, and eventually she got us played. I just refuse to believe that Blizz wrote all the incarnates so dumb except for Iridikron. If yes, then Iridikron is dumb as well, due to surrounding him such traitorous idiots.
WoW's story, in a nutshell, is a reflection of real life. That is, mortals trust in the evil characters pretending to be good because mortals desperately seek "peace" but they actually fall into contention/status-quo and be made pawns in someone's game. Mortals are so easy to manipulate, and all the cosmic lore characters in WoW are constantly using mortal races to their own ends. Mortal races keep falling into this because they only know to follow; they gotta stop and think what they want. In the end, it will be the final step imo. Mortals realising this fact and start working together vs all the cosmic forces because NONE are good for them.
God I’m so lost lol. I’ve kept track of the lore for so many years, but in the culmination of events, I find myself confused as fuck 😂 Every single god/goddess, every single entity, seems to have an agenda and is actively moving pieces on the chess board. From Elune, to the winter queen, to the primus, to iridikron, to ysera, to Azeroth, to the titans, and the old gods, the void lords, the na’aru….all of them! As we transition into the world soul saga, it’s easier and easier to see these entities making their moves. But their agenda remains unclear. And it’s so frustrating lol
I honestly don't think Iridikron thought Vyranoth would switch sides. He seems to have seen his 'brother and sister' as disposable distractions. I think he'll be pissed to see her standing with the Aspects because he expected her (and Fyrakk) to die. Pretty sure he thought the Aspects/us would remove them for him so he can cozy up to the Void and no way, even crazy Fyrakk, would go for that. He's basically a narcissist/psychopath with a 'mission'. The Jim Jones of Dragons. (I'm also really sick - it blows that I feel like warmed over death in the run up to Xmas)
Just found out my brother's whole family won't be making it to Christmas for exactly the same reason. Get well soon. I'm torn between Vyranoth being a fallback position if Fyrakk didn't succeed and Fyrakk being a wedge to get Vyranoth accepted by the Aspects such that, by the time Iridikron faces the Titans, the Aspects will have been swayed to his side rather than the Titans' side. He doesn't seem to be trying to kill the dragons, he's trying to separate them from the Titans. See the exchange between Iridikron and Chromie after the end of the mega dungeon. He's not trying to fight her or even browbeat her, he's trying to redpill her.
@@willythemailboy2 both those can be true, although I doubt she was ever a fall back. More just that she needed to do this whereas Fyrakk needed to fail. Bro, I'm so sorry about your brother and family. That sucks. Hope you still have a wonderful Christmas.
