Just a fun little video, we did a bunch of F-22 Dogfighting stuff I thought maybe it would be cool to do some BVR stuff. Big thanks to Feisty, Lacika, Serza and Gornyak for their help in the production of this video I hope you guys liked it.
I'm from an aviation background. But you are the reason I have any clue at all about what I'm doing in DCS. just started this hobby in VR a couple weeks ago. Thanks for your solid channel.
That's the, some dude's SU-33 came up against an F-22 rider of his policy, which really came in handy that day. Who'da thunk? We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
One thing love about your videos and tac view explanations is the fact you show just how much thinking and skill it takes to be a fighter pilot, that it’s not just point and shoot etc. that you need to know all of your equipment and what and how it will react along with whatever scenarios it may be put into. Not to mention also knowing the enemies aircraft and weapons capabilities. All while your trying to maneuver, outthink, out fly the opponent you also have to deal with the g forces that are being applied to your body and fighting the rush to pass out for few seconds from whatever hard turns you may be doing that unfortunately this game itself can’t show,. But from just watching your tac view and what’s happening Def makes you have a totally new respect for what a fighter pilot does,,I thank you for showing us this. Wish I had a good pc to play this game. But have to thank all our military and of course the pilots who train to do the stuff we all like to watch for entertainment here on TH-cam
I scrolled past the thumbnail at first thinking it was one of those cancerous microsoft flight sim “wE iNtErCePt aIRliNers liVe” videos - then I saw the growling sidewinder logo and I was like “oh shit this is gonna be great!” And it was. It was great.
Another great video. For som reason I enjoy the missile engagements far more than the ultra close dogfighting with guns. Could be the satisfying BOOM when the missile finds its mark! 😄

Geeze imagine being in out of those countryside homes and these jets start fighting just overhead blaring insanely loud noise shaking your home. Missles launching, jet engines at full afterburner and planes exploding and crashing nearby. lol

@@sh0ckv3l33 The sources I found, show the F-15 RCS is ~15m2 while the F-22 is ~.00025. Those are HUGE differences. If anything, maybe the modder has gone far enough?? Most sources that show dBm2, are citing sub 0 numbers on average. Rule of thumb is that you end up with a higher RCS value but is still useful for comparison with legacy 4th and 3rd gen fighters (since they are publicly known). The reference was the LM's quote of the "smaller than a golf sized ball" at 20nm. So if you end up with a higher RCS you did something wrong, lol.
F22 Stealth but those con trails. I know lots of people like me who don't have DCS but interested in military aviation watch your videos coz it's good entertainment. Great stuff much appreciated
Are the F22's here just skins over the F15 or are they set up with all the stealth, and maneuverability of the F22? I know you were doing BVR and maybe needed to get the 35's off the Lufthansa but if these are set up like the F22' s would you've been able to make it in right behind them with out them picking you up?
11:39 What happens if the Su-33s stay with the airliner and don't separate from it? Doesn't this adversely affect the F-22s options for engagement because they can't use Fox 2 or Fox 3 without risking hitting the airliner by mistake?
If they stay there, the F-22s can just catch up and gun them down, and even if they just break too late they can get into a significant positional disadvantage. The moment they know there are F-22s coming for them they're sitting ducks around the airliner, they need to break as early as possible if they want any hope of an even fight.
@@DeeSnow97 The Raptors would lose their stealth advantage and also be taking a huge gamble by waiting to engage WVR, because the Flankers would have the opportunity to missile lock them before then and are also more dangerous in a dogfight than they are BVR. As for the Flankers, they won't know the Raptors are inbound until they become detectable on radar, so there's no reason for them to disengage before then anyway. I'm pointing out that the airliner represents a hostage which they could use as a "human shield".
I really liked this scenario, because its something that would happen IRL. That's my favorite type of scenarios - you can immerse yourself and imagine its the real thing.
Imagine being the Lufthansa pilot. You're intercepted by two enemy aircraft and they're forcing you to change course. Then the two aircraft suddenly change course and break off from escorting you. Some time passes and you're wondering what happened when two F-22 Raptors pull up on your left and right. They stay for a moment then peel off without saying a word.
Anyone else have the hairs on back of their neck tingle during the intro? That ticking and bass trumpet sound coming through the sub is pretty terrifying..... love it.

This video is so freaking awesome that it helped me fined spots on my screen that I need to clean. You must have some good set up to produce something this good. I'd love to know what all you're using so I can do this at home. I'm just glad that Russia is no longer our enemy. A good people with a rich and deep culture.
Btw if the modder of that F-22. If he did it everything down through the last ribbit that SU-33 wouldnt even know the F-22 was there and it cannot even fire a missile at the F-22. Basically its F-15 FM vs SU-33. Btw i love those BVR even some people say its boring. I love those missiles doing work at long ranges.
How did you get the F-22 mod installed? It's not showing up in game for me? I put it in my saved games dcs mods aircraft folder but nothing happens? Another video says to put it into the tech folder but that didn't work either? Huge fan of the videos btw! Love the historic vs modern dogfights.

Kinda seems like you're still using 4th Gen tactics with a 5th Gen fighter. Turning after a FOX only shows your larger RCS to the enemy should they be turning back into you or looking/working through HMS. These 5th Gen are best nose on.
If you don't mind me asking, are you playing this on the standalone DCS world or the steam version? I'm looking to start playing, and want to know which you prefer
Cameron Aitken I'm on standalone always have been I think its better but I'm sure steam users will tell u that steam is better. I personally recommend standalone I've heard many people say they switched from steam to standalone but I've never heard someone go from standalone to stream. Sooooo that's my 2 cents lol.
I think the low flying mig might have evaded the missile because of the combination of doing a cobra to slow down really quick, right after popping lots of chaff. The chaff usually won't work against PD radar because it's not moving fast enough to fool the radar. But in this case, the plane was pretty much stalling, so the radar may have been fooled by the chaff.

He's done all that, search his videos for explanations of Fox 1, 2, 3 etc. His presentations are USAF Academy level.

I think the low flying mig might have evaded the missile because of the combination of doing a cobra to slow down really quick, right after popping lots of chaff. The chaff usually won't work against PD radar because it's not moving fast enough to fool the radar. But in this case, the plane was pretty much stalling, so the radar may have been fooled by the chaff.
